"Ha!" Echoed in the large room. Her legs and fist, kicking and punching at plain air. And again, always, "Ha!" would leave her mouth. Ryan just stood, watching her with his head tilted to the side. He stared with a raised brow.
"Ha!" she said again..
"What are you doing?" Ryan asked her. For the fifth time since they've been in the room.
"I'm warming up" she replied "I'm going to be perfect at this. Ha!"
"You keep wasting time. If you don't stop now, I'll leave"
"Okay, I'm done" she jumped in her toes, staring at him with an intensity to kill. Ryan sighed and walked to her slowly. Immediately, she stood in the position of a Praying Mantis attacking prey.
"I'll teach you the basics first" Ryan told her and she stood straight.
"Ah..." she nodded. Understanding she was too much. Ryan taught her the basic in martial arts and a few steps. It wasn't even up to an hour he began to teach her, when...
"It's okay. I can do it now" she said.
"Aria..."
"Don't go easy on me" she cut him off. "Because I'll beat you to a pulp"
A smirk went up his face "Really?"
"Yes. So come at me"
Ryan shook his head, crossing his hands behind his back "You come" and immediately, she rushed to him. Aria threw her right fist at his pretty face, and he dodged. She threw the left and he dodged to the right. Biting her lips, she threw her fist again but this time he caught it. It seemed so small in his hands. Ryan looked at her with a sinister gaze, and then he twisted her hand behind her back.
"Ow, ow, ow, ow.... It's hurts" she cried out. Ryan let her go and she rubbed her hand, glaring hard at him. He only smiled, and then he turned to walk back to his initial spot. She rushed to him again, grabbing his shoulder. He held her hand and flung her over his shoulder like she was just a piece of paper.
"Ow, my butt!" she cried. "Can't you go easy on me?!"
"I thought you said you'll beat me to a pulp?"
"It's my first time. You're supposed to go soft!"
"Soft?" he laughed. "I'm very strict. So... give up, Aria"
"Never!" she said. And then stood up. This time her fist came flying really fast. The more he dodged, the more it came. He caught her right fist, but she manoeuvred her way behind him and kicked his back. He staggered forward, and before he could think, she kicked him again.
They continued, kicking and punching each other like kids. But Ryan was really holding back so he wouldn't hurt her. But damn, the girl kept hurting him. She even broke his pretty red lips. She felt strong for even able to do that.
An hour passed, and she got tired. Defeating Ryan was like the sun rising from the north. It was impossible. He doesn't seem to be out of strength. She laid on the floor, breathing like crazy. But he was still standing strong.
"You give up?" he asked her.
"No. I'm just tired" she replied "When I get my strength back, I'll really defeat you this time. And you, why do you keep holding back? You make it hard for me"
"Do you think you'd still be alive if I didn't hold back?" he asked with a sinister smile.
She stared at him with wide eyes. And then she said, "Wow...you're so cool. You have so much strength." he chuckled lightly, and sat beside her. She was still trying to catch her breath.
"Ah.. Ryan I was wondering. How did you know I wanted to study business?" Aria asked, her eyes fixed intently in him. The last time she checked, she never told him.
"Ah..that?" he scratched the back of his head. "I didn't know. I just wanted you to study that"
She rose up immediately and looked at him with creased brows "Why?"
"Uh... because... Well, a CEO should definitely know about business, right?" he stuttered, leaving her confused again.
"Huh? What are you saying?"
He thought if he should tell her now. The way she looked at him made him feel escaping this would make her angry. What if she begins to to ignore him because he didn't tell her? That would be so damn bad on his side.
"It wasn't me, he signed it" he said, again, leaving her confused.
"What?"
"The contract was...as long I have you with me... I'll keep investing in Doshin. And then after five years...the company would be mine. So... I can just give it to you since you're the true heir"
"WHAT?!" he shuddered as she screamed, scratching his head again. "How could you make such a deal? I'm very sure he's not aware of it"
"I was just angry that he gave you to me so easily. I wanted to punish him by taking what he chose over you" he said while looking down, like he just confessed a crime of stealing biscuits to his mother.
Arianna didn't know what to feel. She was just a stranger at that time. Then why was he angry?
"Just.. accept it. It's my biggest gift to you. I know you really want to punch him, right?"
"Y-yes, but... Ryan I can't be a CEO"
"Show me where it's written on your forehead" he said somewhat jokingly, and she lowered her eyes."You can do it. Okay?"
Arianna lifted her eyes and looked in his. How did she get such a boyfriend? She's too lucky. He's trusting her with a company that keeps growing everyday. He lifted his hand and brushed her hair gently. She just stared, feeling like she was going to cry for being blessed with such a good man.
"But... wouldn't that make them hate me more?" she asked with pursed lips.
"Hmm..." he looked to the side like he was thinking "That...I don't care. As long as they don't hurt you or else I'll kill them myself" he said.
Arianna smiled, thinking he was just bluffing "You're not serious, right?"
His gaze grew dark, "I am not joking" his voice went dark and harsh as well "I will kill them...if they hurt you "
She blinked her eyes repeatedly. Wow...he's so overprotective. This is the second time he said this. He would really kill because of her. Ah...she's so special and lucky. No one have ever killed for her. It's good to have someone now.
While they just sat there staring at each other, Leonel walked in. "Young master" he called, and Ryan craned his neck to look at him. Arianna saw his eyes were red like the demons she sees in her dreams. He smiled, she saw his canines were longer like Ryan's was a while ago.
"I got him" Leonel said. She could hear the darkness in his voice. She looked at Ryan, the aura around him too went dark and terrifying. What's going on with these two? Ryan stood up, and she followed.
"Aria.."
"Yes" she answered immediately.
"Go wait inside and don't come out until I tell you" he ordered.
"Huh? Why?"
"Just do as I say" and just like that he walked away.
