Amy was a special case.
He hadn't found what was troubling her at that moment. She was still keeping it in, holding secrets that ate her from within. She would always mumble about family issues and whenever asked, she'd deflect or give the classic "You can't understand."
Even despite her troubles, she had still offered and was still offering a helping hand, going to lengths for the sweet, young man.
What more could they be hiding? How far would they go for him whilst they fight their own battles alone? Had he been selfish all this while?
How foolish he was to think he had been cursed all this while. He was surrounded by blessings, surrounded by beautiful women who were facing one or two hardships but still cared about him.
At this point, Syril didn't know what to feel.
Anger?
Betrayal?
Remorse?
He couldn't pinpoint anything. His head was a turmoil, an entanglement of emotions that hurt too much.
