Chapter 68 - Battle

Just as Odin was analyzing the power of Sigurd, he suddenly felt a huge space portal appearing in Midgard.

"Everyone, get ready; the enemy is about to arrive."

Just as Odin was waiting patiently for the arrival of the enemy, he suddenly felt a familiar power from the opponent.

"Everyone, hold on! They might not be an enemy, but reinforcement."

Frigga also looked toward the approaching people. She could feel that those coming out of the space-time portal looked like humans, but she still kept her vigilance; after all, she had faced a few who wanted to change the future.

"Still, don't drop your guard because of their appearance."

Odin said in a stern voice.

Just as they were looking at the approaching people…

On the opposite side, a man walked out of the space portal, then looked toward the surrounding area only to see people staring at him.

"Guys, I think we might have appeared in the wrong world. Looking at them, we might have entered the wrong world again."

Odin looked at the person coming out of the portal. He could feel the blonde one was Asgardian—he might be his future son—but looking at his behavior, he could only shake his head.

Then he spoke in a stern voice.

"What are you doing here? Don't you know that manipulating time is taboo?"

Hearing the words, Thor, who was joking with friends, suddenly felt a jolt of fear, the kind his father had instilled in him over the years.

Just as Thor didn't know what to say, another person in armor came forward.

"Sorry for my friend's reaction. We come from the future because we got information about a group of multiverse criminals who want to destroy different universes."

Odin looked at the person and wanted to know what kind of trouble was approaching.

"Oh? So what kind of people are you talking about? After all, I have met a few of your kind, too, who wanted to change their future, but in the process, they tried to destroy everything."

Tony Stark looked toward Odin and knew he was the most difficult person to deal with. After all, this person, in every reality, had power beyond the multiverse level, power that could confront Celestials.

He even had doubts that Odin in every reality might be a clone that could feed information to each other, but he never knew the answer.

Then another person from their group spoke.

"All-Father Odin, you can rest assured we didn't travel from the future to change anything. We got information that the Masters of Evil might attack your Earth-616, so we came to help."

Odin looked at the people around, seeing only a few mortals and one Asgardian. He didn't know what to say to them; after all, they came here to help. But what surprised him was that a mortal was carrying Mjölnir.

"Mortal, you are carrying Mjölnir of Asgard."

Hearing the words, Thor looked toward Odin.

"Father, I gave it to him to fight in this battle."

Odin nodded, but he still didn't understand why there was no future Sigurd or himself in this group. Then he thought of Sigurd's battle power.

"Why are your brother and sister not with you for the battle?"

Hearing his father's question, Thor was silent, as if something about the future couldn't be explained. Odin still tried to formulate an idea in his mind.

Just as Odin had his own doubts about the future, he suddenly felt a vibration from the void. His eyes turned toward the outer surface of Earth, and a huge spaceship entered their vision.

While Midgard was welcoming the upcoming battle…

Sigurd, who had finished his battle with the Mephisto variants, walked inside Asgard to the place where Frigga and Hippolyta were staying with Diana.

Hippolyta saw Sigurd walking toward them and knew the problem outside Asgard had been solved.

"Husband."

Hearing Hippolyta's words, Sigurd nodded.

"The problem in Asgard has been dealt with, but you should still be vigilant during my absence. Now I will go to Jotunheim to look in on Hela. I suspect a few undead beings might have crawled out of their graves."

Then, just as he was about to leave:

"They might have another plan as well. Don't hesitate to use my spear."

Then Sigurd disappeared from the palace.

Jotunheim, on the battlefield.

At the same time, Hela was wielding her sword on the battlefield. As she traveled deeper into Jotunheim, she slaughtered all who stood in her path.

Then she looked toward the Valkyrie leader, Sigrun, who was near her, and spoke in a low voice that only Sigrun could hear.

"Increase our speed. I want to slaughter every enemy ahead, and I need to finish here to reach the main battlefield where my father and uncle will be fighting."

Sigrun looked toward Hela, who was charging across the battlefield in such a hurry.

"Princess, you don't have to worry. We will capture the rebellion before the battle in Midgard starts."

At the same time, inside a deep cave…

Laufey looked over the information, then turned toward the person opposite him.

"King Malekith, I just got the message: the battle in Asgard has started, Sigurd is busy handling things there, and Odin is in Midgard to face the enemy. Now it's our time to settle the score with Asgard."

Malekith, who had disappeared after the last battle, wore armor where Sigurd's spear had pierced him—a blow that should have killed him. But luck had favored him; the Aether had saved him, though he also lost his greatest weapon.

"This time, Asgard will pay the price for what they did to me in Svartalfheim, and their heir will die in this battle."

Malekith looked toward Laufey, then signaled his loyal Dark Elves, who had stayed loyal even during his disappearance.

"King Laufey, give the order to the army. My people will march with yours. This time, no Asgardian should be left alive."

King Laufey ordered his generals.

"Order our army to encircle the Asgardian army from every side. Don't let them escape the death trap we have prepared for them."
