The Great Hall had never been louder.
Students from Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, and Durmstrang filled every inch of space—buzzing, whispering, replaying every moment of the First Task. Banners of all three schools floated overhead, enchanted to shimmer with the colors of each champion's house.
But the moment Dumbledore stood, silence fell like a spell.
The Official Announcement
Dumbledore's eyes twinkled as he raised his hands.
"Students, champions, honored guests… the First Task of the Triwizard Tournament has come to an end."
Next to him stood Barty Crouch Sr., stiff and formal, and Ludo Bagman, who looked like he wanted to grab a flag and cheer.
A large scoreboard floated behind them, glowing gold.
Dumbledore continued:
"These are the official results."
Names began to shine one by one:
Beauxbatons
Camille Rousseau — 71 points
Fleur Delacour — 80 points
Durmstrang
Viktor Krum — 68 points
Ivan Dragovich — 59 points
Hogwarts
Harry Potter — 74 points
Ron Weasley — 10 points
The hall erupted into shocked whispers, laughter, gasps, and even some disappointed groans.
Hogwarts students cheered wildly for Harry.
Durmstrang clapped proudly for Krum and Ivan.
Beauxbatons girls screamed Fleur's name like a pop idol concert.
Ron… hid behind his goblet.
Even the Durmstrang boys teased each other:
"Look! Ten points! Ten!"
Fred and George tried not to laugh—but failed spectacularly.
Bagman's Announcement
Ludo Bagman stepped forward, smiling broadly.
"Well done, champions! Now!"
He tapped the glowing Golden Egg floating center stage.
**"Your next challenge awaits within the egg.
Open it, listen closely, and decipher the clue!"**
The egg emitted a faint, eerie hum as everyone stared.
Bagman continued:
**"The Second Task will take place in February!
Train wisely, champion! Solve the riddle!"**
Crouch's Strict Reminder
Barty Crouch Sr. added in a clipped voice:"Failure to understand the clue will lead to certain disadvantage.Do not take this lightly."
Roy, sitting with the committee members, already knew the entire Triwizard sequence… but kept silent, tapping his chin thoughtfully.
He felt multiple glares from Hogwarts girls who remembered how he saved Fleur.
He pretended not to notice.
Breakfast Begins
Dumbledore waved his wand.
Long tables filled instantly with food.
Students cheered and rushed to eat—after the brutal dragon spectacle, appetites were ravenous.
The Great Hall filled with:
excited chatter about the First Task,
theories about the Golden Egg,
teasing, bragging,
and of course…
Constant whispering about Roy "The Yaksha Prince."
Fleur was practically glowing as she smiled at him.Gabrielle whispered something to her sister, making the girl blush.Hermione, Daphne, Astoria, Ginny, Luna, and Cassandra exchanged looks that said:
"We would also like to be saved dramatically in the air by him, thank you."
Roy sighed.
His life was becoming troublesome.
The Next Two Weeks
After breakfast, the inter-school routine began.
For the next 2 weeks:
Students of all three schools attended classes together.
Beauxbatons girls followed Fleur like a queen.
Durmstrang boys avoided Roy like he was a bludger with a grudge.
Hogwarts students glanced fearfully at Ron's every move, scared he'd break something again.
Champions frequently disappeared to study their golden eggs:
Harry tried opening the egg and nearly went deaf.
Fleur opened hers gracefully but still frowned in confusion.
Ivan punched his egg, then apologized awkwardly.
Ron screamed when he opened his—earning 20 laughs per minute.
The Triwizard Tournament calmed for now…
But February—and the Second Task—loomed.
And Roy could already sense trouble brewing.
