Chapter 72 - A Perfect Ending??? (2)

"You!!" Daenerys shouted in anger as she stood up from her chair and slammed the table with both hands.

"You can make sure of it yourself if you want," Louis said calmly. "I will give you the chance to ride your huge dragon and try to look for your precious servant."

Daenerys glared at him angrily and quickly turned toward her dragon, but before she could leave, she heard Louis speak again behind her:

"I will wait for one hour in this place. If you do not return within that time, consider both your beautiful servant and Jon Snow's sisters no longer alive in this world."

Daenerys stopped for a brief moment, then continued walking.

"Just pray that I do not find her," she said coldly, "or I will make you food for Drogon."

Sensing his rider's emotions, Drogon lowered his head to face Louis directly, then roared loudly at him.

The sound of the dragon's roar echoed through the area.

Then Drogon stood up, flapped his wings twice, lifted Daenerys into the air, and flew toward the rear of the army at full speed.

Everyone who witnessed the scene wondered what had just happened.

One moment they were talking, and the next, the Dragon Queen's expression changed completely as she mounted her dragon and flew back in the same direction she had come from.

All eyes turned to Louis. His entire body was now covered in dragon saliva, yet the smile never left his face, not even for a second, making his appearance strange and unsettling.

After flying to the rear of the army, Daenerys discovered that the group she had assigned to guard the back lines had disappeared. Along with them, Missandei and several other servants close to her were also gone.

Rage ignited in her heart. She rose into the sky on her dragon and began searching the area, flying back and forth in an attempt to find the kidnappers.

But without her knowing, that group, along with Missandei and the other servants whose heads were covered, had entered Winterfell through a different gate, where they were secretly received by Ned Stark.

Day after day, Ned felt more and more like a loyal dog serving House Lannister. Yet he could not refuse or betray them, or his daughters would suffer the worst kinds of torture.

He began to feel the same emotions Balon Greyjoy once felt when his son was taken as a hostage and brought to Winterfell.

Minute by minute passed, and everyone... including Jon Snow and the Stark children... wondered what they should do.

But no one dared to make a single move, because King Joffrey was still sitting in the same place without moving for nearly an hour.

Finally, a shape appeared in the sky, slowly getting closer.

Drogon landed in the same spot as before, and Daenerys dismounted from his back.

This time, the arrogance and pride had completely vanished from her face.

She walked forward, sat on the chair opposite Louis, and finally spoke.

"What do you want?"

"Oh? Are you finally ready to negotiate?" Louis replied.

"If you think kidnapping Missandei will stop my desire to reclaim the throne, you are dreaming," Daenerys said angrily.

"I never said that," Louis replied. "Still, what do you think about ruling together?"

"Ruling together?"

"You know… a marriage alliance, and ruling King's Landing together."

"What kind of joke is this?" Daenerys mocked him.

Louis's expression did not change. He snapped his finger, and suddenly a scroll appeared, floating in the air between them.

Seeing the curiosity in Daenerys's eyes, Louis spoke:

"This is an ancient magical contract. As long as both sides agree to the terms and sign it with their blood, the contract will bind them. Anyone who tries to betray the other will have their soul completely destroyed."

After explaining, Louis moved the scroll slightly toward Daenerys.

"If you want to make sure it is real, try writing a few words on it, and you will know."

He placed a quill and a bottle of ink near her and waited for her decision.

Daenerys stared at the floating scroll in front of her, unable to stop thinking about what kind of trick Louis might be using.

She took the scroll and opened it. Finding nothing written on it, she tried to write a few words. But the moment she finished the first word, it disappeared. Then another… and another.

Every word she wrote vanished without a trace.

"Do you believe it now?" Louis asked.

"Even if this contract is real, do you really think I would agree to make a deal with you?"

"Then what do you want?" Louis said. "The man who killed your father is already dead, and the ones who took the throne are also dead. What revenge are you still seeking?"

Seeing that she did not respond, Louis decided to use his final card.

"If you refuse, then I can only think about making an agreement with the true heir to the throne."

"The true heir?" Daenerys laughed. "The Iron Throne belongs to House Targaryen. There is no such thing as a 'true heir' outside the Targaryens."

"And when did I say otherwise?" Louis smiled.

"What do you mean?" Daenerys's expression changed.

But instead of answering, Louis shouted loudly so that everyone could hear:

"Ned Stark!!"

Everyone, including Daenerys, was shocked when the king suddenly shouted the name of the Lord of the North.

Ned stepped forward two steps. Although he remained at some distance, his voice was clear to everyone.

"Is there something you need from me?"

"This woman claims in front of me that she is the true heir of House Targaryen. What do you think about that?"

Once again, everyone was shocked...

Daenerys, Ned, and all those present.

What did the king mean by this question?

Seeing Ned remain silent, Louis continued:

"Remember, if you lie in this situation, it will be considered treason against the Iron Throne, and you will be punished with the harshest penalty."

Tension spread through the crowd. Everyone, including Daenerys, turned their eyes toward Ned Stark.

Ned realized there was no room for deception. Even though he did not know how Louis had discovered the truth, he finally spoke:

"The true heir to the throne is not Daenerys. It is Aegon Targaryen, the son of Rhaegar Targaryen, Daenerys's older brother."

Daenerys sat on her chair, her face burning with anger and tension. She looked at Louis with a mixture of suspicion and confusion.

"What kind of joke is this? Both Rhaenys and Aegon were killed as children during the rebellion…" she said, her voice tight, as if she could not believe the words.

Her eyes narrowed at Louis. "What are you trying to do?" she asked angrily.

Louis did not answer. Instead, he calmly turned his gaze to Ned Stark. Ned felt the weight of the stares on him, but he remained silent. Then, in a steady voice, he spoke:

"You are right. Both Rhaenys and Aegon, the children of your brother Rhaegar and Elia Martell, were killed… But the one I am talking about is not Elia's child."

Daenerys froze in place, her heart beating fast, her body trembling uncontrollably.

"What do you mean?" she whispered, trying to control her shaky voice.

Ned looked at her calmly and spoke clearly for everyone to hear:

"Rhaegar Targaryen canceled his marriage to Elia Martell at that time and married another woman."

Gasps of shock rose in the room, and Daenerys' face showed extreme tension.

"No… how… this is impossible…" she muttered to herself, her eyes searching for some explanation.

Ned continued calmly, laying out the facts without fear:

"This marriage was documented, and it is completely legal. You can find a copy of the marriage contract in the Oldtown, at the far south of the kingdom."

Daenerys muttered in heavy breaths, "No… no… no… this can't be true… yes… yes… this is not true…"

She slowly raised her head toward Ned, trying to understand what was happening, and finally asked:

"And how do you know all this information?"

Ned smiled faintly and looked down for a moment before answering:

"Because the wife of your brother Rhaegar is my younger sister, Lyanna."

Everyone shivered in shock, and a heavy silence fell over the square. The words were only the beginning of the truth Daenerys was not prepared to hear…
