Larissa's POV
I watched Zoe end the call and hold her tummy. I may be just twelve years old but my father taught me how to survive in this tough world. I told them the little I could because I have no idea if they are good people or not.
"You should drink this cup of cocoa, little one." Jenna said to me. She is the lady who chose to help us though her own life would also be at stake.
We came here with their dogs and they were lying down on the floor. Surprisingly they were quiet.
I have barely spoken since we got here. I am worried that Dad might be dead. I nodded and collected the cup of cocoa, my hands trembled.
"This little girl looks very familiar, she must be Mateus' daughter right?" Jenna asked as she sat on the sofa by me.
The couple looked confused. It seemed like they're new to town because I also don't know them. They also talk like Americans.
"I am." I answered simply.
