"Did we accidentally start a cult while I was asleep?"
Leo was quite taken aback. When he went to sleep, everything appeared to be normal. He was being addressed like the leader of the Alpha Corp, but there was no crazy term like Supreme Leader or even close to that.
He didn't know why, but he had a really bad feeling about this for some reason. Especially with the looks that he was receiving from the people around him.
They had the same level of respect, but there was something more hidden in that gaze.
Just as he was lost in thoughts, the Branch Manager stepped forward, and told him, "Earth has accepted your proposal. There was no resistance."
'No resistance? Why would there be resistance for free security being provided?' Leo inwardly thought, growing even more confused.
"The document of surrender has already been sent to you. I assume you haven't checked that yet?" The Branch Manager asked, wondering if Leo was still sleepy to appear so confused.
