Going back to the time before that, Sina had become increasingly certain that the earring pendant definitely belonged to Sara. She was willing to sacrifice a bit of her pride by approaching the group that had previously been in conflict with her. During the second recess, while tuna had gone to call Sara to join their other friends, Sina walked over to the girls' table with a smile. Her acting wasn't perfect, but it was believable enough. The girls were clearly displeased, yet they didn't reject her because they were curious to see what Sina was up to. Sina placed an earring pendant on the table, leaving them puzzled.
"What is this? What are you trying to do?" "It's an earring pendant. I suddenly want to buy an earring as a birthday gift for Sara. Can you guys help me?" "What?" They burst out laughing in disbelief. "Mmm… I'm sorry for making you all unhappy before. Can we just be normal classmates again? Thinking about it, as the Class President, I shouldn't have acted that way."
The girls were skeptical, but it didn't mean they had to openly reject her. It felt like a sign of rain that she was suddenly apologizing. "I really know I was wrong! Please forgive me. Since I don't have parents, I often have bad moods, which leads to poor relationships."
The girls opened up a bit and asked, "But why the sudden urge to buy earrings for Sara's birthday?" "Oh! When we had that issue with the points last time, I felt angry at Hana even though it wasn't her fault. Senior kan advised me that I shouldn't be angry with Sara, which made me rethink my mistakes. I want to make it up to her with something small. Since Sara is so beautiful, I thought some jewelry would make her even more stunning. Do you think Sara would like this pendant?"
Immediately, one student exclaimed, "That's probably too ordinary. Why would Sara like that?" Another added, "How do you know it's plain? You should see the kind of pendants Sara usually wears to know her style!" "Right! Do you guys know what kind of pendants Sara uses? What do they look like?" "We don't know exactly, because when Sara found it, we only caught a glimpse of it." "Huh? What do you mean?" Sina asked. "Then it's a bit difficult; I don't know what type to buy. Sara found it?" "Yes, she found it a long time ago. At that time, we didn't pay much attention, but later, we wanted to see it again." "Where did she lose it? Let me help look for it!" "We told you she found it already! Sara said she found it at the sink."
After confirming that Sara had "found" the pendant a long time ago, Sina estimated that the timing matched perfectly with what kan had witnessed. She thanked them and decided she would buy this pendant anyway. The girls felt it was very strange that the Class President had changed so suddenly.
During the lunch break, Sina invited Sara and her group to a shop, using the excuse of wanting to discuss group work. She suggested it would be even better if Sara's friends came along to give their opinions. Sara knew very well this wasn't just a simple request, but she followed along anyway. They arrived at a shop that was quiet and well-ventilated. They worked on Physics exercises a subject Sina always struggled with compared to Sara. Sina asked Sara to explain things, as they were in the same group assigned by the Physics teacher. Sara explained the lessons to her friends and Sina as usual. She looked truly beautiful while explaining, to the point where Sina remarked, "You're just like Senior Hana. In the future, Sara might have juniors asking for help with lessons just like her!"
Sara's friends were annoyed, sensing Sina's underlying intention, but Sara signaled them to stop. Sina turned to look at tuna, who was doing her own exercises. She wondered why tuna, a Grade 10 student, was hanging out with Grade 11s and asked if she was worried her Grade 10 friends would be upset. Tuna smiled and said they didn't mind and were all friends.
Sina then took out the earring pendant, making Sara look at her with confusion. Sina apologized for having been jealous of Sara before, especially regarding the Physics scores. Since tomorrow was Sara's birthday, she wanted to ask what kind of pendant Sara preferred. She showed the physical pendant and used her phone to show images of other designs. It was abnormal behavior, and even Sara sensed it.
"What about Ree and those photos?" tang ask. Sina raised her hand and swore she never intended to post them. She apologized for the threats, explaining she was jealous of Sara's life having everything she never had. Now she knew she was wrong. Tang also mentioned that the earrings she had borrowed from Sara hadn't been returned yet; otherwise, she would have shown them to Sina. Sara chose one of the pendants, making Sina smile.
After discussing the group work for a while, Sara sensed Sina was thinking something strange. She made an excuse for her friends to go back to school first, saying she had something to discuss with Sina and wanted to buy the earrings. The friends were a bit curious, feeling as though they were being excluded from a secret topic.
On the way, Tang said, "That Sina is a real actress. She clearly wants to hurt Sara, but acts with good intentions even though she was the one threatening her before." Lin added that Sina probably wouldn't tell anyone about the threat either. Speaking of this, they were furious with Ree, who was the cause of Sara's problems, and blamed tuna for not helping Sara faster, which gave Ree the chance to step in.
