Chapter 113 - Is This Still Macragge?

Meanwhile, the Ultramarines squad led by Lyon and Calgar was rushing towards Macragge.

Unexpectedly, this Warp Travel was unusually smooth, with almost no Daemons attacks encountered.

The Chaos Creatures that once plagued the Immaterium had now vanished without a trace.

Lyon stood by the Viewport, hands clasped behind his back, his brow slightly furrowed.

"Chapter Master, did you notice? This Voyage is too quiet."

Chapter Master Calgar nodded, the red light in his External Mechanical Eye flickering.

"It is certainly unusual. We haven't encountered a single Chaos attack for half a month, a situation I have never seen in my centuries of Service Career."

"It seems the Emperor has truly awakened. Look in that direction, Terra's Radiance is brighter than ever," the Navigator exclaimed, looking toward Terra.

Lyon followed the Navigator's guidance and saw that even he could perceive the unprecedented Golden Light emanating from Terra's direction in the Immaterium.

This light was like a Lighthouse in the darkness, dispelling the Chaos Shadow from their route.

"It's not just the Emperor awakening," Lyon murmured, the image of Ian flashing through his mind, "There is another God."

Calgar's expression was serious. "Do you truly believe that news? The Emperor of a Parallel Universe?"

Lyon was silent for a moment, then spoke.

"I trust my own eyes. I have seen him with my own eyes. His Power is immensely Mighty."

Normally, the Warp Travel from their departure Star System to Macragge would take at least several years.

During that time, they would have to pass through dozens of major Battles and avoid countless Warp Storms.

However, this time, they neared their destination in just half a month.

"This is not normal, Lyon," Calgar whispered, "But if this is truly related to the Emperor, perhaps there is Hope for Humanity after all."

Soon after, a sudden commotion occurred in the Material Universe, and a Vortex of Purple Mist formed in front of the Warship.

The center of the Vortex slowly expanded, forming a Portal to the Material Universe.

"Hold steady!" Calgar broadcasted to the entire ship, "Prepare to exit the Immaterium."

Several Warships filed out of the Portal, returning to the Material Universe. The Portal slowly closed behind them, finally dissipating in the Void of Space.

Lyon breathed a sigh of relief.

Warp Travel was always a risk; every safe arrival was a cause for celebration.

"Macragge location locked," reported the Fleet Navigator.

"Begin acceleration, prepare to approach the Orbit," Calgar ordered.

Lyon walked toward the Observation Window, ready to behold the Ultramarines Homeworld after years of separation. However, the sight before him instantly froze him.

"By the Emperor..." he whispered in disbelief, "Is this truly Macragge?"

Calgar quickly came to his side, his Mechanical Eyes flickering with surprised red light.

Macragge had completely changed its appearance.

The Blue Planet's surface now featured hundreds of magnificent Architectural Complexes, and massive Orbital Stations circled the planet, shimmering with Golden-Blue Energy Radiance.

Calgar, as the current Lord of Macragge, felt this most deeply. The Macragge before him was completely different from his memory.

The bustling activity in the surrounding Space was even more bewildering.

A massive Starport floated nearby in Space, with thousands of Spacecraft constantly taking off and landing on its surface.

As the Warship continued forward, an even more shocking scene appeared: several colossal Planet-Sized Metal Constructs were suspended behind Macragge. Each had a diameter exceeding ten thousand kilometers.

They floated silently, emitting no Light, and Calgar would not have noticed them if he hadn't been looking closely.

"What are those?" Calgar frowned.

"War... Planets?" Lyon guessed, recalling Movies he had seen before Transmigrating.

The alarm on the Flight Deck suddenly blared.

"Chapter Master! A Giant Vessel is approaching us!" the Radar Officer urgently reported.

Lyon and Calgar turned to the Viewport. A massive Behemoth was leaving the Starport and sailing toward them. The Vessel was entirely painted in Golden-Blue Livery, the same style as their Warship.

"Is that... an Ultramarines Warship?" Calgar was incredulous.

Lyon was speechless. Their Warship looked like a Child next to that Giant Vessel.

In his centuries of Military Service, he had seen large Warships, but the largest Battleship was only about twenty kilometers long. This Giant Vessel, by estimation, was at least a hundred kilometers long.

"We have a Communication Request, Sir," the Communications Officer reported.

"Connect it," Calgar commanded, his voice filled with unconcealed Nervousness and Excitement.

The Holographic Projection flickered, and an Ultramarine wearing brand-new Blue Power Armor appeared in the center of the Command Room.

"Welcome home, Chapter Master Calgar, Captain Lyon," the Holographic Image flashed a brilliant Smile. "We have detected your Signal. The Primarch is now waiting to meet with you."

The Command Room instantly fell silent.

"The Primarch?" Calgar finally found his voice. "Lord Guilliman?"

"Precisely," the Holographic Image nodded. "The Primarch has returned, and the Chapter is Reborn. Please follow my guidance to the Orbital Docking Bay."

"Macragge is under Reconstruction. You will need new Landing Coordinates."

Lyon and Calgar exchanged glances, their Eyes filled with Shock and Confusion.

In the short time they had been away, Macragge had undergone such an Earth-Shattering Transformation.

"What on earth happened while we were gone?" Lyon muttered to himself.

The Giant Warship approached them, slowly turning to reveal its side. A massive Golden Eagle Head on the Hull shone with a Sacred Radiance in the Sunlight.

They soon understood that this was no longer the struggling Imperium they remembered. This was an Awakening Giant, a Human Civilization revitalized with new Vigor.

"Perhaps," Calgar said in a low voice, clenching his Power Fist, "Humanity truly has a Chance."

Lyon nodded silently, his gaze Resolute.

Whatever awaited them, he was ready. To fight for Humanity, and to fight for the Emperor.

Next, the opposing Warship opened up, enveloping their Vessel. Then, with an Acceleration, it rushed toward a newly constructed large Starport on Macragge.

After Calgar, Lyon, and the other newly returned Ultramarines toured the interior of the Giant Warship, learning about its Structure and Weaponry, they then visited the Armory storing over a hundred Titans.

At this, they could no longer contain their Excitement. The Weapon Specifications might have been exaggerated and required further Testing in Battle.

But they all knew the Might of the Titans. A single Titan could change the Tide of a Battle.

It was hard to imagine the Scene when all these hundred-plus Giant Titans entered the Battlefield. Just the thought of it filled them with a sense of Security.

Their Fists hardened. Calgar was itching to go and conquer a couple of Ork Planets just to celebrate!
