It seemed like an eternity.

Gu Yuxuan walked down the aisle. All the eyes were on him as the employees had lined up, reaching the space all the way to his office. He nodded his head between all the greetings.
When he finally got to his office, he turned to look at everyone that came back. The people who trusted him and never left when they had every opportunity to do so.
"Thank you", he said.
Just two simple words that made many tear up. They understood well that the last few weeks couldn't have been easy. Hence that thank you fell heavily in their hearts.
The silent stares were enough to put pressure on a certain part of Gu Yuxuan's chest. He took a deep breath, putting his hand behind his back.
"Let's get back to work", he said with a broken voice.
