A new world.
Ten vanguard Honkai squads were the first to descend.
Forward Base.
Nanomaterial formed beside Kiana Kaslana. She looked around at the other Honkai squads.
"There's so little nanomaterial!"
"It's always like that at the start—it gets better later."
"Hope this world has some strong enemies."
"With your skill level, better be careful not to get stomped."
...
The crowd chatted idly, all treating this as if it were some kind of game.
Mushoku Kika and Aisha walked over to Kiana Kaslana's side.
Mushoku Kika turned to Aisha and asked, "What's our mission?"
"Can't you check it yourself?"
"I'm too lazy."
Aisha opened the mission panel and read aloud, "Destroy the decaying mortal empire and eliminate all who stand in the way."
"Sounds simple enough," Kiana said with a smile.
"Don't underestimate it. This world's military strength isn't low," Aisha reminded her.
"No problem. With me here, nothing's an issue," Kiana said confidently, patting her chest.
"With the little nanomaterial we have, your 'skills' won't shine much," Mushoku Kika said flatly.
"Enough talk—let's go take a look!"
Seeing that the other squads had already left, Aisha took both Kiana Kaslana and Mushoku Kika by the hands and led them to the door.
Once outside the base, they saw a dense forest stretching ahead, with tall mountains in the distance.
"So this is the so-called new world? The environment looks pretty nice," Mushoku Kika said.
"Which direction should we go?" Aisha asked.
"Doesn't matter—let's just walk straight," Kiana said indifferently.
The three chose a random direction.
Suddenly, movement came from the woods ahead.
"Something's coming."
Mushoku Kika spoke warily.
A pack of wolf-like creatures burst from the trees, charging at a Honkai squad walking ahead of them.
However, the squads sent to this world were all elite teams.
Their captain sidestepped a wolf's pounce, grabbed its tail, and slammed it into the ground with a loud thud, leaving it motionless.
Another member pinned a wolf's head and beat it mercilessly with her fists. One girl was bitten on the leg but didn't panic—she grabbed the wolf's jaws and tore them apart with brute strength.
Within moments, the entire pack was annihilated.
"So brutal…" Kiana Kaslana muttered as she watched.
The squad ahead soon noticed Aisha's trio observing them from behind.
Their captain threw Kiana Kaslana a flirtatious wink.
"Your girlfriend?" Mushoku Kika asked, glancing at Kiana.
"Just someone I know. I fought them once," Kiana said casually.
"Oh."
Mushoku Kika showed no interest in Kiana Kaslana's social circles. While many at the Academy adored strong and beautiful girls, she didn't have such feelings for Kiana.
After a brief greeting, both squads went their separate ways.
Along the road, several native creatures attacked, but Aisha handled them effortlessly.
Following the dirt path used by the locals, they eventually arrived at a city.
The guards at the gate eyed the three with lewd expressions, noting their strange, foreign attire.
"Where are you from?" one asked.
"We're from very far away," Aisha replied calmly.
"Oh? Then what brings you here?" the soldier asked, grinning obscenely.
"Just passing through," Aisha said, not wanting to waste time on them.
"Passing through? That won't do—you need to pay a toll," the soldier said, blocking their path.
"How much?" Mushoku Kika asked coldly.
"Heh, since the three of you are so pretty, you don't need to pay—just spend some time with us instead," the soldiers said, smirking wickedly.
"You guys want to play? Then I'll play along," Kiana Kaslana said coldly.
"Heh heh!"
The soldiers smirked, their minds filled with filthy fantasies of what would happen next.
Kiana moved instantly, snatching a sword from a soldier's belt. Before they could react, their heads were already separated from their bodies.
"Is she always like this?" Mushoku Kika asked in disbelief, glancing at Aisha.
"Yeah," Aisha nodded. She was long used to it.
"Prepare for battle."
She stepped over a still-standing headless corpse and drew another sword from its belt.
"You dare kill people on my land?!" A furious shout came from the distance. A general on horseback led a squad of soldiers charging toward them.
"I dare. Come stop me," Kiana Kaslana said calmly, standing her ground as the horse and rider thundered toward her.
Idiot.
Even if the warhorse didn't crush her under its hooves, his lance would surely pierce her through.
However—
As the horse charged, Kiana didn't dodge or move.
With a swift horizontal swing, she sliced through the horse's two front legs.
The general gasped in shock and thrust his spear.
But before the tip could reach her, both he and his mount were sent flying with a single kick.
The rest of the soldiers swarmed forward, surrounding the three.
"I'm not good at close combat," Mushoku Kika said, catching the sword Aisha tossed her.
"It's fine. Against this kind of trash, brute force works just as well."
Aisha moved like a whirlwind, cutting down the soldiers as easily as slicing vegetables.
Even without enough nanomaterial to create high-tech weapons, their monstrous physical stats alone were enough to crush ordinary humans.
When power reached a certain level, technique became irrelevant.
Mushoku Kika swung her sword hard at one soldier. He tried to block, but the impact sent him flying several meters back, knocking down a few others.
Swordsmanship? Just flashy nonsense.
If you couldn't break through, blocking only got you smashed and crippled.
"I get it now," she murmured.
Before long, the city gate was drenched in blood. The three were surrounded, but none of them seemed remotely nervous.
After an intense battle, Kiana Kaslana looked over the piles of corpses without a trace of emotion.
Turning to Mushoku Kika and Aisha, she asked, "How about we take this city?"
"Doesn't matter to me," Mushoku Kika shrugged. She wasn't interested in territory.
"Let's do it," Aisha said, submitting the city as their claimed zone. This allowed them to register their territory and earn points to exchange for more nanomaterial—strengthening themselves.
After submitting, they were required to stay for seven days, clearing out any remaining rebels and enemy forces trying to retake the city.
