In a high wing inside the crystal palace, where magical nature mixed with quiet luxury, the High Queen of the Elves, Natalia Forest, was sitting on a seat made from the trunk of an ancient tree. Its petrified leaves were glowing with a faint green light.
In front of her, the System Platform was open in the air, showing the latest notifications and reports about the Tower. Names were moving, worlds were opening and closing, and alerts were appearing and disappearing.
Natalia's expression was calm, but her eyes followed every detail with deadly focus.
Suddenly...
The air in front of her rippled, as if a mirage had torn itself apart. A figure appeared, kneeling on one knee, head lowered, aura perfectly controlled.
Natalia slightly raised an eyebrow and spoke in an indifferent tone, as if talking about something trivial:
"Hmmm… White, what is it? Has there been any development from Black's side?"
White was an elf woman with bright green hair, tightly tied behind her head. She wore a pure white combat outfit that clung to her body, leaving only her cold eyes and glowing hair exposed.
She was not just a guard—together with Black, she was one of the two arms the Queen relied on for the most dangerous missions.
White answered in an emotionless voice, steady like ice:
"It is highly likely that Black has already been killed, Your Majesty."
The atmosphere froze for a moment.
"…What?"
Natalia said, this time unable to hide the surprise in her voice. "What did you say?"
"Contact with him was lost shortly after he infiltrated the Human Empire."
Natalia narrowed her eyes.
"Was it the Empire's forces? Did they discover his infiltration?"
White slowly shook her head.
"That was my first thought. That is why I went to visit the Seer, to try to obtain a prophecy about his fate."
She paused for a brief second… then continued with the same cold tone:
"And… the Seer has also been killed, Your Majesty."
This time, Natalia stood up suddenly from her seat.
"The Seer is dead?!"
She said sharply. "How is that possible? He is one of the top three seers in the world! The moment someone even thinks about killing him, he knows in advance and takes precautions! Even I… cannot do that so easily!"
White extended her hand and presented an advanced tablet device.
"This recording was obtained from the surveillance systems outside his home."
Natalia took the device and started the playback.
At first, everything looked normal…
Then suddenly, the Seer rushed out of his house, stumbling as he ran in panic. His terrified voice filled the recording:
"No! No! Please! I don't want to die! I don't want to die! No...no...!"
He fell to the ground, his face hitting the floor.
He slowly stood up… but the fear had completely vanished from his expression.
His eyes turned empty and cold, without any emotion.
He calmly turned around, walked back into his house with steady steps, and closed the door.
He was never seen again.
White said,
"And these are images taken from inside the house."
Several images appeared…
The Seer's body lay there, lifeless.
Then something else caught Natalia's attention.
A message written in blood on the wall:
This is my final warning to you, Natalia.
Consider the person named Black and this Seer as sacrifices from you to atone for your sin.
If you continue to investigate me… prepare for the consequences.
Regards,
L.K.
Natalia clenched the device tightly, until cracks formed along its edges.
Back to Louis.
After the complete success of Kyle's experiment in the Limitless world, Louis did not waste any time.
He immediately issued orders:
Every knight who had not previously received a rating in that world must apply the plan at least once and collect as many NZT pills as possible.
The goal was not consumption…
but study, analysis, and then developing an improved antidote that would allow free usage in the future.
At the same time, he issued a general order to the island's residents:
Enter safe worlds, ignore any main missions, and focus only on skill development, each according to their ability.
Louis looked at the maps and plans spread out in front of him—the safe-world layouts he had carefully prepared—then decided:
"I will wait until the next main phase ends… only then will everything be distributed."
After spending some enjoyable time with his women, Louis returned to the space of the Multiversal Tower.
And there...
A video call notification appeared.
Only one name was on his friend list.
Ice Flower.
Louis smiled slowly.
From Black's memories, he already knew the truth:
Ice Flower was nothing more than a temporary identity used by the High Queen of the Elves.
And he also knew the reason for the call.
She must have read the message…
the message he forced the Seer to write with his own blood, using the Death Note, right before his death.
Louis ended the call without answering.
Then he moved.
He headed toward the central zone, passed through the same usual procedures, the same inspection, the same transition.
When he reached the selection list, he placed his hand on it.
Worlds flickered in front of him…
And finally...
[ World Stage Selected: Game of Thrones ]
[ Note: This world's mission is a solo mission. No other players will accompany you. ]
[ Good luck. ]
Louis smiled faintly.
"Heh, and they say the selection is random."
"There is no doubt that the solo-mission selection doesn't apply to me alone, but also to those who shared the Solo Leveling world with me."
"It seems the system has developed a kind of caution toward us."
"Well, whatever…"
"This world's mission is originally based on luck, isn't it?"
"But that doesn't apply to me, of course."
A smile spread across his face as he entered the waiting room.
