Her eyes fluttered open and she rubbed the sleep out of her eyes. Yawning, she rose up and arranged her messy hair. Her eyes scanned the room. Where is Ryan?
Hastily, she climbed off the bed, wore her slippers and dashed out. The first place she wanted to check was his study, so when she reached there, she stopped because she heard he was talking to someone. So she just eavesdropped.
"So what you're saying is ...he's responsible for the assassination?" she heard Ryan's voice.
"Yes, young master" Leonel replied. "I'm not certain what he wanted, but he's kind of a psycho. I also got a call. He wants to buy our biggest shares"
"Ha" a deadly chuckle escaped his lips, and then "Hahaha" he laughed, so murderously. "Such guts" he said.
"Now that you know he's behind Emerald, you should meet him before things get worse one of these days. Or even today since you're ready" Leonel told him.
"I can't. I have somewhere I have to be today" Ryan said, his eyes gleaming dangerously.
"So you'd just ignore him?"
"What do I have you for? Settle things about the company. I'll settle the main matters here"
"Look, I know you're angry about last night. But don't go doing things stupid because of your raging bloodlust. It would be the end of you if you don't know it" he stated.
Ryan looked at him with an indifferent look, while the tip of his tongue touched his canine. "You want me to just sit and relax while they trouble her, huh... I should just sit"
"You can't do anything...."
"WHY? Why can't I?"
"Sigh... Young master, it's a trap to lure you out, can't you see?"
"I don't give a f**k. I'll kill all of them"
"Take it easy... " Ryan just stood abruptly and began walk out. Arianna who was still by the door, rushed back to the bedroom. She just sat on bed and lowered her eyes, waiting for him to come in. She remembered him saying he was going out. And without her. No! She'd go with him at all cost. She can't afford to stay without him especially now that she's so scared.
The door creaked open and he walked in, his eyes met hers. Hastily, she stood up and rushed to him, embracing him in a hug.
Ryan was stunned at this morning greeting "Is.. is something wrong? Are you hurt?" he asked, a little worried.
"I... I didn't see you when I woke up so I.. I got a little tensed" she replied and pulled away. His hand landed on her hair and he began to brush it lovingly.
"Do you feel okay?" he asked her.
"Hmm" she nodded.
"Alright, hurry up and have breakfast, okay?"
"A-are you going somewhere?" she asked and Ryan looked down at his clothes, and then lifted his eyes to her.
"Uh..yes, I am" he replied.
"I want to go with you" she said, unknowingly holding her breath.
"You can't"
"Why?"
Ryan touched his nape, and then scratched the back of his head "It's..it's..uhm.. a very boring place" he lied.
"But it won't be boring if you're there, right?"
"Aria, it's also very dangerous" he added and she pulled a sad face.
"You want to leave me here alone, then?"
Ryan blinked "Ms Jung is here with you"
"No!" she hugged him again tightly, and began to cry. "If you won't take me with you, then you're not going anywhere"
"Aria, listen...." he tried pulling her away, but she gripped him harder, shaking her head against his chest.
"I don't want to listen. I must go with you"
Oh gosh! What's with her drama this morning? He gets she's still afraid but Ms Jung is here. And he has to deal with those demons.
"Aria... I'll buy you a lot of ice-creams when I'm coming back" he told her, but she shook her head in disagreement. "How about more clothes?" she shook her head again. "A teddy bear?"
"No. I want to go with you."
How can he let her? Does she knows what that means? It's means showing his true nature to her. Then she would get scared him, and she wouldn't want to be around him. She wouldn't want to love a demon like him.
"Fine. I'm not going anymore" he said and she leaned back. Eh? "I'll stay home today, I won't go anywhere"
"B-but why? Isn't that place important?"
"It is, but not as important as you" he flashed a smile, and stroked her cheek.
"So you'd stay home with me?" she asked again and he nodded. She smiled sweetly, satisfied. But as Ryan stared at her, his look changed into a mischievous one and he smirked, tilting his head to the side.
"Have you falling for me, Aria?" he asked, and her eyes widened.
"Huh...?"
"Have you finally falling for your beautiful boyfriend? That you cannot stay without him?"
Aria blinked twice, thrice, and then pulled away from him. She turned her back against her him as her hand touched her chest. Her heart raced at that question. Why would he asked that? Why would he...
Ryan hugged her from behind and she flinched, her breath caught in her throat. He moved her hair, leaving her neck bare for him.
"Shouldn't you tell me how you feel, sweetheart?" he spoke against her neck and then kissed her softly there. She shut her eyes tight and bit her lips. The erotic feeling that surged through her caused her stomach to be filled with butterflies. Her cheeks burning with an intensity greater than ever before.
"I'm waiting" he whispered in her ear, and then started placing kisses down her neck.
"I.. I.. I feel like..." she held his arm as she loosened her grip on him like she wanted to face him, however... "I feel like running away" she completed after pulling him away, and she ran into the bathroom and shut the door.
"Yah!!" Ryan who was enjoying teasing her got pissed when she ran away from him. He rushed to the door and banged it with his fist. "Yah! Open the door now, Aria"
"I want to shower so we could eat okay?" she said from inside.
"You're not supposed to escape from me!" he spoke through clenched teeth.
"I'm not escaping" she turned on all the tap so whatever he says she wouldn't hear.
He took a few steps back, breathing a little raspy "Fine then. Wanna play, sweetheart? Let's play" a devilish smirk crossed his face and he walked out of the room.
