Just then, Michael's gaze fell upon Vanessa, who was inside the ring with Keera, her soul restrained by Keera's magical snare. Until that day, Michael had never seen Keera before, so he assumed she might be part of Dreadman's army. In the very next moment, he transmitted himself into the ring, intending to save Vanessa from Keera.
"Michael, she is my friend—and she is Vanessa's mother's sister, as well as an Angel Commander. She has helped me immensely in getting this far and in thwarting all of Dreadman's attacks," Mercy said, stepping into the ring and stopping him.
Hearing Mercy's words, Michael thanked Keera for all the help she had given so far. Then he moved closer to Vanessa and, looking at her, said, "Vanessa, can you recognize me? I'm Michael, your friend. You remember, don't you? We came here together, and I met you in that very cemetery where I was sitting on top of your grave."
But even after hearing Michael's words, Vanessa gave no response.
