Chapter 319: Eternal Happiness (Grand Finale)

Empire Year 200.

The morning star leaped over the horizon, its light piercing the deep space to illuminate the massive chakra Dyson ring orbiting the planet.

Two centuries of relentless advancement in chakra technology had completely reshaped this once-isolated world into a terrifying, unapproachable miracle of steel. Anti-gravity transit networks wove together, stitching floating islands and inverted waterfalls to crystalline mega-towers that pierced straight into the exosphere. Interstellar warships trailed ethereal blue exhaust, darting through the slipspace nodes just beyond the atmosphere like a school of silver fish.

This was the Holy City. The absolute, beating heart of the Empire of Dawn that ruled the boundless Milky Way.

Light-years away, at the edge of the Centaurus spiral arm.

Within a dense asteroid belt, tens of thousands of alien warships drifted as burning husks.

Kameda, draped in the dark gold robes of the Archbishop, stood suspended in the void. He slammed his staff down, and a visible tsunami of golden faith energy exploded outward, completely engulfing the last remaining alien homeworld before him.

"Submit and live. Defy and perish."

His voice utilized the Chakra Network to detonate directly within the minds of tens of billions of alien natives.

Moments later, countless ethereal silhouettes rose from the planet's surface, falling to their knees. A torrent of pure faith energy crossed the sea of stars, surging back toward the Holy City.

Kameda tilted his rugged, mature face upward, his expression dripping with fanaticism.

The grand ambition he had sworn upon receiving Lady Konan's salvation was becoming reality step by step. He was going to plant the statues of the Angel God into every single corner of the universe.

....

The core of the Holy City. The top floor of the Star Dome Administrative Tower.

Sunlight filtered through the smart-glass, spilling across the purple sandalwood table.

Hinata sat at the head. Her tailored moon-white imperial robes perfectly traced her voluptuous curves, her purplish-black hair pinned into an ornate, divine updo. Two hundred years of holding the power of life and death over the galaxy had completely smelted away her past timidity, replacing it with a cold, untouchable nobility.

Her pure white eyes were half-closed. The Kekkai Mora pressure swirling around her was so dense it caused microscopic distortions in the air.

"The integration of the Third Quadrant of the Milky Way is complete. All native civilizations have been successfully connected to the chakra base stations." Mabui adjusted her gold-rimmed glasses, her dark skin shimmering like silk in the halo of light. Her voice was sharp and crisp, radiating the absolute composure of a supreme magistrate.

"Handing over the mopping-up operations," Samui said, pressing an electronic scroll onto the table. Her blonde hair was pinned high, her military uniform immaculate, the breathtaking curves of her chest rising and falling softly with her breaths. She was now the Commander-in-Chief of the Empire's Expeditionary Forces. Her iron-fisted tactics struck terror into the hearts of countless interstellar civilizations.

Around the hall, Shion deactivated her astrological arrays, Honoka shut down the genetic calculation database, and Ryuzetsu sheathed her blade.

Mei Terumi swirled her glass of red wine. Time had not stolen her youth; rather, it had matured her into a lethally seductive force of nature.

Kaguya Otsutsuki stood by the floor-to-ceiling windows, draped in snow-white robes, her silver hair cascading down her back like a waterfall. Her icy beauty remained entirely peerless.

Hanabi pushed open the doors and walked in. The former little girl had blossomed into a stunning young woman, her brows carrying the same gentle yet unyielding resolve as her sister Hinata.

The clock struck noon.

In perfect unison, the women stopped what they were doing.

Their gazes met silently in the air. Then, warm, radiant smiles blossomed simultaneously across their devastatingly beautiful faces.

"It's time," Hinata said, rising to adjust her collar.

No more words were needed. The women vanished, transforming into streaks of multicolored light that shot straight into the sky, vanishing into the Imperial Palace hidden within the spatial fault lines.

The Imperial Palace—an unknowable realm.

The grand hall had no roof and no pillars. Beneath their feet lay materialized nebulas, and above their heads, the true, rotating galaxy was perfectly reflected. This space was entirely divorced from time and causality; it was the physical manifestation of the universe's foundational rules.

On the left side of the hall stood a towering, floor-to-ceiling glass display shelf.

Upon the shelf rested thousands of exquisite, intricately carved wooden figures. Hashirama Senju, Madara Uchiha, Hiruzen Sarutobi, Jiraiya, Kakashi Hatake, Might Guy... even the former jonin and civilians of the Five Great Nations.

Two hundred years had passed. The lifespans of mortals had long since burned out. Generation after generation of Imperial citizens had been replaced. The enemies of the old era were all dead and buried.

Alex had completely drained the Pure Land, extracting the souls of everyone familiar and sealing them within these wooden figures. This was his personal collection, the final tombstone of the old era.

In the center of the hall, Alex stood with his hands behind his back.

Today, not a single trace of chakra leaked from his body. Combining a century of searching with his divine replication ability, he had gathered all the Black Fragments scattered across the universe into one. Time, space, soul, karma... he had chewed up and absorbed the foundational rules of the universe.

Standing here, he was the singularity of the cosmos.

