"Save you?"
Mirabella stared at Veer in confusion, tilting her head to the side. Her confusion was genuine; once the transaction was complete, she saw no reason to concern herself with his death. "Save you from what?" She asked.
"You! You can see I am bleeding! Stop it or I'll die! I have given you everything you asked for! If you're looking for the one who stole it, that's his lifeless body there, his head blown off." He yelled, pointing to Shaw's body, his desperation absolute.
Mirabella slowly nodded, acting out a few painful seconds of thinking—a gesture of false consideration before finally stretching out her hand and healing Veer's shoulder. She sealed the wound, ensuring he didn't die immediately, but only because she was done extracting information and was now bored.
"I thought you won't help him."
