Violet
I was relieved to find a bathing room behind the second door. Relief washed over me.
Every surface was smooth and gleamed like marble. The bathing tub was larger than what I was used to, and there were more crystal stones in the walls that lit up when the door opened. The light reflected off the polished surfaces until everything seemed to shimmer.
There were oils and soaps arranged on small shelves, soft towels folded nearby.
I moved to the sink and turned the ornate taps. Water flowed out a bit cold and I immediately wiped my face with it. Sighing and leaning back to look into the small mirror mounted on the wall.
I leaned against the sink and shuddered.
I hadn't had any pressing intrusive thoughts about Kael for a while and it had been nice. And now…
I shook my head, wanting to take my mind off the whole thing entirely. I moved to the tub and experimented with the various taps there before finding one that spewed out warm water.