The war of Empire Year 50 was absolute proof. From light-years away, with a single point of his finger, he had crushed the Otsutsuki Homeworld and its tens of billions of elites into a super fruit, refining the planet's core and their very souls.

That indescribable, almighty power no longer required a point of reference to be measured.

Konan leaned against Alex's shoulder.

Her blue-purple hair cascaded down like a midnight waterfall, a few strands brushing against his cheek. She wore a minimalist, plain white dress, her face forever frozen in the prime of her youth. Having devoured half the Otsutsuki Homeworld fruit and absorbing the faith of half the galaxy through the method Alex created, she was a bona fide God of the Stars.

But right now, she was just a docile cat, nestled in the center of her world.

Suspended in the air before them was a transparent, square box.

Inside the box, clouds churned, winds howled, and mountains shattered.

It was a "micro-world," fabricated out of thin air by Alex using his supreme mental energy and foundational rules. And playing out inside that Box of Destiny was the original, predestined trajectory of the Naruto timeline.

The waterfall ran dry. The stone statues collapsed. The Valley of the End.

Inside the box, the blonde-haired youth and the black-haired youth roared as they charged one another. Rasengan and Chidori collided violently in midair. Blinding white light swallowed the heavens.

Then, silence.

The two of them lay side by side in the rubble, each missing an arm. Their blood flowed, pooling together on the rocks. Staring up at the sky, they formed the seal of reconciliation with their remaining hands, miserable smiles on their lips.

The moment the seal was formed, the light of the Infinite Tsukuyomi receded. The towering God Tree withered and collapsed. The Shinobi Alliance awoke from their cocooned genjutsu, their cheers shaking the heavens.

At that exact moment, the image froze completely.

Like someone hitting pause on an old black-and-white movie. All the noise, the blood, the tears, and the brutal reality of their youth were sealed shut inside a transparent cage no wider than three feet.

"Is it finally ending?" Konan asked softly, her cold voice tinged with lingering fear and relief.

"Yeah. Sasuke and Naruto have reconciled," Alex replied evenly.

Konan stared at the box, gently tracing her fingers over the cold imagery. Over the last sixty years, she had watched the world inside this box play out step by step. She watched the Akatsuki be annihilated. She watched Nagato exhaust his life force and die after being talked down by Naruto. She watched herself, desperate to protect Nagato's Rinnegan, get brutally impaled by Obito Uchiha's black rods in the rain, sinking into the freezing sea like a torn sack of rags.

A bone-deep chill ran through her just thinking about it.

She lifted her head and wrapped her arms around Alex's waist, pressing her cheek against his warm chest. An intense, unbreakable love surged in her eyes.

"So that was the ending the shinobi world was supposed to have..." Konan murmured, tightening her grip. "If it weren't for you, I really would have died at Obito's hands. All of Nagato and Yahiko's blood, sweat, and tears would have become a sick joke."

Compared to the miserable fate trapped inside that box, how perfect was their reality?

Yahiko and Nagato had lived out their days in peace. The tragedy of the old era was snuffed out before it could even begin. The shinobi world wasn't devastated by war—it had leaped forward to become a super-empire spanning the sea of stars.

Not only had she survived, she had touched eternity.

Alex lowered his head, his fingers weaving through her soft blue-purple hair as he pulled her closer. "That was indeed the predestined ending."

He hadn't created this sandbox world merely out of nostalgia. Rebuilding time and simulating destiny was the perfect way to verify his current authority over the universe. The flow of chakra, birth, aging, sickness, death, and the tangled webs of karma within that box were entirely authored by his hand.

It proved he possessed the authority of "Creation."

At the entrance to the hall, the space rippled gently.

Hinata, Kaguya Otsutsuki, Ino, Samui, Ryuzetsu, Mabui, Hanabi, Honoka, and Mei Terumi. The nine peerlessly beautiful women stepped slowly into the Star Dome Hall.

The lighthearted mood vanished, replaced by the heavy majesty of those who commanded galaxies. But when their eyes fell upon the towering shelf of wooden figures on the left and the transparent Box of Destiny floating in the center, the air in the hall seemed to thicken into glue.

Hinata walked up to the shelf and stopped.

Beneath the moon-white imperial robes, she reached out a pristine finger, gently brushing against a figure carved with the name "Neji Hyuga," and then the one beside it, "Hiashi Hyuga."

"Two hundred years..." Hinata's voice was feather-light, carrying the ethereal sorrow of crossing centuries. "Father, Brother Neji, Kurenai-sensei... even though the Empire extended the lifespans of mortals, they still couldn't beat the hourglass of time."

She turned her head, looking at Naruto and Sasuke lying in the rubble in the box, the ruins of the simulated world reflecting in her pure white eyes.

"In this 'original' world, Konoha survived, but how many lives were thrown into the meat grinder to achieve it?" A trace of sorrow flashed through Hinata's eyes. "And in our reality, Konoha has been gone for a long time. Even the Land of Fire is just a historical footnote. We gained eternal peace, but we also became the last remnants of the old era."

