Chapter 64 - The Spy

Silence filled the wide training field, a heavy silence, as if the island itself was holding its breath.

Boros stood in the center of the field. His large, muscular body was filled with destructive energy. His dark purple skin glowed faintly, and his single eye was fully focused on his opponent. For the first time since being summoned to this world, he felt real excitement a fight that might finally end his boredom.

On the opposite side, Beru stepped forward.

The ground beneath his feet cracked slightly, and a dark aura burst from his body like the breath of an ancient predator. His transparent wings trembled, and sunlight reflected off his shiny black exoskeleton, making him look like a being born only for war.

One of the citizens whispered,

"What… what is that monster?"

But neither Boros nor Beru heard anyone.

Boros smiled widely.

"Hahaha… excellent. This feeling… I haven't felt this in a very long time."

Beru replied in a deep voice that echoed across the field like metal striking metal:

"I will defeat you… for my King."

The next moment...

They disappeared.

A massive air explosion shook the field, and the spot where they had stood turned into a deep crater. The spectators only saw a black flash and a purple flash collide in the center.

BAAANG!

Boros's fist collided with Beru's claw, and the air exploded like an invisible bomb. Both stepped back half a step, then charged again at the same time.

Boros relied on raw power and insane speed. His punches were like meteors, each one capable of destroying a mountain.

Beru, on the other hand, was pure combat instinct sharp movements, deadly angles, and claws aimed precisely at joints and vital points with terrifying accuracy.

KRR—SH!

Beru's claw scratched Boros's chest, leaving a burned black mark.

Boros laughed loudly.

"Good! Very good!"

He answered with a direct knee strike that sent Beru flying dozens of meters backward, smashing the ground along the way. But before the dust could settle...

The ground exploded from below.

Beru appeared behind Boros, his wings screaming through the air, claws aimed at Boros's neck.

DOOOM!

Boros twisted his body at the last moment and took the hit on his shoulder instead of his neck. Red and black energy fragments scattered in all directions.

This time, both stepped back… slowly.

Boros focused on Beru, his eye shining with madness.

"Finally… after that bald man, here is an opponent who doesn't break instantly."

Beru straightened up, dark steam rising from his body. His voice was low but firm:

"You are strong… but you are not my King."

At that moment, both of them suddenly froze.

The auras around them stopped rising. Without waiting for anyone to react, both launched themselves toward a point in the sky at maximum speed.

"Huh? What are those two monsters doing?"

Everyone wondered, including Louis.

A few minutes earlier

"Is this the place?" one figure asked while flying above the island where Louis and his followers were.

"According to the Seer's words, I should find that person here. But who would have thought he'd be in the Stormy Sea?"

This was Black, one of the followers of the High Elf Queen, Natalia Forest. She had ordered him earlier to contact their Seer and locate the person who wrote the strategy for clearing the Death Note stage.

After receiving accurate information, Black immediately headed toward the given coordinates.

It was not simple. He had to secretly pass through the human empire and then reach the Stormy Sea without being captured.

At first, Black did not consider this person "L.K" to be very important. He planned to send one of his subordinates to confirm the person's identity. After all, it was only a strategy for a safe world stage.

But when that name appeared several times in the Tower's global announcements, it caught his attention. He decided to handle the mission himself.

From high in the sky, hidden behind the clouds, Black used a vision-enhancing skill and looked down at the island.

At first, it seemed strange. Many people were gathered around a wide field, like stands around an arena.

In the center stood a young man who appeared to be giving a speech.

Black focused on his features.

"White hair and red eyes… if I'm not mistaken, that is a trait of the MacLaine family. But I need to confirm it."

He continued watching.

Then he saw Louis summon Igris and Beru. Black's eyes narrowed, especially when he recognized Beru—a monster capable of slaughtering S-rank hunters in the Solo Leveling world like sheep.

Then he saw another monster he also recognized—Boros, the first major antagonist of the One Punch Man world.

"Damn it… to have such forces under him. Even if he is still at the beginning, he will definitely become a dangerous enemy in the future."

Black considered leaving immediately and reporting what he had discovered.

But he hesitated when he saw Boros and Beru about to fight.

That hesitation was his mistake.

A small part of his fighting aura leaked out.

At that exact moment, both Boros and Beru detected him and rushed toward the sky, racing to see who would catch him first.

Back to Louis—

He did not understand why the fight suddenly stopped, but he knew it was not something simple.

A few seconds later, explosions and clashes were heard behind the clouds. The sky lit up with combat skills used by all three sides.

It did not take long.

Less than three minutes later, Boros and Beru returned, holding the body of a man.

They seemed to be arguing over who deserved the credit—or at least that's how it looked to everyone else.

In the end, they placed the body, which seemed not fully dead yet, in front of Louis.

Beru bowed deeply.

"My King."

He looked as if he was waiting for praise, even though he had almost torn the enemy apart before Louis could identify him—if Boros had not thought of that first.

Louis smiled at this display of loyalty, which clearly left a deep impression on everyone present.

"Well done, both of you. Without you, I wouldn't have known there was a spy watching us. You will receive a proper reward later."

"But unfortunately, your duel must end here."

Boros looked at Beru, then laughed with disappointment mixed with respect.

"Hah… looks like the fun ends here."

Beru stepped back once, never taking his eyes off his opponent.

m

Deep down, everyone understood—

What they had witnessed was not just a friendly match.

It was an unspoken declaration of the kind of power that ruled this island now.

Louis looked at the destroyed field, then at the shocked faces of the citizens, and finally at the half-dead man lying on the ground.

"And now," he said calmly,

"who the hell is this person?"

Louis thought for a moment, then...

When the audience was dismissed from the arena, he called out:

"Tatsumaki, Psykos, can either of you manipulate this man's mind and reveal his memories?"

"Hmph. My psychic power is focused on destruction, not on things like that," Tatsumaki replied in her usual arrogant tone.

"Heh, sounds like someone might need some special extra training later," Louis said with a suggestive tone.

At once, several girls sitting near Tatsumaki blushed deeply and lowered their heads, clearly remembering the kind of "special training" Louis had given them before.

"W-What… you—!" Tatsumaki tried to respond, her face turning red in embarrassment, but Louis had already turned away.

"What about you, Psykos?"

"I wouldn't mind getting some extra training," Psykos said while licking her lips seductively, making the other girls look at her with strange expressions.

Louis sighed.

"I mean, can you read this person's memories?"

"Yes, yes, I can," Psykos replied eagerly, then flew toward Black's half-dead body.

She placed her hand on his forehead and closed her eyes.

After a few moments of silence, Black's body began to convulse violently—then suddenly stopped moving.

Blood started to flow from his nose, eyes, and ears, and his breathing stopped completely.

Louis stared at the scene, unable to speak for a moment.

Psykos finally stood up, brushed her clothes elegantly, and looked at Louis with a submissive tone.

"It's done. Do you want me to explain everything directly, or should I just transfer the memories into your mind?"

Louis was surprised.

"You can do that too?"

"Of course. I can do other things as well," she said suggestively, making Louis roll his eyes.

"Transfer the memories to me first. We'll talk about the other things later."

"Alright."

Psykos stepped closer. At this point, she was taller than Louis. She lowered her head and pressed her forehead against his, their faces only a breath apart, and began transferring the memories.

"That bitch…" Tatsumaki muttered angrily as she watched the scene.
