Chapter 551 Sensationalism!!

Midday.

While Darren was eating at the Slytherin table, Harry and the others came over, which did not surprise Darren.

They wanted to ask him and Snape what exactly had happened last night. Because Snape said in the morning that Darren had also behaved very badly in his office last night.

This was an incredible thing for Darren.

After all, from first year until now, Darren had always insisted that Snape was a good man when facing Voldemort, and Darren had never said a single bad word about Snape.

For something like this to suddenly happen, could it be that Snape had done something excessive? Darren saw Snape glance at Harry the moment they came over. He knew that Snape wanted to see the acting skills he had assigned him last night.

Darren pretended to hesitate, then told a few lame lies.

"Nothing… yesterday, yesterday… last night, Professor Snape and I had some, some arguments over something, and I lost my temper…"

Snape looked at him helplessly.

Because in Snape's opinion, the lies Darren told were full of loopholes.

But to his surprise, after Darren said this, Harry actually believed it.

Snape was suddenly a little dazed.

Was it that Harry's IQ was too low, or was lying really just about acting confidently?

In the afternoon, there was a Care of Magical Creatures class.

Professor Grubbly-Plank still liked Darren.

She gave Darren a Bowtruckle, saying that he could come and help raise it with her when he was free.

But Harry didn't like Professor Grubbly-Plank, because she refused to tell them where Hagrid had gone.

And Grubbly-Plank was also suspected of currying favor with Darren. This was something Harry and Ron said secretly.

The two of them thought that Professor Grubbly-Plank knew Darren was very popular, so she deliberately tried to curry favor with him by giving him the Bowtruckle.

"Darren likes that tree-guarding thing, that's why she did it!"

Ron secretly told Harry.

Darren pretended not to hear them. He stayed there taking care of his Bowtruckle, deliberately pretending to like it very much.

So that Harry wouldn't ask him to choose whether he liked Hagrid or Grubbly-Plank more.

Obviously, Darren thought Hagrid was fine as a friend, but as a professor, he was far too unreliable.

However, this kind of evaluation would obviously not make Harry and the others happy, so he didn't emphasize his stance on this matter.

While he was listening carefully to Professor Grubbly-Plank's lecture, he noticed Malfoy quietly approaching Harry.

He hardly needed to think to know that Malfoy was just going to mock him. That guy really had too much free time.

And Harry was indeed easily affected by Malfoy. Darren didn't hear what they said.

But Harry ended up being scratched by the Bowtruckle.

With his hands covered in blood, he rushed out the moment the bell rang.

Darren put on a worried expression, returned the Bowtruckle to Professor Grubbly-Plank, and also walked toward the castle.

When he finally caught up with Harry, he saw Luna coming out of Professor Sprout's Herbology class inside the greenhouse.

Ginny was with her as well. Luna suddenly rushed in front of them.

She shouted loudly, "Darren, I believe what you and Harry said! You really did see the dark lord return, and the person in the projection was the Voldemort!"

"Thank you…"

Darren showed a grateful expression. But Hermione didn't look grateful at all.

She pursed her lips and said, "She's just trying to attract attention. She's already joined the Order of the Phoenix, so of course she believes that dark lord has returned!"

"Don't be like that, Hermione… Luna saved my life. Can you at least show her some respect for that?

I admit she's different from other girls. She's strange and people call her crazy, but she's a good person!"

[Ding, Father +20]

[Ding, Holy Father +40]

[Ding, Holy Father +30]

[Ding… Darren accepted the Father value.]

Apparently, saying good things about Luna didn't earn much Holy Father value.

Because many people still thought Luna was a strange girl. Darren continued to look at Hermione insistently.

Hermione was a little unhappy, but she still nodded.

"Fine. Even if I can't like her, I'll be nice to her, as long as she doesn't argue with me."

Hermione muttered.

Darren smiled at her. She lowered her head slightly, looking a little embarrassed.

Of course, besides Luna's support, there was also Ernie, a second-year student who suspected that Darren was the Heir of Slytherin.

He shouted loudly, "Darren, Harry, I support you too! Not just Luna, that weirdo!"

Darren naturally expressed his thanks.

But his happiness disappeared after entering Professor Sprout's greenhouse.

Because this time, Professor Sprout had them dealing with dragon dung. A full hour and a half of class!

Darren couldn't believe it. He could only follow everyone in the sweltering greenhouse, handling Professor Sprout's favorite fertilizer.

When he finally walked out of the greenhouse, the only thought left in his mind was going back to take a shower.

But before they separated, Professor Sprout assigned them a large amount of homework.

And a long essay.

In order to continue relying on the enchanted quill, Darren didn't even go to the Great Hall for dinner, urging the quill to hurry up and write his homework.

But when he went to Snape's office with his schoolbag and locked the door, he found that there was still a huge amount of homework left.

Snape always made him do homework in his office. Darren used to think this was a good habit, but now he only felt tired.

After attending classes day after day, he was already exhausted.

The only pleasure he had was forcing the quill to do his homework.

Now, he still had to do his own assignments, and there was so much of it.

He suspected that if he wrote everything himself, he might have to write until the early hours of the next morning.

Originally, he planned to come back after Snape's detention and let the quill finish the rest, at most just sleeping a little later.

He could even read a manga while directing the quill to write.

The only thing he needed was for Snape to agree to let him leave earlier.

That wasn't difficult.

Because Darren thought of a good idea within minutes.

An idea that would let Snape send him back early every day.

Acting.

Not bad.

He planned to tell Snape and let Snape and Dumbledore discuss it.

No matter how the scenes of their "breakup" were supposed to go, as long as he acted them out every night, it would be enough.

That way, Snape wouldn't keep thinking of ways to make him practice acting all day.

Teaching the little Holy Father how to act—he really didn't know what they were thinking.
