Chapter 189 - Chapter 189: Fearless Resistance

The enlarged Humungousaur had seen a huge boost in both strength and defense.

On top of that, with the system's 10% defense boost, he was even more unstoppable.

Bone-Armored Lizard was thrown into a scramble, waving its bone spines nonstop to block the attacks, but it was getting harder and harder to hold on.

"This guy… I didn't think he could get bigger…"

Bone-Armored Lizard's heart sank to rock bottom.

Humungousaur clenched his fist. Like a small mountain, it crashed down with crushing force.

Bone-Armored Lizard hurriedly thrust out its bone spines, bracing them overhead to block.

Boom!

The hard, dragon-like punch slammed into the six white bone spines, blasting out a violent shockwave that swept in every direction.

By now, the floor under Bone-Armored Lizard had already collapsed, splitting into a dense web of cracks.

He grit his teeth and held on, using the bone spines on his back to brace against Humungousaur's fist.

But as the seconds dragged on, Bone-Armored Lizard began to tremble, a powerful sense of helplessness rising in his chest.

In raw strength, he was completely outmatched by Humungousaur.

"Fearless resistance."

Humungousaur roared and poured all his strength into it, hammering Bone-Armored Lizard straight into the ground like a nail, embedding him in the floor.

Bone-Armored Lizard whipped his bone spines wildly, carving open the stone slabs around him. Moving at incredible speed, he tore himself free and retreated in a blur.

The blue scales covering his body shimmered with a metallic sheen, granting Bone-Armored Lizard powerful defense. Otherwise, that single hit just now would have ended the fight immediately.

Bone-Armored Lizard lifted his head and stared up at Humungousaur like he was facing a giant, resolve flashing in his eyes.

He clenched his claws so hard they bit into his palms and shouted, "I will never lose to you, you big dumb dinosaur!"

As soon as he spoke, Bone-Armored Lizard kicked off the ground, instantly shattering the floor beneath his feet. Like a screaming cannonball, he shot forward and appeared right under Humungousaur.

"Die, die…"

Bone-Armored Lizard's six bone spines whipped frantically, stabbing again and again into Humungousaur's legs, but they only left a few white marks, failing to pierce even his outer skin.

Humungousaur stretched out a palm as wide as a fan and slapped down.

Boom!

The Bone-Armored Lizard, who had been so arrogant a moment ago, was instantly smacked flat onto the ground, kicking up a huge cloud of dust that billowed up and filled the air.

"The victor of this match is the Earthling contestant!"

A cold, emotionless voice echoed from above.

For a brief moment, the spectators in the stands were stunned. Then realization hit, and the entire arena exploded with deafening cheers and piercing screams, the noise surging like a tidal wave.

"Oh my god, Bone-Armored Lizard actually lost! That dragon guy is insane!"

"That was way too strong! I've never seen an alien that powerful!"

"This Earthling is unbelievable! First Muddragon, now Bone-Armored Lizard! Technorg's position isn't safe anymore!!"

"Oh yeah, I won again! Earthling, you're amazing! I love you so much!"

The tiny alien was completely ecstatic.

"Hahahaha! I just bet ten thousand gold coins! With the odds, that's a hundred million gold coins!"

A full hundred million gold coins!

She wouldn't have to worry about money for the rest of her life. When she returned home, she could finally hold her head high. All those relatives and neighbors who had looked down on her would have to bow before her, their faces thoroughly slapped.

And more than that, she could eat all kinds of delicious food, buy tons of clothes… and even hire a few handsome little alien models to pamper herself properly.

As she imagined it all, tears of joy uncontrollably trickled from the corner of her mouth.

Of course, where there was joy, there was also despair.

The black-robed figure who had earlier bet two Taydenites on Bone-Armored Lizard, worth a staggering two hundred million gold coins, had just lost everything.

"Ahhh! I'm going crazy! Bone-Armored Lizard, you useless piece of trash!"

On the verge of collapse, the black-robed man threw down the two Taydenites and fled the area, crying as he went.

...

Humungousaur rapidly shrank back to his normal size and tapped the Omnitrix on his chest.

With a dull thud, Humungousaur reverted to Lucian's original form.

"Detected unregistered DNA. Would you like to record it?"

The Omnitrix on his wrist flashed.

"Obviously. It'd be a waste not to."

Lucian pressed the Omnitrix and began scanning Bone-Armored Lizard's body to record the DNA sample.

The scan finished quickly, and Lucian was immediately teleported away.

...

Elsewhere, the battle between Spidermonkey and Weapon Master had reached its final stage.

Relying on incredible mobility, Spidermonkey constantly wore down his opponent's stamina, occasionally binding him with sticky webs.

At first, Weapon Master held the advantage. Using the fluid secreted from his body, he transformed his tentacles into two massive blades, easily slicing through the surrounding webs.

But as time dragged on, his stamina began to fail. No matter how strong he was in close combat, he had no advantage if he couldn't touch Spidermonkey at all.

Seeing the moment was right, Spidermonkey shot out white webbing from his tail, tightly binding Weapon Master's legs.

He then leapt down from the wall, using the momentum of the fall to deliver a brutal kick straight to Weapon Master's head, knocking him out instantly.

The winner of this match was Spidermonkey.

...

Elsewhere in the arena,

Kevin 11 had been completely bewitched by Blood Fox, his blood nearly drained dry.

At the brink of life and death, the Grey Matter gene within him automatically awakened, forcibly surging into his mind. His instinct to survive gave him back a sliver of clarity.

He had less than ten seconds.

But for Kevin, that was enough.

The moment he regained awareness, Kevin 11 grabbed Blood Fox by the legs and hurled her straight out of the arena, crushing several unlucky spectators on the way down.

The winner of this match was Kevin 11.

After the fight, Kevin collapsed onto the ground, gasping for breath.

Blood Fox had drained a massive amount of his energy earlier, nearly leaving him empty. He needed time to rest before he could recover.

Soon after, a strange red light flared up and teleported him back to the cafeteria.

...

Back in the cafeteria, Lucian was immediately surrounded by a crowd of aliens, all staring at him in disbelief.

"Earthling, you actually defeated Bone-Armored Lizard!"

"Unbelievable! Such a powerful opponent, and you took him down so fast. The last time I ran into Bone-Armored Lizard, I almost got beaten to death. I was lucky to only lose three legs…"

"Terrifying, absolutely terrifying! Earthling, next time we meet, you've got to go easy on me, or I won't survive…"

The cafeteria was packed with aliens, all of them stunned by Bone-Armored Lizard's defeat.

Inside the control room, a tall, slender figure stood with hands clasped behind his back, bathed in eerie red light.

"These three Earth-born beings… are all far stronger than expected. In that case, there's no need to drag this out."

"We'll end the assessment early and send you straight into the final battle."

A cold glint flashed through Slix Vigma's eyes…
