Chapter 72 - Author's Note

Hey Guys. Happy Holidays.

I feel there's something I need to point out.

First off, might be wrong or missing something as like I said long ago, I am not above mistakes. Now I want to explain the thing with Eri's Quirk.

Got a few comments about me writing plotholes about why Eri's quirk hasn't been checked out yet by the authorities and how it suddenly seems like I am writing flawed Tragedy or something.

First and most importantly, I am not writing Tragedy. Second, I honestly did not think that far to explain why it didn't draw any attention.

The way I currently see it, it's that the authorities should know that Eri's quirk is Rewind, or if not, be curious about why a girl was being tortured in the Shie Hassaikai.

Well, they don't.

First off, those who knew about Eri in the Shie Hassaikai weren't many to begin with. Just the core members, who all escaped using the underground tunnels of the Hassaikai compound when the police stormed.

Second, majority of the evidence was destroyed by a certain someone who I am using to write my current arc when the Shie Hassaikai collapsed.

To the Police and authorities, Eri is just a traumatized girl from an abusive family. She didn't openly reveal that she was tortured, disassembled or any of that. For Aiko, it's been at most two weeks as well, and I think I established that Yuta's memory of season 4 of MHA is nowhere near vivid or even complete. The fact that Eri's quirk accumulates and goes out of control even when she doesn't use her quirk isn't really something he knows of and he can't exactly explain her quirk is Time manipulation.

I am not trying to write an intentional tragedy. This is genuinely how I see it should logically go. Honestly, I didn't even want to write this scene at all, but someone mentioned other fanfic writers deliberately overlooking Eri's quirk and the problems that come with it so I decided to go through with it for authenticity.

Once again, there might be gaps in the logic that I overlooked so feel free to correct me.
