Chapter 69: Sasuke Uchiha, Found
"Sasuke~~" Karin called out in a saccharine voice.
Seeing Sasuke Uchiha ignore her, she leaped forward and latched onto his right arm, refusing to let go. She deliberately rubbed her small mounds against him, showing off her proud figure.
"Sasuke, your entire chest was pierced by the Eight-Tails Jinchūriki last time. Even though Jūgo and I treated you on the spot, the injury was too severe. To prevent any future problems, you should suck on me some more."
As she spoke, Karin quickly pulled down the collar of her shirt. The part she wanted Sasuke Uchiha to suck on was self-evident. She wasn't entirely trying to take advantage of him; she was genuinely worried there might be lingering issues. After all, Sasuke Uchiha's entire chest had been punctured. His ribs were broken, and his lungs and heart were completely damaged. He had almost been killed on the spot by Killer B. Thinking back to that perilous moment, Karin felt a wave of lingering fear. She couldn't lose Sasuke Uchiha. She absolutely couldn't!
Sasuke Uchiha completely ignored her, shoved her away, and continued walking forward on his own. He said coldly, "Remember, I was just careless at that moment. I failed to dodge, that's all." His eyes suddenly glowed red, and he pointed to his Sharingan: "In front of these eyes, no one is my opponent. That includes the Eight-Tails Jinchūriki, Killer B. No matter how fast he is, he can't escape my Mangekyō."
The thought of Killer B made Sasuke Uchiha's chest ache dully. His Mangekyō could indeed see Killer B's super-fast movements, but unfortunately, his body couldn't react in time. She pushed up the sleeve of her arm. "Quick, come suck on me! It's not right for a young man to be coughing all the time. People will misunderstand and think you can't... perform."
Sasuke Uchiha stopped in his tracks, considering it for a moment. In the end, he couldn't overcome Karin's persistence, as well as his own worry about a lingering injury. Sasuke Uchiha knocked on the tank, waking up Suigetsu Hōzuki, who was sleeping inside. The latter opened his eyes, swam to the glass, and bared his shark-like teeth. "Sasuke, what's up?"
"How's your recovery? We won't be staying here much longer."
During the previous battle with the Eight-Tails, Suigetsu Hōzuki had formed a giant water monster to stall the tailed-beast-transformed Eight-Tails, all to buy time for Sasuke Uchiha to be treated. In the end, he took a direct hit from a Tailed Beast Bomb, resulting in severe injuries. The group had hurried to the Land of Birds, using the equipment in Orochimaru's abandoned base to slowly help him recover.
"I'm almost recovered. In another two days, I'll be able to leave the tank and move freely." Suigetsu Hōzuki's eyes burned as he glared at Karin, gritting his teeth. "If that stinking woman had let me bite her a few more times, I would have recovered even faster."
Karin crossed her arms and snorted. "Don't even think about it! My body is exclusively for Sasuke. No one else gets to use it! If I hadn't seen you were about to die from stalling for time, I wouldn't have even let you have one bite."
Smack! Suigetsu Hōzuki pressed his face against the glass, glaring at Karin and cursing, "Four-eyes! She-gorilla!"
Karin didn't back down. "Idiot jellyfish-head!"
"Four-eyes!!"
"Idiot jellyfish-head!!"
Seeing that Suigetsu Hōzuki was fine, Sasuke Uchiha nodded with an expressionless face. "In two days, we leave the Land of Birds."
Karin stopped arguing and asked, "Sasuke, where are we going in two days? Are we going back to the Akatsuki base or looking for that masked man?"
"Idiot!" Suigetsu Hōzuki cursed. "Told you that you have no brain, she-gorilla, and you wouldn't believe it. The leader of the Akatsuki is gone. What's the point of going back to the f*cking Akatsuki." They had learned from Obito Uchiha about Pain's battle in Konoha.
Sasuke Uchiha frowned in thought. Karin ignored Suigetsu Hōzuki's trash talk, staring at Sasuke Uchiha with infatuation. "Sasuke, didn't you want to get revenge on Konoha? Now that Konoha has been destroyed by Pain, you should be happy."
"No!" Sasuke Uchiha suddenly clenched his fists. "That guy said only the buildings in Konoha were destroyed. The people who died were all revived by Nagato in the end. And..." His voice became extremely cold. "Konoha can only be destroyed by my own hands. I am the avenger! Danzō, the Hokage, Konoha... for the suffering you inflicted on the Uchiha and on Itachi, I will make you pay it back tenfold!"
Shhh! Sasuke Uchiha's Mangekyō instantly activated, glowing scarlet.
That... that cold chakra again. It's... it's so scary. Karin looked at Sasuke Uchiha with worry. This chakra was so cold it made her feel terrified, like he was a stranger.
Sasuke Uchiha deactivated his Mangekyō, and the cold feeling emanating from him instantly vanished. Karin gradually let out a sigh of relief.
Sasuke Uchiha said, "That guy said the Five Great Shinobi Villages are considering holding a Five Kage Summit. The location will likely be in the Land of Iron, which has always been neutral. Once Suigetsu's injuries are healed, we will leave the Land of Birds and head for the Land of Iron."
Now that Tsunade was in a coma, no matter which Hokage Konoha sent, they would be his target. It would be even better if it was Danzō.
"The Land of Iron..." Karin muttered. "That place is in the far north. It's covered in snow all year round and the weather is severe. We'll have to prepare some cold-weather gear in advance."

High above, Konan and Honoka were hidden in the clouds, looking down at Jūgo below. Honoka said excitedly, "Lady Konan, after checking several of an Orochimaru's empty bases, we finally found them." She was very much looking forward to meeting that kinsman, Karin Uzumaki.
Konan, expressionless, gave a faint "Mm" and immediately dove downward.
