The next morning, I woke up to find Rudy lying on the floor next to my bed. I was puzzled because I had put him in his bed the night before. I must have fallen asleep on my bed, and it seems he woke up during the night and decided to come into my room with his blanket and pillow to make himself comfortable while he slept. I quietly got out of bed, trying not to wake him up, and headed to the living room to see what I needed to do for Ethan and Emy. As I entered, I noticed a note pinned to the wall.
When I read it, I knew that it was Emy's handwriting. It said that they both had to go help out Reno at his house, so it was just me and Rudy home alone. While reading, my phone rang, so I picked it up and answered it, but I heard a familiar voice on the other line.
"HINA, HOW DID YOU GET MY NUMBER?!" I exclaimed, my voice trembling with complete shock then she said.
"Well, maybe I was on your phone while you were out cold, but let's move past that. How have you been?"
"Uh, good," I replied. Before I could say anything else, she continued, "Hey, I know this might sound crazy, but can Osako and I come over to your house?"
"Uh, sure, I'll send you my address," I said hesitantly. I wasn't sure what to do, and I felt scared because Rudy had never met anyone else before; it was only me, Ethan, and Emy that he had met. While my mind was going crazy, I heard footsteps coming from the hallway. I guess when I woke Rudy from the yelling, I did. When Rudy saw me, he looked at me with a confused expression as if he was trying to say, "What the heck is wrong with him?" After I calmed down, Rudy was trying to communicate with me through sign language, but I couldn't understand what he was trying to say, so I asked if he knew how to write, and he nodded his head, so I grabbed some paper and a pencil and asked him if he could tell me anything. The first thing he asked was if I was ok, and I said.
"Ugh, no, not really! A girl is coming over, and I seriously have no idea what to do! Esto es muy estresante! (meaning this is so stressful)."
After I said that, he asked if she was mean, and I told him that she wasn't; she was the nicest person you could ever meet. After I said that, the doorbell rang, and when I opened the door, Osako rushed in and wrapped his arms around me, bringing us both down to the ground in his excitement. He was so happy to see me again, and Hina was equally cheerful when I got back on my feet. She gave me a warm hug and asked how I had been. I told her that I was doing pretty well and that I have someone that I want them to meet. When I said that, Rudy walked out of the hallway. I'm guessing that when Osako took me down, Rudy got scared and ran towards his room. When Hina saw him, she was so enchanted that she couldn't help but grab onto him with joy. It made me laugh, I had never seen that playful side of her before! Rudy looked so adorably confused, his expression making the scene even more delightful. It was a perfect snapshot of pure, unexpected happiness!.
After all that was finish Osako ask him rudy wanted to play with him but rudy didnt speak he just nobbed his headed When he did that hina ask if he could talk I told her that when Ethan and Emy adopted him, one of the caretakers said that his vocal cords were damaged when he was young, but he can hear, so don't think that he's deaf, okay?. Okay, she said, and so we went outside, and Hina and I started talking about many things about our past. A few minutes later, Rudy came up to me with a piece of paper and asked me to read it. When I read the paper, he asked if Hina and I were dating. When I read that, I said.
"Wait, what? No! It's not like that at all! She and I are not dating; we're merely friends—nothing more."
As I turned to Hina, our eyes briefly locked before she looked away, a deep blush coloring her cheeks. My heart raced in the ensuing silence, Rudy's laughter echoing mockingly in the background. I felt utterly lost, not knowing how to confront the overwhelming tension between us, but when I look back at Rudy, he was just smiling away. As laughter filled the room, I felt a warm glow of happiness. Seeing him brought joy to both Hina and me, while Osako looked at us in pure confusion.
