Chapter 316: A Hundred Years in a Flash

Empire Year 100.

Dawn sliced through the sea of clouds, pouring a myriad of golden rays over the Statue of the Six-Winged Angel God in the center of the Holy City.

The hundred-meter-tall white jade statue was no longer the sole miracle here.

Surrounding it, hundreds of skyscrapers forged from premium chakra-conductive metal and superconducting glass pierced the heavens. Anti-gravity chakra trains glided silently along transparent magnetic rails, trailing ethereal blue exhaust. On either side of the sprawling streets, holographic arrays wove dazzling three-dimensional images into the air, broadcasting imperial decrees and interstellar colonization recruitment ads.

After a century of relentless progress, chakra technology had undergone an explosive renaissance.

The shinobi world had been entirely terraformed. Every inch of this planet was now layered in steel, concrete, and network arrays. And the Holy City served as the most resplendent, surreal mechanical heart of not just the planet, but the entire Empire.

Within the central hub lay the Star Dome Hall.

Beyond the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, a holographic star map gently rotated.

Hinata sat upon a levitating purple sandalwood throne. She wore a tailored, moon-white gown, her deep purplish-black hair pinned into an elegant, complex updo. Her fingertips danced across a translucent chakra screen, swiftly approving infrastructure reports from various star sectors.

A hundred years had not left a single mark of age upon her face. Instead, time had completely washed away her youthful awkwardness. Her skin was like flawless mutton fat jade, her curves full and mature. With every subtle movement, she exuded the absolute, suffocating majesty of an empress who held the power of life and death over billions of souls.

"The Third Sector Pioneer Fleet reports that the planetary core stabilization arrays on Resource Planet T-4 have been fully installed. Requesting the next quota of one million civilian immigrants."

Mabui adjusted her gold-rimmed glasses, reading the brief with methodical precision. Dressed in a crisp black uniform, her dark skin possessed a lethal allure beneath the cool lighting.

"Approved," Hinata replied, her tone perfectly even. "Draw the personnel from the former territories of the Land of Wind and the Land of Earth. Inform the local magistrates that interstellar immigration subsidies are to be paid out at the Empire's highest standard. Any family willing to pioneer in the outer galaxies will be exempt from taxes for ten years, and their direct descendants will be guaranteed admission into a primary chakra academy."

On the left side of the hall, Ino reclined in a sensory chair. Her blonde hair was tied into a sharp, high ponytail, her eyes gently closed. Her vast mental energy surged through the Empire's deep-space network, crossing millions of light-years in an instant to connect with the monitoring nodes of every star sector.

"At the edge of the eastern galactic spiral arm, three native civilizations are attempting to resist the establishment of the Angel Shrine," Ino said, opening her eyes. A cold, breathtaking smirk curved her red lips. "I've locked onto their coordinates. Samui, they're all yours."

Samui stood before the massive star map, her tailored military uniform accentuating her astonishing figure. Her expression was icy. She tapped a single point on the map, issuing the order without even looking up. "Seventh Star Destroyer Fleet, jump immediately. Leave no survivors, only the mineral veins. The Empire has no need for mouths that waste rations."

Mei Terumi swirled the crimson liquid in her wine glass and let out a soft chuckle. "Still as ruthless as ever. However, regarding the newly annexed life planets—the natives come in all sorts of bizarre shapes. The census integration and language translation protocols are still moving a bit too slowly."

She glanced over her shoulder. "Honoka, when will the Gene Adaptation Serum from the Medical Department enter mass production?"

Honoka, who had been flipping through a thick stack of scrolls, looked up. Her crimson hair cascaded like a waterfall. "Beginning of next month. Once injected with the serum, the physiological structures of those alien natives will adapt, allowing them to connect to the Chakra Network. They'll make for an adequate labor force."

Out on the nearby terrace, Kaguya Otsutsuki stood barefoot on the jade floor, draped in a loose white robe. Her silver hair trailed all the way to her ankles, her pure white eyes quietly overlooking the bustling Holy City below.

The loneliness and heavy guard she had carried a thousand years ago had long since faded. Now, she radiated a languid grace, nourished by time and the shelter of absolute power.

Beside her, Shion and Ryuzetsu were cross-referencing top-secret lists concerning shrine sacrifices and Anbu surveillance.

These nine women formed the absolute core of the Empire. They possessed breathtaking beauty and drastically different temperaments. Backed by a century of imperial authority and the terrifying power of the Kekkai Mora, their every movement bled lethal temptation.

Yet, no matter how immense their authority, the softest depths of their hearts and their absolute submission belonged to only one person.

Just the fleeting thought of his name made Hinata's hand pause over her documents, a faint blush creeping up the tips of her ears. Mei Terumi licked her red lips, her eyes rippling with warmth.

Over the past hundred years, they had grown perfectly accustomed to this high-intensity governance.

Alex despised wasting his time on the tedious management of civilizations, so they willingly took up the scepter, keeping the entire galaxy in pristine order for him.

Besides, if the sky ever truly fell, he would always be there to hold it up.

....

Directly above the Holy City.

Space itself was violently folded here, concealing a boundless Imperial Palace within the dimensional rift.

Deep within the palace, there was no ostentatious gold or jade. There was only a colossal observation deck forged purely from stardust and the chains of universal law.

Alex sat cross-legged atop a nebula.

His body looked human, but if any powerhouse versed in the laws of the universe dared to look directly at him, they would be horrified to discover that he had no flesh and blood at all. Where a man should be, there was only the ultimate singularity, woven from the foundational rules of the cosmos—time, space, karma, and soul.

