The Receptionist turned around, her professional demeanor slipping into genuine apprehension as she walked towards the towering Master Gateway. She opened her palm, and a small, heavy rock intricately engraved with ancient spatial runes appeared resting on her skin.
She walked towards the small activation pillar standing directly in front of the dormant gateway. Taking a deep breath, she placed the runic rock perfectly onto the indentation and tapped the stone's surface to initiate the sequence.
BOOOOM!!
A massive, suffocating wave of corrupted spirit energy burst out from the rock, expanding outward like a physical shockwave. It violently smashed into everyone present in the hall, pushing the observing students several feet back across the polished floor.
"My Goodness!! What is that?!!" A student exclaimed, instinctively closing his face with the side of his hand as if bracing for a physical blow.
