*GREAT ×2* The monitor in front of the boy displayed twice. "Tsk" the boy clicked his tongue against the his teeth with a slight frown. *END* The song came to an end and their scores came up. "WOOOOAH!". Everyone exclaimed including Grace and Desmond. Grace eyes glimmered in admiration towards Nora. A perfect score appeared on the monitor. "PLAYER #1. SCORE:100,000, +500 bonus. TOTAL SCORE: 100,500. GRADE: AAA (Perfection). PLAYER #2. SCORE: 99800 GRADE: AA+ (Excellent)". The monitor displayed the scores. "Wow brooo. You were really hot on my tail". Nora exclaimed looking at the boy with a clam smile. The crowd then burst into a resounding clap, congratulating the both of them.
"Tsk. I was 700 points behind". The boy turned his back at Nora with an angry pout. "It's okay kiddo. You aced the score. Let's go Grace". Nora stretched her hand to Grace while praising the boy. The boy abruptly turned around when he realized her voice was going farther. He chased after her and yelled behind. "What's your name miss?". "Nora". Nora yelled back without looking back and waved her hand, then took a bend into another passage. "Kakkoii". The boy muttered beneath his breathe with his gaze still fixed on Nora before losing sights of her after taking a turn.
NOTE: "KAKKOII" is a Japanese language meaning "COOL" or "SO COOL".
Nora, still holding unto Grace's hand scanned the other sections of the arcade looking for something when her eyes spotted a claw machine afar off. She sprinted towards the machine with Grace tailing behind her. She dipped her hand into her pocket and pulled out two game coins. "Two coins. I should be able to get a plushie in one go". Nora thought to herself then slipped a coin into the slot. She pulled the gears, controlling it to pick a plushie. "Almost... almost". Nora stuck out her tongue, concentrating on getting the plushie into the prize bin. Nora's hand suddenly let go of the gears and the claws dropped the plushie. Nora watched all her hard work crumble. She fixed her eyes on the plushie she had just lost then slipped another coin into the slot. Grace stood next to her cheering her. It went on for a while, she had purchased 5 more game coins and lost all chances.
She stared at the last coin in her hand with a stern look. Her hopes where on the coin, wishing it could be her lucky coin. She took a deep breath then slipped the coin into the slot. "You can do this big sis". Grace cheered her on. "Yes. I can do this". She took another breath after cheering herself. Desmond watched the two so focus on the claw machine from behind. Nora stuck her tongue out again unconsciously then ...BANG! A plushie fell into prize bin. Nora swiftly pulled out the plushie and stared at it with excitement and pride in her eyes. "I did it Grace". Nora beamed. "I knew you could do it big sis". Grace clapped his hand happily. "Take. For you". Nora shoved it into his arms then turned to leave. "F...for me?". Grace stared at the plushie. "Yeah, kid. It's yours now. Or don't you like it? I could get you another one". Nora nodded then abruptly turned and asked.
"No...no! I like it. Thank you". Grace waved frantically hugging the plushie closely to his chest. He lifted the plushie abit, hiding his red flushed face behind the plushie. "You aren't coming Grace?". Nora asked when she saw that distance between Grace and her. "I'm coming". Grace ran over to her side holding unto the hem of her jacket. The three walked out of the mall towards the unground car park where the driver had waited for them for almost 5 minutes after Desmond called him. Desmond stood behind watching out for any threats and entered once Nora and Grace had gotten into the car before shutting the door close and stepping into the front seat.
