As Zimo entered, Gu Yuxuan didn't look up. Only when Zimo reached the space beside him did he look up.
"Since Wang Renshu wants to see me, I should probably go", he said, averting his gaze. "But I don't know what you discussed with him."
"What I do know about him is that his father had always favoured him, protected him and kept him from the world for a long time. His father has all the power which will naturally fall onto him one day, but I don't think… he's in a position to overpower his father yet."
Zimo's fist clenched tightly.
"What is it that he wants?" Gu Yuxuan asked.
Zimo didn't answer immediately. "I don't know."
Gu Yuxuan smiled faintly. "That means you agreed to any of his terms."
"I'm sorry."
Standing up, Gu Yuxuan's eyes didn't look tense at all. Too soft, almost amusing.
Zimo's heart started pounding faster with every second Gu Yuxuan gazed at him. Then Gu Yuxuan took one step forward, their faces close to each other.
