The battlefield fell into a momentary silence.

Sengoku glared furiously at Garp, then turned and commanded, "Have everyone fall back as planned and move into the next phase of the operation!"
Instantly, the sounds of many Den Den Mushi echoed across the battlefield. The Marines took advantage of this rare opportunity to retreat in an orderly fashion.
"Excellent! The Marines are scared! Charge!" A pirate yelled excitedly.
Just as the large fleet of Whitebeard Pirates was about to break into the harbor, they heard Whitebeard's command:
"Destroy all the Marine warships surrounding the harbor entrance!"
Though they didn't know why, trusting Whitebeard, the crews complied.
Sengoku's expression remained unchanged upon seeing this.
"As expected of Whitebeard, he saw through our plan immediately!"
"But it won't matter! Even if they don't enter, as long as we can eliminate you, we will still be the victors!"
If they fell for the trap, a concentrated barrage would eliminate them all. If they didn't, the Marines would allocate forces to block reinforcements and concentrate their superior strength to eliminate Whitebeard!