"The weapons here aren't bad," Aisha remarked, examining the heavily chipped sword in her hand. Ordinary blades couldn't handle her strength—they usually snapped. But these only bent and nicked.
"Mushoku Kika, look at this," she said suddenly.
In the chat channel, Mushoku Kika had found a live broadcast link. She opened it to see a five-member Honkai squad being surrounded while trying to occupy another city.
Among the natives was a man in a pointed hat, holding a staff and chanting spells—casting fireballs, lightning strikes, and other magic.
Although the attacks did little actual damage to the squad, it was clear this world possessed powerful magic.
Fireballs, lightning bolts, electric spheres, acid arrows, and shockwaves—these were only second- or third-tier spells here.
For reference, nuclear explosions were considered ninth-tier magic.
"So it's like a spiritual-type attack method?"
"Yeah, the magic of this world."
"Looks flashy, but doesn't seem that powerful," Aisha said, watching the video. Even as spells rained down on the Honkai squad, the girls inside were still moving around unscathed.
"Why are they being surrounded by so many people, though?"
"Probably the capital of the Baharuth Empire."
Kiana Kaslana spoke calmly. She had already gathered intelligence about this world, so she knew exactly which location that Honkai squad had attacked.
Taking down an ordinary city here was easy—even for a squad with no real equipment.
The humans of this world were different from those of normal worlds. There existed a hidden level system.
By adventurer ranking: Levels 1–3 were Bronze, 4–6 were Iron, 7–9 were Silver, and 10–14 were Gold.
A level 10 individual had roughly the strength of a bear. In theory, level 100 would be considered extremely powerful.
However, the peak human power level in this world was only around 30 to 40.
The Honkai squads' nanomaterial bodies, even in base form, possessed physical and defensive stats equivalent to level 60 or higher. They were immune to mental interference and life-based curse attacks.
If they had enough nanomaterial to construct weapons and channel Honkai energy for enhancement, their power would be on an entirely different scale.
Mushoku Kika sighed. "They're really hitting the capital right after arrival? Aren't they afraid of wiping out?"
"Maybe they have a plan," Aisha replied. "Still, the magic in this world is worth paying attention to."
Just then, a carriage rolled to a stop before them.
"I am Klee, the Guildmaster of this city's Adventurer Association. May I ask, are you three ladies from the kingdom?"
A middle-aged man in a dark green robe stepped down from the carriage, placing a hand over his chest as he bowed politely.
The annual war between the Re-Estize Kingdom and the Baharuth Empire usually took place on the Katz Plains.
Why, then, had three hero-level beings suddenly appeared here—attacking his city?
"Nope!"
Kiana Kaslana smiled faintly. She glanced around at the nearby residents—peeking from behind closed shutters, watching them in fear.
"Then what's your purpose for doing this?" Klee asked, puzzled.
Three hero-class beings attacking an imperial city for no reason—other than angering the Empire and courting death—what could they possibly gain?
"Our purpose? Hmm…" Kiana tilted her head.
"Obviously, to make the world a better place!" she said cheerfully. "We came here, found this city, and now it's ours. Don't worry—normally, we don't kill indiscriminately."
Klee stood frozen, dumbfounded. Were these women serious?
"If anyone causes trouble, though, we won't hesitate," Kiana said, swinging her sword lightly. A chilling glint flashed in her eyes.
Klee swallowed hard. He had no intention of provoking these three demons. "On behalf of the city's residents, I welcome your arrival. Is there anything I can do to assist you?"
"We need this city to maintain order. Your Adventurers Guild accepts commission requests, right?"
"Of course," Klee replied quickly.
"Good. Then I'm officially commissioning your guild to maintain order in this city. Don't worry, you'll be well paid," Kiana said with a bright smile.
"No problem—it's in good hands," Klee answered eagerly, though inside he was dying of curiosity about what they truly intended.
A few days later, shocking news spread across the entire continent:
Forty-eight mysterious hero-level beings had appeared out of nowhere, seizing ten cities across the Re-Estize Kingdom and Baharuth Empire.
Such a sudden rise of powerful entities made the continent's royal families and top warriors think of legends from hundreds of years ago—the Six Great Gods and the Eight Greed Kings.
Now, forty-eight of them had shown up all at once. The pressure was overwhelming.
Until their true origins were known, none of this world's strongest dared act.
Especially the dragons. Hundreds of years ago, the dragon race had many ancient dragon kings—but the arrival of the Eight Greed Kings had nearly wiped them all out.
For someone to appear now and immediately attack imperial capitals and cities—it was impossible to predict what they might do next.
Kiana Kaslana gathered intelligence through all her deployed squads. With no network system in this world, all information had to be collected manually.
Using the celestial quantum computer, she unified and analyzed the data.
This world was nothing like the Highschool of the Dead world.
To rule here, she would need to focus resources on cultivating high-tier combat power.
At the same time, she began decrypting and reverse-engineering this world's magic system—creating her own version of magic.
First- and second-tier spells were simple to crack. Third-tier required time. Fourth-tier took longer still.
But none of that posed a real obstacle.
On the seventh day—
A stealth transport plane carrying nanomaterial supplies and Honkai energy departed from the forward base, heading toward the cities occupied by the Honkai squads.
A five-meter-tall silver-white metallic cube slid out of the open cargo bay, dropping straight down. Just before impact, it bounced upward slightly and landed squarely in the city plaza.
Aisha, already waiting, reached out and touched the cube.
It split into three equal portions of nanomaterial, each merging into one of the trio.
"Finally, materials for proper weapons."
Each absorbed their share of nanomaterial. Mushoku Kika constructed a beam sniper rifle.
In this magical world, the basic physical laws differed slightly—black powder couldn't ignite, rendering most firearms unusable.
