Chapter 223 - Chapter 220

The private jet touched down smoothly on the runway in southern France. The autumn air, crisp yet welcoming, brushed against the young prodigy as he stepped off the plane. Roy Valvas, heir to the Valvas legacy, now a rising legend in both the wizarding and muggle worlds, adjusted his cloak and walked with measured grace toward the waiting carriages and guards.

As the doors to the Valvas mansion opened, a familiar sight greeted him. Darius Valvas, his grandfather and a living legend of strategy and power, stood tall, his expression a mixture of pride and curiosity. Beside him, Clara Valvas, radiant as ever despite the years, smiled warmly. Alex Valvas, Roy's father, remained stoic, while Jessica Valvas, his mother, bore a mixture of admiration and feigned scolding that made Roy's lips twitch with amusement.

Inside the grand hall, the household had gathered. Albedo, Rem, Ram, Grayfia Lucifuge, Velenala Bael, Narcissa Black, Bela White, and Nagini—all watched him with varying degrees of awe, jealousy, or admiration. The sight of his loyal summons and lovers waiting for him, their eyes reflecting anticipation, made Roy's chest swell with pride.

"Welcome back, Roy," Darius said, his voice firm but warm. "I've heard a great deal about your exploits in the Triwizard Tournament."

"Not just the Tournament," Clara added, her eyes twinkling. "You've… exceeded even our expectations."

Roy inclined his head politely, trying to hide his slight embarrassment. He had long since mastered the art of humility—but only in public. Within these walls, among those who truly knew him, there was no need for pretenses.

Jessica's gaze fell on him with playful reproach. "Roy Valvas! Why did you not invite us to your music concert and dance? We heard from Clara that you performed everything—Baby Song, There is Nothing Holding Back, Flute of Lugia, Moonlight Sonata! And that many students from Beauxbatons and Hogwarts sent letters—your admirers—without a single word to your parents?"

Roy's eyes widened. He looked at Alex, silently pleading for help. Alex merely shook his head, his expression perfectly neutral. Roy groaned inwardly. Figures… I'm on my own here.

Meanwhile, the room's dynamics had shifted subtly. Velenala Bael, Rem, Ram, Albedo, Narcissa Black, Bela White, and Nagini—his ever-loyal companions and protégées—watched Grayfia Lucifuge with a mixture of jealousy and exasperation. She had danced with him during the Yule Ball, and by the accounts he had been sent, she had watched him sing. Clearly, she had left an impression that left others simmering quietly.

Dinner was a lavish affair, as it always was in the Valvas mansion, with courses that could rival a feast at the Ministry of Magic. Roy moved with polite efficiency, engaging in light conversation with his family and companions, all while keeping a careful eye on the subtle tension among those in the room.

Finally, the meal concluded. Roy stood, excused himself, and retired to his private chambers. The soft rustle of his cloak echoed through the hall as he ascended the stairs. Once inside his room, the weight of everything outside—expectations, fame, admiration, jealousy—fell away. Here, in the quiet of his sanctuary, Roy allowed himself a moment of relaxation.

He lay down on the expansive bed, listening to the faint murmurs of his household outside. Soon, sleep overtook him, bringing dreams filled with music, magic, and the adventures yet to come.

For Roy Valvas, this was only the beginning.
