Rael stared at the glowing wooden gate before him with a cold expression, tightening his grip on the two inscribed weapons he held. From the corner of his eye, he could see Iyvre also standing before the trembling gate, prepared to charge out.
Xaphxan and Yasmin stood on the tower outpost, while Ayobe stayed back at the center, kneeling before the array with her eyes closed.
"I'll take on the vermin, if you don't mind," Iyvre surprisingly remarked with a smile. It seemed she was trying to brighten the grim mood, making Rael chuckle before he turned his head toward the outpost where Xaphxan stood.
He gave a slow nod with a cold expression, a silent interaction that didn't go unnoticed by Yasmin's observant gaze, but she saw no reason to question it, especially not now as Rael raised his right leg and slammed it against the gate.
