The Viper's POV
I sat in my garden deep in thought. Things are definitely not going as I initially planned them. There have been major setbacks so far. Zoe knows too much and is in hiding, Regina somehow escaped with the help of someone in my ranks.
Slim fingers were placed on my shoulders. I knew exactly who it was from the perfume. "What in the world do you want, Maria?"
I didn't want any visitors today. I need space to think.
She grasped my shoulders and pecked my head. "I miss your arms around me and was hoping to see you. I also wanted to know why you haven't done anything yet. My brother is still standing."
"Are you implying that I'm being incompetent?" I gritted my teeth in annoyance. No one will come to my house and insult me.
"I am not insulting you. I'm in this deal because I want results not just for fun."
"You enjoy our time together though." I said as she sat down beside me on the garden chair.
