After weeks of anticipation, today was finally the day we would discover everything about our baby through the ultrasound scan.
"Feeling anxious?" I questioned Jessica while navigating through traffic toward the medical center.
She let out a dismissive laugh, nibbling on crackers from her purse.
The persistent nausea that plagued her earlier weeks had gradually subsided, allowing her to keep small portions of food down without immediate rejection.
"Look who's talking," she retorted with amusement. "You've been restless since dawn."
"Any expectant father would feel this way before learning their child's sex," I countered defensively.
