She opened her eyes and looked around her. The sky was bright blue, the sun shone on the green blue sea below and it shimmered. The air was cool, and she blinked her eyes repeatedly.
Arianna turned to look at Ryan, he just stood, staring at the sea with a far off gaze. Breathing through his mouth slowly.
"Ryan" she called him, and he turned his face to her. His eyes were still gold, and his fangs were still out. "What was that for? You were scaring them" she yelled gently at him.
"They were hurting you" he spoke, voice rugged and harsh.
"They were just doing what they're supposed to do. That's why it's a haunted house." she said and he moved his eyes. Heaving a deep sigh. Sweat had long broke on his forehead, and he looked disturbed. She noticed.
"Ryan, are you alright?" Arianna asked, walking closer to him.
He hesitated "I'm fine"
Arianna saw his jaws clench. She could only think he was in pain again. So she just hugged him without a word. A long pained exhale let his lips, as he succumbed to her warmth again. His eyes closed as he drunk in her scent. Resting his chin on her shoulder, he held tightly against his body. He just wanted the pain to go away.
After a long while, just standing on the rock and hugging each other, he finally pulled away.
"Are you fine now?" Arianna asked, and he nodded with a smile.
"You're my drug" he told her. And again, she blushed. It seems she's doing that on purpose.
"By the way, where are we?" She asked, and he just looked around.
"I don't know" he answered. "Let's go back and get the car"
"How?" she wondered, and a smile went to his face.
"You said you wanted to fly, right?"
"Yes..."
"Okay, let's fly"
"But you don't have wings. How are we going to fly?"
He just crouched and said, "Get on my back" Her lips pursed , but she climbed his back immediately. Standing up, Ryan leaped from the ground and she screamed in fright. He landed on a tree, and craned his head back. "Are you okay?" he asked.
"Awesome. How can you jump so high?" she exclaimed, panting.
"Should we go again?"
"Yes! Hurry, hurry" she continuously tapped his shoulder. And Ryan leaped from tree.
"Ahh..." Again, she screamed. It was a bit scary but fun. He landed on another tree, and then leaped. He kept on, but wasn't that fast thinking she might fall sick. And she kept on screaming in excitement. He finally landed on the ground with no one in sight.
"Wow...Wow. That was awesome." She exclaimed "Ryan please, let's fly again"
"You might fall sick" he told her.
"Please Ryan, it's fun" she pleaded with those eyes again. Ryan carried her in his arms, and then leaped higher into the sky. And then he stopped. They were in air, and again, she screamed.
"Awesome! This is so fun!"
A thought went in his head, and Ryan threw her down. She screamed as she was falling, not in horror but in excitement. And then he caught her again a few distance to the ground, and then back up to the sky. He threw her above, she screamed. He caught her again, holding on her waist. He leapt. The wind blew both their hairs. And her heart raced in so much fun. She was flying. Ah...this is so fun!!!
After flying and enjoying the wind for minutes. They finally came down to the ground.
"Oh...that was fun. We should do it often" Aria said.
"Okay"
"Ah..Ryan. Let's go take pictures" she suddenly said. "Let's have a lot together" he smiled, liking the idea.
"Alright, let's go get the car" he then lifted her up again and leapt, arriving in the park beside the car. Surprisingly, no one saw them land from above.
Just when they were about to enter the car, they heard a few people talking.
"Mummy, I want to go to the haunted house"
"You shouldn't take your son there. Haven't you heard...the devil came by?"
"What?"
"They say he nearly killed one of the staffs."
"I also heard, he has fangs, claws and horns."
"That's right"
"He also has golden eyes like fire"
"They said he came with his woman. I didn't know the devil had a woman"
"How sure are you it really was the devil and not a staff?"
"That's right. It's a haunted house"
"It's true. They say two couples went in. And when the zombies came, the man turned into the devil. He was really infuriated that they touched his woman."
"And when the securities came, they were no longer there. They disappeared into plain air"
"The staff said if not for the devil's woman, he would have been dead"
They all spoke, and Ryan had his lips pressed in a thin line. Trying to suppress his laughs.
"I was cool, wasn't I?" he whispered to Arianna, and she looked at him.
"You almost killed someone because of me. You want me to say you're cool?" He pressed his lips again, and then opened the car for her. She looked at him, he was acting like child being scolded. She just smiled and climbed in car. He got in after, and rode out of the park.
