Cherreads

Chapter 232 - Chapter 229

After chatting with Hagrid, Roy walked with Hermione, Cassandra, Daphne, Astoria, Cho, Ginny, and Luna toward the castle. The familiar warmth of Hogwarts welcomed them, glowing lanterns illuminating the ancient stone walls. Students filled the Entrance Hall with laughter, chatter, and echoes of trunks rolling across the floor.

Once inside the Great Hall, they parted for their respective house tables:

Roy headed to the Hufflepuff table, where cheers and claps greeted him the moment he sat down.

Hermione and Ginny went to Gryffindor.

Daphne, Cassandra, and Astoria slid elegantly into the Slytherin ranks.

Luna drifted dreamily toward Ravenclaw, followed by Cho with a bright smile.

The floating candles cast warm light across the hall as the Sorting Ceremony began. One by one, new students were sorted—nervous whispers turning into relieved cheers as houses welcomed their newest members.

Then dinner began.

Roasted meats, buttered vegetables, fresh pumpkin loaves, and golden puddings appeared instantly. Students dug in, laughing and sharing stories of their summer. Roy enjoyed the meal quietly with his housemates, teasing them gently and listening to their excitement for the new year.

After plates vanished, Dumbledore rose from his seat.

"Welcome to another year at Hogwarts—"

But a sudden, obnoxious little cough echoed through the hall.

"Hem-hem."

Dumbledore paused. Every head turned.

Umbridge stood there, her pink cardigan glowing like an overripe salmon. She gave a sickly sweet smile that made half the students flinch. She requested to address the students, and with polite patience, Dumbledore allowed it.

As she began her monotonous, syrupy speech about "rules," "order," and "the Ministry's benevolent guidance," Roy tapped his table. A cup of cold oolong tea materialized instantly. He sipped calmly, completely unconcerned by her droning voice.

Ten minutes passed.Roy finished his tea, set the cup down, stretched lazily, and yawned loudly.

"Is the toad done yet?" he asked, voice carrying across the hall.

Gasps erupted. Some students choked on their water. The professors stared, wide-eyed.

Umbridge's eye twitched, but she continued speaking, pretending she didn't hear him. Roy rolled his eyes, stood up, and walked over to Dumbledore.

"Headmaster, I'll be taking the Hufflepuff students back to the common room. We value our time."

Dumbledore, hiding a smile behind his hand, nodded. "Very well, Roy."

Roy turned and waved to Professor Sprout, who beamed like a proud mother. The Hufflepuffs stood up eagerly, ready to leave the torture behind.

But suddenly—

"STOP!"

Roy turned slowly.Umbridge stood trembling with anger.

"For disturbing the students… I am deducting ten points from Hufflepuff!"

Roy blinked. Then laughed.

"Hufflepuff couldn't care less about points," he replied casually.

The entire hall froze.

Then—Every professor nodded.Every student nodded.Even Dumbledore gave a tiny amused nod.

Umbridge looked stunned, mouth hanging open.

Roy continued, walking closer as he spoke:

"The whole point system was created to motivate the houses to compete so students can learn. And Hufflepuff has already won the House Cup four years in a row."

Murmurs spread across the hall.

"Winning once, twice—even three times—you can brag about it," Roy added with a smirk. "But after four years, it's honestly too boring to brag anymore."

The Hufflepuff table erupted into laughter, clapping and cheering.

Gryffindor students looked jealous.Slytherins glared with envy.Ravenclaws looked like they'd swallowed lemon juice. And the professors exchanged looks that clearly said, If only Roy were in our house…

Roy had:

Trained Hufflepuff students in advanced spells

Reinforced their Quidditch team

Bought them a full set of Sky1 brooms from Skyjade Dynamics

Helped them excel in academics

Created a culture of unity and strength

No wonder every house—and half the staff—envied Hufflepuff.

And Professor Sprout?

She was practically glowing. Her chest swelled with pride, eyes shining brightly.

Roy nodded to her respectfully and led his house toward the entrance. The Hufflepuffs followed him like a triumphant army, cheering and laughing at Umbridge's stunned expression.

As they left the Great Hall, one thing became clear:

The new year had begun, and Roy was going to shake Hogwarts again.
