So—
The plan was simple: unleash absolute carnage!
"I don't know who I am, I don't know where I am, I don't know what I'm supposed to do—all I know is that I want to kill everything!"
…Alright, that sounded a bit like a terrorist's manifesto.
But that was, more or less, what Ren had in mind.
The Dragon's Breath Shotgun in his hands had been enchanted with Flaming Arrows and Infinity, completely altering its stats.
[Esthet-12 Dragon's Breath Set – Flaming Arrows – Infinity]
Origin:Call of Duty / Minecraft
Type:Firearm / Enchanted
Attachments:12-gauge Dragon's Breath rounds, 25-round drum magazine, Zaliro Type-8 Tactical Barrel, Flashbolt-60, two spare drum mags
Effect: A vicious weapon combining high capacity and rapid rate of fire. Each 12-gauge Dragon's Breath shot scatters blazing magnesium pellets that ignite enemies instantly, burning at temperatures exceeding 1500°C—like the crimson breath of a roaring fire dragon.
Enchantment – Flaming Arrows: imbues the magnesium pellets with a flame spell that reacts unpredictably, causing extreme adhesion and spread of fire.
Enchantment – Infinity: when bullets are loaded into the magazine, shots will not consume ammunition.
Note: Weapon overheating is not nullified by Infinity.
Cost: None
With dual enchantments, the Dragon's Breath had undergone a qualitative leap in sustained firepower—it could keep shooting indefinitely without ever reloading.
In other words, as long as he held down the trigger, he didn't need anyone covering his back.
Of course, the weapon's power was still limited by the firearm's own durability; it could hold up briefly, but not for long-term use.
Ren only considered it one of his methods for clearing out fodder. The other was the ten tons of seawater he'd brought from Gerven Island.
The Fifth Calabash Brother Template might not have been the strongest, but it did come with a divine ability—Swallowing Rivers and Flooding Lakes.
Might as well make use of it.
He still had fifteen Mana Crystals in reserve, as well as a few Invisibility Potions and plenty of Health Potions left over.
Following his philosophy that "unused items are dead items," Ren had prepared supplies for both Nami and Nojiko. Zoro, however, had lost interest in external aids after trying invisibility once.
At this point, his remaining chips totaled 180 million.
Ren was seriously considering another round of draws. By now, he had a rough idea of how each template system worked.
Given the Rider of Fate's Tide's traits, he had a good chance of pulling what he actually wanted.
And this incident on Gerven Island might just serve as the perfect test run.
"Let's do a small spin now—the big one can wait until we crush the Krieg Pirates."
With that thought, and recalling his previous lucky pulls, Ren decided not to use the Silver Roulette but to spin the High-Tier VIP Roulette instead.
One million chips per spin. Twenty beams of light flared out in an instant.
Ren quickly skimmed through the results. Aside from useless junk like the Krieg Death Corps' Charge Lance—a weapon fit only for suicidal maniacs—and common consumables like Mana Crystals, two of the prizes were actually useful skills.
But among them appeared something utterly unexpected—
Den Den Mushi!
[Communications Den Den Mushi Wristwatch ×4]
Origin:One Piece World
Type:Biotechnology
Effect: A wristwatch modified by the Navy's Science Division based on the standard Den Den Mushi, capable of long-distance communication through bio-electrical waves. During calls, it perfectly mimics the expressions of the speakers.
Each Den Den Mushi has its own unique signal wave; communication occurs through a shared public frequency channel. To ensure directional communication with a specific target, the Den Den Mushi mimics the recipient's likeness to complete the biological synchronization required for connection.
Functionally equivalent to a normal phone; signal strength varies by size and health. Larger, healthier Den Den Mushi have stronger signals and can even send faxes with special attachments.
Cost:Leaves / Den Den Mushi Feed
It looked like a bracelet, with a half-rounded lid on the back of the hand.Opening it revealed a sleeping Den Den Mushi inside—actually, several different kinds.
[Black Den Den Mushi Wristwatch ×2]
Origin:One Piece World
Type:Biotechnology
Effect: A smaller species of Den Den Mushi that loves exchanging information with its kind. The Navy's Science Division modified it into a listening device capable of intercepting communication waves. Due to the special modification, it cannot make calls—only eavesdrop.
Cost:Leaves / Den Den Mushi Feed
There was no doubt about it—Den Den Mushi were the pinnacle of One Piece-world biotechnology, and their effectiveness was unquestionable.
For a one-million-Beli draw, this was absolutely worth it.
But what truly caught Ren's attention—so much that he ignored the skills entirely—was the one resting in his hand:
A silver Den Den Mushi.
[Silver Den Den Mushi]
Origin:One Piece World
Type:Biotechnology
Effect: A specially modified Den Den Mushi used by the Navy's Science Division. It only receives signals from a Golden Den Den Mushi, triggering an alarm when one is activated. Normally deployed aboard Vice Admirals' warships as receivers.
Cost:Leaves / Den Den Mushi Feed
The silver variant itself wasn't powerful. Compared to the communicators or the black eavesdroppers, it was practically useless.
Yet its appearance sparked a terrifying thought.
Could it be… possible to draw a Golden Den Den Mushi too?
After all, Nami's Magical Clima-Tact had been conjured from nothing by the Dimensional Roulette.
As for what a Golden Den Den Mushi did—well, that was simple.
It was the trigger for a Buster Call—a special transmitter capable of summoning Marine Headquarters' fleet to annihilate an island.
Though it was merely a "high-grade" Den Den Mushi with an unsettling golden glow, in any era—even now—it could only be held by a Marine Admiral or higher, authorized directly by Headquarters.
Pressing its button would instantly summon a group of Vice Admirals to unleash indiscriminate destruction upon the target island.
In Ren's memory of One Piece, such destruction befell a place called Enies Lobby—the Judicial Island, directly under the World Government.
"If that's possible, the potential for manipulation would be enormous…"
Ren couldn't help but think.
Imagine triggering a Buster Call on Sabaody Archipelago?Or targeting an enemy stronghold?Or even… Mary Geoise—well, maybe not that one.
Still, such an item could clearly only be used once. The first Buster Call might catch the Marines off-guard, but the second surely wouldn't.
Nami, meanwhile, was staring curiously at the strange creatures that had suddenly appeared.
"What Den Den Mushi are these?"
"These are yours, try feeding them some leaves and see if they'll eat."
Ren handed the Den Den Mushi over to Nami, leaving her to experiment with their feeding habits.
