At one end, Yeong Jun sat with a few others. But where his eyes were, were on Ryan. He had this look of observance on him. His looks a little familiar. Or should he say, he looks a little like someone he knows very well. Someone he sees every day that passes. He quite suspicious of Ryan's looks. Especially when he suddenly wore glasses. Can it be him? Her son?
He sighed, a tiny smile creeping to his face and then it disappeared immediately they came. If it's him, one of these days they should meet. It would be a pleasure meeting him.
*...*...*...*
Ryan sat, twirling the wine glass slowly in his hand. His eyes were on the table, but anyone looking at him would know he wasn't really staring at the table. His gaze was dark, the air around him heavy, and so was his teeth clenched. Dark smoke seems to hover over him, and the surrounding around him was as cold as the north pole. Now it has dawned on him. The main reason she so badly wanted to attend this party was to see him. If only he knew before, he wouldn't have let her. That way she wouldn't have hugged him, in front of him.
She hugged another man in front of him. And danced with another, in front of him. He sipped slowly, like a bored devil looking for who to feast on. His eyes travelled back to her, only to find her facing Hayden and smiling widely. His teeth gritted and he moved his eyes away.
Letting out a deep exhale, he said, "I'll be out for a while"
"Hey, where are you..." Zariel couldn't complete her words because the man was already walking away.
"He can't stand it" Leonel spoke and sipped his drink too "Tsk, tsk, Poor Anna." he could only shake his head at the possible things Ryan would do to her.
Arianna and the others had been eating and chatting happily. She had the best time ever today, especially because Hayden was with them. To the point that she forgot everything and focused on him, filling with questions. Jia saw when Ryan left, so she followed. Meeting him outside, she stood beside him. The night's air blowing passed them. He didn't speak even when he knew she was there.
"Why're you outside?" she asked him "You're supposed to be inside, enjoying the party"
"I do not like parties" he answered coldly, gritting his teeth.
"Oh. I see that you and Mr Han Yun Shin have this in common, eh?" she raised a brow at him, staring at him with a serious gaze.
"Why do you say so?"
"Anna told me he doesn't like parties as well" she simply said, and he sighed. Aria...did you have to spill the beans too?
"I was expecting him to be here today. So I can thank him personally" Jia said, hoping to squeeze the truth from this man.
"I already thanked him on your behalf. There's no need to" he went with flow.
"Why? Is there something you both are hiding?"
"What do you want?" Ryan asked, seemingly irked.
"The truth" she blurted out.
"Sigh..what truth?"
"If you're him..."
"I've told you, I am not him!"
"Then, why did she say his name is Han Ryan instead of Han Yun Shin?" Ryan moved his eyes away, sighing in frustration. She knows now and she's still bugging him. "Look, I mean no harm. I just want to know if you're that same hero she had always been telling me about. The one who took her out of that hell and brought smile to her face. I just want to know" Ryan looked at her, and the he looked away.
"I know Mr Han likes keeping his identity hidden." she continued "I promise not to tell anyone if you're him" he let out a sigh again. Should he tell her? She's Ari's best friend.
"Fine. We're the same person" he said a low tone, afraid of others hearing.
"For real?! You're her hero? For real?!" she exclaimed, excited about her findings. He just stared at her, no words could leave his mouth. "Okay, one more thing" she tried to hold her laughs "Are you... are you the same person who saved me at Taesan corp? I wouldn't tell Anna if you don't want me"
Oh gosh! This woman! "Why do think I am?" he asked her.
"The eyes are the same" she simply said with narrowed eyes. "Anyways, if you're the same person, thank you very much. I really appreciate it. And thank you for for being there for Anna. And don't worry, your secret is safe with me. It's a pleasure meeting you CEO Han" she chuckled lightly, bowed and then left.
Ryan stood there dumbfounded, but then, annoyance and anger took over. All that roamed his mind was Ivan's hand around his woman's waist, and dancing with her. Who should be doing that? Him! Only him! But even she agreed to it. She wanted it. And knowing that, he clenched his teeth that threatened to elongate into fangs. Earlier, he was so insecure about a fish. And now a human! If he had thoughts of killing a fish before, what should he do to a human? Torture him until he begs for death. That way no one would ever want his woman. Never, ever. Ryan smirked at his thoughts. But then it disappeared. Isn't that quite viscous? He's not meant to hurt them. But this whole thing is driving him nuts!
He took a deep breath, calming his angered self that refused to be calm. It was just a dance....and a hug. But it felt so intimate! F**k!! Ryan cursed within.
It's not! He gulped down hardly, walking back into the hall.
