"She's never late." He murmured under his breath. Even though Serena just resumed work as his executive assistant, he knew about her ethics. She was never late.
His chest tightened, suddenly having a bad feeling. Suppressing the feeling, he dialed her but was met with a mechanical reply..

The bad feeling within kept spreading as he dialed her number, but was met with the same cold response.
