Chapter 96 - Madara vs. the Allied Shinobi Forces! A Century-Old Grandpa Starts Breakdancing

[Hashirama Senju: "Madara, why are you so bad?!"]

[Madara Uchiha: "…"]

[Tobirama Senju: "I knew it would end like this. We should've cremated Uchiha Madara the moment we had the chance!!!"]

[Kaguya Ōtsutsuki: "hi."]

[Kinkaku: "Tobirama talks tough because his power doesn't."]

[Ginkaku: "Facts. Hey, Tobirama—if I call your name, you dare answer?"]

[Tobirama Senju: "…"]

Tobirama's face went dark at the sight of Kinkaku and Ginkaku.

Back then, ambushed by those Cloud thugs, he'd covered Konoha's retreat and duelled the brothers alone—only to lose hard.

An information gap can kill.

[Boruto Uzumaki: "Feels like Dad's era was stacked with monsters."]

[Adult Naruto Uzumaki: "You've had it too easy, brat. When I was your age, even school was a luxury…"]

[Adult Sasuke Uchiha: "…"]

The shinobi world was a chessboard.

Madara had been the one moving the pieces.

Before his death, he'd leashed his life to the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path,

dug out its secrets,

and manufactured tens of thousands of White Zetsu.

He even fashioned an "embodied will"—Black Zetsu.

Madara ordered Black Zetsu to find a suitable pawn to inherit his plan—

preferably an Uchiha.

Black Zetsu, ever obedient, had a candidate ready: Uchiha Obito.

Madara was pleased. His will, his wisdom—working exactly as intended.

Then he set the dominoes: break Obito's heart, drown him in "necessity," make him grateful to the hand that saved him—until he would march willingly in Madara's shadow.

Across the sky-screen, the new gen inhaled sharply.

This was a setup.

Madara wasn't just strong—he was terrifyingly smart.

He'd read the future of the shinobi world and preselected an elite successor,

then used a chain of events to blacken Obito.

Those "grandmas and grandpas" Obito rescued earlier? Very likely White Zetsu in disguise.

[Sarada Uchiha: "So this is our clan's ancestor…"]

[Boruto Uzumaki: "Obito-ojisan got played."]

[Obito Uchiha: "Hmph. Trash Madara—you're just another soul beneath my blade."]

[Madara Uchiha: "."]

[Kurotsuchi: "Say what you will—the 'Shura of the Shinobi World' had genius-level IQ."]

[Darui: "Thank goodness he didn't wear the Hokage hat."]

[Chōjūrō: "If he had, the entire world would be 'Konoha' by Tuesday."]

[Gaara: "Not wrong."]

[Naruto Uzumaki: "How can he be this awful—always scheming against Uncle Obito!"]

[Sasuke Uchiha: "Tch. Never mind that. I just want to know how Madara finally died."]

[Hashirama Senju: "Madara, that long-haired beautiful girl… surely not your final form, right?"]

[Madara Uchiha: "????"]

Madara nearly coughed blood.

Getting stronger was one thing—changing gender was another.

In what universe did that make sense?

Time sped up.

Obito advanced the plan with frightening efficiency—

but fate hiccuped.

He hadn't intended to resurrect Madara yet—

Kabuto jumped the gun.

On a wind-scraped desert, the Allied Shinobi Forces halted as one, faces tilted to the sky.

"What is it?" Gaara asked, thrown.

"Second Tsuchikage?"

"But hadn't you sealed him?" Naruto's lip trembled.

"Split himself at the last second?" Ōnoki frowned.

Tsuchikage Kitsuchi stiffened—silent, wary.

Then another figure stepped out of the clouds.

Ōnoki's heart lurched.

[Ōnoki: "Uchiha Madara… has been resurrected?!"]

[Kurotsuchi: "Grandpa… didn't you already know?"]

[Ōnoki: "…"]

[Deidara: "Old man's scared of the 'Shura' for real, hm!"]

The Alliance stared.

Why did this Madara carry the marks of Impure World Reincarnation?

If this was Uchiha Madara… then who was the masked man on the other front?

Wind raked the dunes.

Cloud-murk smothered the sun.

Pressure rolled off Madara in waves.

Some of the new gen watching screen-side nearly burst into tears.

[Boruto Uzumaki: "Switched into Dad's POV for a sec—and yeah, that's pure despair."]

[Shinki: "Agreed. His mental fortitude is… excessive."]

[Kitsuchi: "Didn't expect to see myself in this feed…"]

Madara glanced down at the ocean of headbands—mildly intrigued.

Ninja from different lands… fighting together?

Then he noticed Edo Tensei's pall over his body. His mouth thinned.

"To bring me back with this filthy technique… Who's the caster?"

Through the Second Tsuchikage, Kabuto answered, voice slick:

"I'm Kabuto—his collaborator…"

"Using Edo Tensei to talk to me? How dreary," Madara said flatly.

"I prepared a special version just for you. In other words, your power now surpasses your prime."

Silence. Then Madara slowly turned his head, killing intent like frost.

"You've seen my prime?"

"No," Kabuto pushed up his glasses. "Which is why—show me. The power of the legendary Uchiha Madara."

As they spoke, Gaara tried to snipe him.

Two blurs dropped from the sky—

Madara hit the sand like a falling star, shockwaves rippling outward.

He looked over the Alliance—eyes cold.

"Can he actually beat all of them…?" the Fourth Raikage murmured, frowning.

He hadn't become the Sage yet. Even as an Edo, could he really take on tens of thousands?

There were at least twenty, thirty thousand shinobi on that line.

"Oh yeah—so this is the legend, Uchiha Madara!" Killer B rapped badly.

Nagato snorted. "Without Sage mode? Where's the confidence to challenge an army?"

"Yeah, that's naïve!" Deidara added, smug.

"Kisame, what do you think?" someone asked.

"I'll sit and watch," Itachi replied, taking a small stool and a sip of tea.

[Mei Terumī: "In base form, can he really beat the Allied Forces?"]

[Fourth Raikage: "Obviously impossible."]

[Fourth Kazekage Rasa: "The harder he postures now, the harder he'll crash."]

[Osca: "Heh. I'm ready for the comedy. Any minute now, he'll be on his knees begging two hundred squads for mercy."]

Then the air went wrong.

Clouds shrouded the sky over Madara's head—

and moved with him.

With every step he took forward, the darkness unfurled another league.

He strolled.

The Allied line unconsciously held its breath.

Hands tightened on kunai.

Some began to pray.

Step by step, they backed away from one man.

Madara's walk quickened—into a run.

"He's coming—" Naruto hissed, sweat beading at his brow.

The feed froze on that frame: one man charging an army beneath a ceiling of storm.

To be continued.

Hook:

Sand lifted, then fell like rain as a single figure cut into the front line.

Steel flashed once—twice—ten times—and the wind forgot how to breathe.

Above, a ribcage of blue chakra began to grow… and grow… and grow.