"I'm sorry!" tuna said, bowing her head in guilt. "What's the use of an sorry?" Tang snapped, feeling very frustrated with tuna. "Let's stop arguing and just wait to see what trick that wretched Sina is playing in front of Sara."
They arrived back at school, and Lin parted ways with them to go to her class, 11D. Suddenly, Chay arrived, bringing a box of fruit for Lin to eat, and he sat watching her eat in the classroom. It seemed like a special day because many Grade 10 students were bringing gifts for people in that class. The person who was doing his exercises, was a bit surprised by the crowd. His classmates weren't surprised, as they were fans of one particular person. Many juniors were bringing gifts to Niv the same Niv who had been following kan. It turned out Niv was in the same class as Lin. Chay, being talkative, joked about whether those girls noticed the other boys sitting nearby watching them. Among the girls were some of Chay's classmates from Grade 10.
"Hello, Chay!" "Oh! Are you guys here for the same reason as the others?" Chay asked teasingly. One girl, who was holding a gift for Senior Niv, smiled shyly. She saw Another girl sitting in front of Chay realized that she was probably Chhay's girlfriend. "Oh! Is the Senior Chay's girlfriend? You're so beautiful!" Lin smiled while looking at the girl. To be clear, the girl pointed outside to where other girls were standing, saying she came with them to give gifts to Senior Niv. After speaking, she smiled, said goodbye, and walked to Niv's desk.
Seeing Lin's smile, Chay teased her, asking if she wanted to give a gift to an idol like those girls. At first, Lin gave him a displeased look, but then she thought of a way to test Chay. "I'm thinking about it too!..." she dragged her voice to tease him. "What should I buy?" Chay pouted as if he were about to cry and begged her not to do it. His childish pleading made Lin laugh. They didn't even notice their classmates watching their flirtatious behavior. One classmate joked that Lin and her boyfriend should go flirt in a quiet place, or else they'd give everyone "diabetes" from all the sweetness. This school-style teasing made the young couple smile, apologize, and head out of the classroom.
As for Niv, he politely declined the gifts, saying they didn't need to bring him anything. He smiled respectfully, but the girls insisted he accept them. "Even if you're the quietest in the group, you're also talented and handsome and especially since today is your birthday! So please, Senior, accept them!" "Yeah, Niv, you should accept them!" Niv's friends encouraged him. Hearing this, Niv didn't refuse further and thanked them politely, making the girls very happy.
After they left, Niv didn't know where to put all the gifts since there were so many. He gave some to his friends and stored the rest in the classroom cabinet. A moment later, Lin returned from outside smiling, likely because Chay had gone back to his class. Niv walked over to Lin's desk and asked her something that made her go quiet, wondering, How does he know? Why is he asking? Or does he know something more but is pretending not to?
"Hi, Lin! Do you know Senior kan? I saw photos posted on Facebook when she went to Siem Reap, right? I saw it on Sina's account, which mentioned Senior kan and had pictures of all of you!" "Huh? Oh…" Lin dragged her voice. "I don't know her that well! We just met by chance in Siem Reap. Is something wrong?" "Oh, nothing! Thanks for telling me." After saying this, Niv's friends called him outside.
After Niv left, Lin, who had been deep in thought, immediately took out her phone and messaged Sara. She told her that a classmate had seen the photos of them together in Siem Reap and came to ask about it. She didn't know his intention, and when she asked him why he wanted to know, he said "nothing." But his initial question was whether they knew Senior kan. Lin warned Sara that this probably involved Likan. "We can't ignore this; we don't know his true intention. You should ask that wretched Sina clearly if she really hasn't told anyone. Make sure, or it could cause problems for you, Sara!"
Sara and Sina both received messages at the same time. They read them without saying anything, then glanced at each other and asked for a moment alone. Sara was furious but thanked Lin for telling her. She asked who it was. Lin replied, "His name is Niv, he's my classmate in 11D, and a member of the volleyball team." Sara wondered what had happened to make him ask.
As for Sina, she was a bit surprised why vud had suddenly messaged her, even using Senior kan's name as an excuse. But after receiving the voice message, she realized it really was Senior Likan. She wondered why Senior Likan wanted to meet her so urgently. She hadn't replied yet because Sara had walked up to her with an angry face.