Over the past century, he had pushed his innate replication cheat to its absolute limit. As the Empire expanded, he had scoured the dead cores of ancient planets and recovered several more Black Fragments.

Today, Alex had entirely transcended the chakra system.

Lifespan, energy, and physical laws were as easily read as the lines on his palm. With a single glance, he could invert the flow of a galaxy. By plucking a single string of karma, the past and future of an entire civilization would instantly dissolve into ash.

His power was quite simply unfathomable.

Alex slowly opened his eyes, the birth and death of billions of stars reflecting in his pitch-black pupils. As his thoughts drifted, a sealed memory bubbled to the surface.

It was Empire Year 35.

The spatial barrier above the Holy City had ruptured without warning. The pitch-black portal of Yomotsu Hirasaka violently tore open. Momoshiki and Kinshiki Otsutsuki stepped through, bringing with them their supreme arrogance and endless greed for the Chakra Fruit.

"Inferior creatures, hand over the God Tree—" Momoshiki's arrogant voice had only made it halfway out of his throat.

Alex hadn't even stood up.

Sitting upon the throne of the Imperial Palace, separated by tens of thousands of meters of sky, he simply glanced at the exit of the portal.

Time stopped in that exact moment. The strings of karma were forcibly severed.

Before the arrogance on Momoshiki and Kinshiki's faces could even contort into terror, their bodies disintegrated on a molecular level. There was no explosion. No deafening roar. They weren't even granted the opportunity to resist.

The moment they stepped out of the Yomotsu Hirasaka, the two high-tier Otsutsuki warriors were erased from the causality of the universe like a pencil sketch wiped away by an eraser. They didn't even leave behind a soul.

Then came Empire Year 50.

Sensing that his mastery over universal laws had reached the multi-galactic level, Alex's mind shifted. He tore through countless starry skies, his true body descending directly upon the Otsutsuki Homeworld.

It was an impossibly massive, pale giant of a planet—utterly devoid of life, sustained purely by leeching the energy of other worlds.

Detecting the invasion, countless Otsutsuki clan members swarmed into the sky like a plague of locusts to intercept him.

Alex stood with his hands behind his back, just outside the planet's orbit. He raised a hand, extended a single finger, and pressed down upon the void.

"Space. Collapse."

With the fall of that finger, the gravitational constant of the entire Otsutsuki Homeworld instantly inverted. The colossal planet imploded with rabid intensity. Tens of billions of Otsutsuki clansmen were crushed, refined, and compressed alongside the planet itself before they could even utter a scream.

In a matter of minutes, a vast planet—along with the Otsutsuki clan that had ruled the cosmos for untold eras—was forcefully refined into a blinding, super Chakra Fruit no larger than a human head.

Alex collected the fruit and casually plucked three ancient, pulsating Black Fragments from the ruins of the collapsed planetary core.

"Alex."

A soft voice broke through his memories.

Konan walked over from behind, six wings formed purely from light and the power of faith slowly unfurling at her back. She stopped beside him and naturally leaned into his embrace.

Alex wrapped an arm around her slender waist, resting his chin on the top of her head.

He hadn't consumed the super fruit forged from the Otsutsuki Homeworld fifty years ago. The energy within his body had long since evolved into the foundational rules of the universe; chakra was a lower-tier energy to him now.

Konan alone had digested half of that fruit. The other half had been divided among Hinata, Kaguya, and the rest of the women.

Today, Konan's strength vastly eclipsed the traditional Kekkai Mora. With a casual wave of her hand, she could shatter stars and obliterate moons.

Yet, an agonizingly vast chasm still lay between her and Alex's indescribable realm.

She did not possess his replication ability, and her comprehension of the obscure foundational rules etched into the Black Fragments was painfully slow. To ensure Konan could keep pace with him, Alex had carved out an entirely new path, creating the method of "Ascension through Faith."

"The power of faith is incredibly pure today," Alex said, his fingers combing through her light blue-purple hair as he felt the endless stream of golden energy converging within her.

Konan closed her eyes, savoring the tranquility. "An Angel Shrine has been erected in every city and every village across the Empire's territories. The daily prayers of tens of billions of our subjects transform into the power of faith. It has indeed solidified my divine soul significantly. It's just..."

She opened her eyes, looking out into the boundless starry sky, a trace of worry bleeding into her tone. "The universe is simply too vast. Even though we've spent nearly a century bringing the entire Milky Way under our rule, establishing the Chakra Network and faith base stations everywhere... relative to the scale of the cosmos, the Empire's population is still far too small."

Ascension through Faith relied entirely on the volume of believers.

Though the Milky Way was vast, the number of habitable planets capable of nurturing civilization was ultimately limited. The Empire's current population sat at roughly one hundred billion. The faith they generated was not quite enough to push Konan over the threshold into the realm of a Supreme God.

"If the population is insufficient, we conquer. If believers are lacking, we educate."

Alex chuckled, tapping the void with his fingertip.

A massive interstellar holographic map materialized before them. On the map, the Milky Way was completely illuminated in the golden brilliance of the Empire.

But beyond the Milky Way, countless stable spatial wormholes—carved out by Alex's own hands—reached out like glowing tentacles toward the Andromeda Galaxy and the deeper cosmic abyss.

"Kameda should have reached the edge of the Pegasus Galaxy by now, right?" Alex murmured playfully, watching a wormhole channel pulse with crimson light.
