The girl was clearly a regular here; she didn't stop once, leading him straight to the top floor of a building that looked like the main teaching block. This floor had only a few doors, but the area was huge, suggesting the rooms were massive.
As they walked, a few girls came out of a room. When they saw the smiling Hime-cut girl, they instantly stiffened. They had been laughing a second ago, but their faces went blank with tension.
This girl has some serious status, Alistair noted. On the way here, he saw it repeated: some girls worshipped her, while others looked terrified. Either way, she was at the absolute top of the food chain.
Is she Nina's right hand?
Nina was one of the two leaders, so she must have subordinates. But if they were the "moderate" faction, why would people be terrified?
Alistair narrowed his eyes. Something was wrong. This girl probably wasn't with Nina. She was with Seira Kannonzaka. Only the "core" members of the President's faction would elicit such polarizing reactions.
Since they were already at the door, Alistair didn't mind seeing what her game was. If she was Nina's, great. If not, he'd play along and see how deep the water was.
The two girls leaving the room bowed and were about to greet the Hime-cut girl, but she silenced them with a raised hand. They looked at her in surprise, then saw Alistair. Their expressions shifted to pity, and they hurried away with their heads down.
"Alright, let's go in. Finish this quickly, and you can leave early."
The Hime-cut girl smiled at him. The smile was blatantly fake now. She didn't care about fooling him anymore; she had him where she wanted him.
Alistair didn't say anything. The situation was clear: she was a high-ranking member of the President's faction.
Stepping inside, he saw the Student Council room. It was nothing like his old school. The massive space was divided into several small rooms and a main lobby, looking like a corporate office but more spacious and less crowded. At the far end was a double door—undoubtedly the President's office.
The atmosphere was "normal" for those inside until they saw the Hime-cut girl. The room went silent. Some girls looked like they were choking on a centipede, their faces turning pale.
A tyrant, Alistair thought. Some hated her; others respected her. She wasn't stupid, either—the way she'd used the information gap to trick him proved that. The pale-faced ones were likely her "enemies"—meaning Nina's supporters.
The Hime-cut girl's heels clicked sharply on the floor. Ignoring everyone, she marched straight to the double doors.
Straight to the boss?
Alistair followed. Even if it was Seira Kannonzaka, what of it? She just wanted to "bully" him. He wanted to see how she planned to do it. It's not like she could eat him... right?
Creak~
The doors opened, and Alistair scanned the room.
The office was huge. One side had long sofas and armchairs around a small table, with bookshelves nearby. Against the far wall was an executive desk and a chair, with a laptop open on it.
A girl was sitting there, typing. She tilted her head toward them when she heard the door.
Is this Seira Kannonzaka?
Alistair studied her. She had short, pale silver hair cut to her ears, though some strands in the back were longer. She had side-swept bangs, unlike the Hime-cut girl. Her facial features were more defined, with a distinct Eurasian (mixed-race) look.
Wait... this isn't Seira. Seira was pure Japanese. This girl was clearly mixed. Who was she? Why was she in the President's chair?
"You're back. Hmm? Is this a new 'toy'? What an exquisite 'toy'~ If we gave him to those insatiable girls, they'd pay a price he couldn't refuse and play with him until he's a dried husk~"
The silver-haired girl evaluated Alistair without a shred of politeness.
"'Toy'? Pretty much. But this 'toy' is far more valuable. Those girls couldn't afford him. Not many people could handle this one."
The Hime-cut girl spoke dismissively, treating Alistair like he wasn't even there.
"Really? Then I'll have to try him. I'm bored of the cheap 'toys.' Perfect timing for a new one~"
The silver-haired girl stood up, ignoring Alistair and grinning at the Hime-cut girl.
"Take it slow. We have plenty of time."
The Hime-cut girl produced a red ribbon from somewhere, tied back a section of her hair into a bow, and spoke leisurely.
The silver-haired girl brushed back her long hair, walked around the desk, and approached.