"Sina! Are you the type of person who says one thing and does another? You said you wouldn't tell anyone! Are you sure?" Sara asked angrily, fearing Sina had indeed told someone. "Hey! Are you begging me or threatening me right now?" Sina asked back, her eyes fixed on Sara's without blinking. "Watch your attitude, or I won't reconsider this matter. If I had told someone, it wouldn't be just one person, and you wouldn't be standing here so comfortably. Don't you know your own mother?"
At the mention of her mother, Sara grew heated, clenching her fists. If she could, she wanted to… but she tried to calm herself. Sina then approached her, took her clenched hand, and forced it open, praising how soft and slender Sara's hands were and how beautiful her nails looked. Sara bit her lip, trying to suppress her emotions, wondering if Sina truly hadn't told anyone. Right, if she had told, things wouldn't be this quiet. Sara changed her expression to a smile, apologized, and explained that a student in 11D named Niv, a volleyball player, had suddenly asked about the photo of kan. Sina interrupted her immediately. "If he's asking, it means he doesn't know! That's why he's asking," she said dismissively. "But I'm afraid he might have something else in mind and is just pretending not to know while asking about kan. Oh! By the way, are you and Senior kan involved with him?" "Sara, are you interrogating me now?" Sara smiled and apologized again.
It seemed Sina had Investigated Sara thoroughly, including the relationship between Sara and her mother, which infuriated Sara. But what puzzled her was the unexpected appearance of Niv what was his connection to Senior kan and Sina? Even Sina was curious about Niv too. She shook her head, indicating she knew nothing about him.
"But Sina, why did you decide not to tell everyone about that matter? Even though you hate me and know my weakness!" Sara asked, pretending to be very curious, her face looking pitiful as if she wanted to know and be thankful. Sina laughed at the question. "Right! Why indeed? Mmm… first, because you was asked. Second, that's not your only weakness. Third, because the time isn't right yet!" Sina said with a smile. Her answer made Sara smile and nod, though in her heart, she wished Sina would disappear from the earth.
"Right, is that all?" Sina asked. "Is this all the reason you made an excuse for your friends to leave so you could ask me?" Sara smiled and nodded, though her face looked puzzled. "Haha! Didn't you also enjoy creating this excuse?"
Both of them knew the truth in their hearts. Sara knew this wretched Sina was definitely trying to find something new to use as leverage against her. She would wait and see how long Sina would collect these secrets. If it became too much, Sara wouldn't hesitate to make Sina disappear! Sina was the one forcing her hand. Good heavens, Sara looks so innocent, yet how could she think like this? How valuable is her weakness that it cannot be touched? As for Sina, she also knew that Sara realized she was looking for more information to threaten her. Even if Sina found something, there was no clear evidence yet. Therefore, once she was more certain of something, she would try to find proof. She then thought of the exams; they were coming up soon. She would see how her Physics exam went this time. Two months ago, it was very strange. Even though it was the first few months of school, her Physics wasn't bad. Even if she didn't get a perfect score, she was sure there was an issue. She had other burdens to help boost her grades to be the top student almost every month from November to January. But in February, something was weird. Her Physics score started to drop. She didn't take any extra tutoring and didn't know those specific exercises, but she still tried to solve them all and didn't leave any blank. She admitted she didn't know those problems everyone who wasn't great at Physics felt the same. For her, she wasn't a genius but she wasn't bad either. But because her Physics score dropped more than before, even by just 5 points, she felt a bitter defeat because Sara wasn't bad either.
But for March, she couldn't accept the defeat at all! It was too much! While Sara's scores in other subjects dropped, her Physics score had only one mistake and was very high. Meanwhile, Sina's score dropped significantly, losing by as much as 30 points. On her Physics paper, she hadn't even finished some problems, only writing the questions. She only did two problems one correct and one half-finished. She didn't understand; she didn't even remember when the papers were collected. She kept thinking, Was I overthinking until I zoned out? But she wasn't satisfied. Was it my fault? It wasn't me; I know myself very well, but I can't argue with the result!
Sara had only won against Sina in February by one or two points and took the first place. Her mother didn't mind but didn't offer praise either, simply thinking to herself that Sara was probably competing against a strong opponent. However, in March, when Sara's score was much higher by 30 points, it made her wonder, though she figured that Sina girl had just slipped up.
Turning back to the present, after finishing the conversation, Sina sent a message to vud, telling kan to set a time to meet tonight because she had no free time now and it was time for the afternoon classes. Both Sara and Sina headed back to school; from the outside, it looked as if they had made up and were on good terms.
