Chapter 135 - Chapter 135: Searching for Dragon Balls

Everyone wore solemn expressions. This Battle for the Dragon Ball wouldn't be simple.

John Wick thought to himself that Koji had been right. The world was indeed descending into chaos.

Smith smiled. "Of course, if any of you have wishes you'd like fulfilled, you can participate in this Dragon Ball competition."

Hearing Smith's words, everyone shook their heads. On one hand, no one had urgent wishes requiring fulfillment. On the other, this battle for the Dragon Ball would be dangerous. Why risk their lives when they could serve as referees instead?

Cross asked, "How do we determine the Dragon Ball's location and its holder?"

Smith produced the Dragon Ball radar Bulma had created earlier. When he pressed the button, a radar display appeared with himself as the center dot and Dragon Balls as flashing points around it.

Everyone immediately noticed one Dragon Ball wasn't far away, located at Tony's beachfront villa in Los Angeles.

"This is the Dragon Ball Radar. It can determine Dragon Ball locations. Bulma developed it."

Hearing it was Bulma's creation, everyone expressed amazement. Thanks to the scouter, Bulma had become the Fraternity's financial goddess and a genius scientist admired by all.

With the Dragon Ball Radar, the team could locate Dragon Ball owners without relying solely on Smith's notifications. After all, knowing the Dragon Balls' abilities, holders would definitely carry them, and locations would constantly change.

"Since none of you intend to fight for the Dragon Ball, then we'll take the lead in this battle!"

A large number of vampire members gathered in the London vampire castle.

A vampire in an elegant suit, holding a wine glass filled with blood, raised it high. "Our noble families may be separated by oceans, but we are equally dedicated to preserving our bloodline."

He smiled at the assembled crowd. "Once Amelia arrives and awakens Marcus, within two days, we will be united once again. We thank our host for his hospitality!"

Kraven, sitting at the side of the banquet, watched the speech. Erica approached and whispered in his ear.

"Go upstairs. Selene left with a group of Death Dealers."

Hearing Erica's words, Kraven didn't hesitate. He followed Erica upstairs immediately.

When he pushed open the door, he found the room empty except for the laptop Selene had been using, still powered on.

Kraven heard noise downstairs and saw through the window that three cars drove out of the castle. One was Selene's vehicle.

Seeing this result, Kraven felt anger mixed with helplessness. As the temporary host responsible for everything, he could only return to the banquet. After all, he was tonight's host and couldn't be absent.

Selene's focus had shifted entirely from investigating werewolf appearances to the Dragon Balls that could grant wishes. However, she couldn't mobilize all vampire power, even as Victor's adopted daughter.

Moreover, the Dragon Ball's power was too tempting. Selene couldn't reveal the secret to everyone in the family. She could only lead her trusted confidants to find the Dragon Balls.

Selene led twelve Death Dealers total to a secret base in London.

The base was substantial, its armory filled with numerous weapons. Selene looked at the twelve gathered before her. "Everyone, I've found a new direction. A path for vampires to escape darkness and move toward light."

After hearing Selene's words, everyone stirred with commotion. Moving toward light?

"Selene, you mean toward the light? As in no longer having the sunlight weakness, or stepping into the public spotlight like the god or Iron Man?"

Selene nodded firmly. "That's right. No longer fearing the sun. And stepping into the spotlight won't be impossible then. Our race will usher in new glory!"

Hearing Selene's words, everyone became immediately excited. "What's the solution? Selene, did you discover something?"

Scientists had studied and attempted to overcome vampires' weaknesses like sunlight fear and ultraviolet sensitivity for years without success. As creatures of night, there had never been a daywalker among vampires. Sunlight remained fatal.

Selene produced her three-star ball. "I need this. It's called a Dragon Ball. There are seven total, each containing stars. One star, two stars, and so on. The one in my hand is the three-star ball."

Because only the first person to contact a Dragon Ball learned its secret, Selene felt safe revealing it before everyone.

"I need to collect all seven Dragon Balls. Then our race will begin a new evolution. This is guidance given to me by our ancestor! Now use all available resources to find information about the remaining Dragon Balls. If anyone discovers clues, inform me immediately."

After hearing Selene's words, everyone nodded. They took out cameras to photograph the Dragon Ball and began using their resources to investigate information about Dragon Balls.

Soren's team, responsible for investigating werewolf intelligence, discovered the werewolves' real target through subway station surveillance footage.

"What do these werewolves want with such an ordinary person?"

A team member spoke up. "Captain, whatever the werewolves' purpose in finding him, we just need to locate him before they capture him. Then we wait and catch all the werewolves that come to us."

Soren nodded, then took the photograph, considered briefly, and sent it to Selene.

"Selene, this is the werewolf's real target. As for why they're searching for him, I'll explain after capturing and interrogating him."

Watching the Death Dealer take action, Selene received Soren's message. She frowned slightly looking at the man in the photograph.

Compared to the werewolf appearance and the ordinary person involved, Selene cared more about the Dragon Ball. As long as she found the Dragon Balls and fulfilled her wish, werewolves would no longer pose a threat without the sunlight weakness.

She replied to the text message: "I'm leaving all werewolf-related matters to you, Soren. As for why they're searching for this ordinary person, he may be a breakthrough."
