"Everything the Luna needs," David said calmly, his voice steady but with that same weight of respect that always made me feel safe. Then, turning to Janae, who had stayed near me, he bowed again. "We will be leaving now, Luna," he said politely. "Alpha Darlon, we shall take our leave."


Darlon nodded slightly, his eyes soft but his posture firm. "Thank you," he said, his voice low and controlled.


I reached out, my hand brushing Janae's. "Come back soon," I said, smiling weakly but sincerely. "Visit me, okay? Don't wait for me to get better, I want to see you."