"Remnants. What an awful word." Mei Terumi swayed gracefully as she approached, casually setting her wine glass on a jade table.

She looked at a fleeting image of the Hidden Mist Village inside the box. For a moment, the former Mizukage's eyes were filled with the heavy weight of time.

"In the past, all I thought about was how to drag the village out of the Blood Mist. How to make sure everyone was fed and warm. Now, the entire Milky Way is under our feet. But Ao, Chojuro... the men who used to drink with me... they're nothing but blocks of wood on Lord Alex's shelf now."

Mei laughed self-deprecatingly, the corners of her eyes turning red. "It turns out the sharpest thing in this world isn't a kunai. It's time."

Ino leaned against Mei, her blonde hair cascaded down. She looked at the image of Shikamaru and Choji weeping together inside the box, tears welling in her own eyes.

"It feels like we've just been having an infinitely long dream," Ino's voice trembled slightly. "And when we woke up, we realized it was just us left, abandoned in this endless starry sky."

Samui and Mabui stood shoulder to shoulder. As former elites of the Cloud, watching the Fourth Raikage lose an arm and countless Cloud ninja die in the box left them speechless.

"Compared to the tragic destiny inside that box, at least we still have each other," Samui said, taking a deep breath to push down the ache in her chest. "It's just... my heart still feels so empty."

Kaguya Otsutsuki, dressed entirely in white, walked barefoot up to the box. She lowered her head, watching the scene where Naruto and Sasuke used the Six Paths: Planetary Devastation to seal her away once again, turning her into a cold, desolate moon.

"What a pathetic, imprisoned fate."

She sneered. But when she lifted her eyes and looked at Alex standing in the center of the hall, her sneer melted into an unprecedented softness and profound relief. She hadn't been eternally locked away in the dark like her original fate dictated. She was standing right here. She had her own place, her own family, her own home.

"The old era is over. Along with all its tragedies." Kaguya walked behind Alex, wrapping her arms around his waist. She pressed her cheek against his broad back and spoke with quiet finality.

A deathly silence fell over the hall.

Two centuries of loneliness, the reluctance to let go of the past, and the melancholy of crossing the boundary between life and death crashed over the women like a tidal wave.

Alex looked at the women who had accompanied him through two centuries. He looked at the unyielding weight of time in their eyes, and finally spoke.

"Time takes mortals. It crushes stars. It turns all love, hate, and enmity into a speck of dust in the history books."

Alex's voice wasn't loud, but it resonated with the foundational rules of the universe, instantly soothing the trembling deep within their souls.

He raised his hand and lightly flicked his finger at the void.

Pop.

The suspended box shattered into countless glowing fragments, dispersing through the Star Dome Hall like an inverted snowstorm.

The original, cruel destiny of the Naruto world was completely, permanently erased by the God of Creation.

"I have already torn up the old script."

Alex turned around. His pitch-black eyes swept over Hinata, Mei Terumi, Kaguya, Ino... before finally returning to Konan's face in his arms.

"You are not remnants of the old era. The souls resting on that shelf—if the day comes when I desire it, I can reshape their flesh and blood with a single thought." Alex's lips curled into a smile that looked down upon all of eternity. "But before that happens, we still have a very long road to walk."

Konan lifted her head from his embrace.

The tears and melancholy in her eyes were entirely driven away by the warmth radiating from him. She looked at that profile—the exact same face she had seen two hundred years ago when they first met—and her cold, beautiful face finally bloomed into a smile as bright as the sky after a storm.

"You're right..." Konan parted her red lips, her breath sweet as orchids. She hooked her arms tightly around his neck. "Even if everything in the past is ruins, our time has just begun."

A mortal's century was a lifetime. To them, it was nothing more than a single morning and evening in the endless river of time.

"We will be together forever," Alex said, lowering his head. Their breaths intertwined. His tone was a decree, the absolute vow of a god. "Until the end of time."

"Alex."

"Konan."

They stared quietly at one another, each perfectly reflecting the other's unguarded face in their pupils. The distance vanished as their lips met. There were no earth-shattering phenomena. There was only the profound warmth of crossing a century, and the intoxicating bliss of sharing each other's lives.

Hinata stepped forward, the sorrow in her eyes melting into water-like gentleness. She leaned gently against Alex's left shoulder, closing her eyes to feel his eternal warmth.

Ino and Mei Terumi stood on either side of Konan, holding each other's hands as they leaned in close.

Kaguya leaned quietly against Alex's back, a faint but incredibly genuine smile on her lips.

Samui, Honoka, Mabui, Hanabi, Ryuzetsu.

The women stood in a staggered formation, like stars orbiting the moon, tightly surrounding and leaning against Konan and Alex.

Starlight spilled from the dome of the hall, coating their silhouettes in an immortal halo of dark gold.

A soft breeze swept through the room.

To their left stood the towering shelf of dolls, carrying the souls of old friends—the ultimate symbol that the old era was dead and gone.

Before them lay the boundless universe, an infinite sea of stars waiting to be conquered.

In this moment, light and shadow froze.

The heavy weight of time faded away.

Happiness became eternal.
