"Seira, can we start the next 'Hour of Inscription' soon? I feel like the lingering effects from the last one are almost gone," Arisa Kurusu said, checking her makeup in the mirror of the Student Council office.
"It's been two weeks. We can start it, but we have to be sure the energy's influence is completely gone. Remember how 'thirsty' you were when Alistair was here? If we don't clear the influence, you'll probably throw yourself at him the next time you see him. Do you want to become a mindless beast like those other girls?" Seira Kanonzaka asked coldly. She truly cared for Arisa and didn't want to see her fall.
"Eh, if it's that guy, I wouldn't mind. Fingers just aren't doing it for me lately," Arisa replied casually. Alistair had awakened a desire in her she'd never felt before.
"You... sigh... do what you want. But Alistair is no pushover. He's started his own evolution. I suspect his conditions are similar to ours. He didn't have much 'Mystery' on him before, but he has a special aura. He's likely focusing on physical enhancement. If you think you can overpower him, think again."
Seira analyzed the situation. She wasn't just worried about Arisa; she felt the pull too. She placed a hand on her chest. Her heart was craving Alistair. Usually, her desires weren't this strong.
She and Arisa used the energy from "the object" to evolve, but it made them lustful. They usually relied on Sister Anna to "purify" them or relieved themselves with each other.
Alistair can trigger our energy just by being near us. His energy type must be the same.
"Is he also evolving through negative energy?" Seira whispered to herself.
"What do you mean? Like us? Only we have the 'Broken Cup,' right? Does he have one too?" Arisa leaned over the desk, her heavy breasts flattening against the surface as she stared at Seira.
"Unlikely. But he might have something similar to our 'Evil Holy Grail.' Probably a personal item. Remember, he's been with over ten girls in just a few weeks, and none of them were below our standard." Seira was proud of her looks, but the photos she'd seen of Alistair's previous "conquests" were intimidating.
"True. Those girls were all top-tier. Oh, I forgot! I saw Sister Airi yesterday, and she gave me this. Can you tell what it is?" Arisa pulled a metal ring from her pocket and handed it to Seira.
"What? Let me see."
Seira took the ring. The moment her eyes locked onto it, an invisible energy surged into her brain. It began a silent restructuring, roaming through her body and leaving tiny "marks" before retreating back into the ring. It was so subtle Seira didn't notice a thing.
"Huh? Strange. Did I just daze out for a second?" Seira blinked. Something felt off... perhaps the energy's side effects weren't gone after all? She felt like she'd forgotten something important.
"It's normal. I dazed out too when I first saw it. Airi said Sister Anna found it on the top floor of the library," Arisa said. She didn't think much of an item that just made people daydream.
"It's a good item. Might not seem useful now, but it'll be a powerful tool in a fight," Seira said, rubbing the metal.
"A fight? In this day and age? We have people for that. Why would we fight?" Arisa was confused.
"The Otherworld Gate is going to open again. When it does, anyone who hasn't reached the 'Supernatural' level will suffer from 'Mystery Poisoning' because the energy there is too dense. We won't be able to cross over. But those Demi-humans? They'll be right at home." Seira's voice was grim.
"The Gate? My mom mentioned that... so, what's the plan? Are we going to bring Alistair onto our bed... I mean, our boat?" Arisa asked.
"Of course. Since his energy is like ours, we'll see who's stronger. The winner gets to be on top!" Seira smiled. Even if she lost, she had her mother and the others backing her up. They were the first generation of users and had long since achieved true supernatural status. If she couldn't handle him, they'd drain him until he surrendered!
