Chapter 112 -  Naruto Wants to Learn Chidori?

Naruto practically bounced in place.

"That's so cool! Teach me! Teach me!"

Arata looked at him and shook his head.

"Naruto, it doesn't suit you."

Naruto's face twisted immediately. "You're lying! You just want to teach Sasuke and not me!"

Arata rubbed his temple, then explained patiently.

"Chidori is an assassination thrust. You have to rush straight into your opponent's range. If your speed isn't fast enough, they'll interrupt you before you land the strike—or kill you during the approach."

"And because you move so fast while using it," Arata continued, "if your eyes can't keep up, you won't even be able to track the enemy properly. Your aim will be off."

"That's why it suits Sasuke. His Sharingan can track the opponent during high-speed movement, and it can read the counterattack."

Sasuke nodded slowly. "So it requires both the eyes… and the body's reaction speed."

"Exactly," Arata said. "If you can't meet those conditions, it won't just be ineffective—it'll backfire. It's A-rank. Not just hard—dangerous."

Sasuke and Sakura understood what that meant.

Naruto didn't.

He crossed his arms, turned his head away, and sulked. "I still think you just don't want to teach me."

Arata stared at him for a second, genuinely speechless.

Then he sighed.

"Fine. Go learn it from Kakashi-sensei with Sasuke. He'll make it clear why it doesn't suit you."

Privately, Arata was thinking something else:

Let Kakashi tell him the real reason—Naruto doesn't even have Lightning nature right now. That'll end the argument instantly.

Somewhere far away, Kakashi sneezed twice in a row while reading at home.

He frowned.

"…Who's thinking about me?"

Ending

With Naruto finally agreeing, Arata felt genuine relief.

He was exhausted—and more importantly, he didn't want any more surprises tonight.

"Alright. That's settled. I'm leaving," he said.

Before anyone could add another word, his figure vanished—moving so fast it was like he was escaping.

Sasuke escorted Naruto and Sakura out of the Uchiha district, since they were too scared to walk through it alone.

By the time Arata returned home, washed up, and lay down, his mind was already on one thing:

the Archives.

Flying Thunder God… sealing arts… forbidden techniques…

Just thinking about what might be inside was enough to make him look forward to tomorrow.

What he didn't know was that news of his promotion to chūnin had already spread across the entire village.

And the strangest part wasn't that he was twelve.

Kakashi had become chūnin at six.

Itachi had become chūnin at ten.

No—what shocked the clans and factions was this:

Arata had barely completed any missions at all.

By normal standards, he had no right to that rank.

Yet the Third Hokage had promoted him personally.

Which meant only one thing:

Konoha's upper layers had noticed him.

And now, every faction in the village was starting to ask the same question—

Who exactly is Arata?
