In the hallowed halls of Spirit Hall, Hu Liena had just left, quite pleased with herself after a manipulative conversation with Bibi Dong, her Teacher, who was orchestrating a honey trap to ensnare Su Yan.
Suddenly, a message from Liu Erlong caught Hu Liena's eye, and she hurried back to find Bibi Dong.
"Teacher, this is terrible!" Hu Liena exclaimed breathlessly. "That scoundrel, Liu Erlong, she not only wants to withdraw from the 'Blind Douluo Combination'âshe's actually going on a blind date!".
Bibi Dong was stunned. "What? Liu Erlong is going on a blind date?" she asked. "With whom?".
Hu Liena focused on the content displayed in her jade mirror, analyzing the conversation. "No! Dugu Yan and Ning Rongrong are reacting strongly, so it's probably Su Yan⊠Damn it! She actually wants to eat the tender grass of a younger man," Hu Liena hissed. "She's trying to steal my man!".
Hu Liena felt Liu Erlong was being outrageous. She had once fought with her Teacher, Bibi Dong, over a man, and now she was trying to fight with Hu Liena over another man. Was there no end to this behavior?
Bibi Dong's face was a study in bewilderment. "Is it me, Bibi Dong, who's gone crazy, or is it her, Liu Erlong, who's lost her mind?" she wondered. "She's going on a blind date with Su Yan?".
A message popped up in the group chat from an unknown member: "Group Member Number Thirteen: No way, Liu Erlong, you're this decisive?".
At Moon Pavilion, Liu Erlong pulled Tang Yuehua out the door. Seeing the flurry of messages in the group chat, she was equally exasperated.
"Liu Erlong: I really believed your nonsense! What does my blind date have to do with you guys?" she messaged. "Why are you all so excited? What's wrong with me liking to eat tender grass?".
In the Crown Prince's Mansion, Qian Renxue was seething with fury.
Damn him! she thought. He went to Dugu Yan first, and now, he hasn't even left here yet, and he's going on a blind date with Liu Erlong?.
Qian Renxue watched Su Yan and the Little Monkey greedily devouring the food, and her heart nearly exploded with anger. He was eating and drinking her food here, only to turn around and go on a blind date with another woman. You truly treat me, Qian Renxue, like I'm nobody!
"Hmph!" Qian Renxue said sarcastically, her voice sharp. "What, eating so much? Won't there be food at your blind date later?".
Su Yan was completely lost, a series of question marks appearing in his mind. "Who?" he asked.
Qian Renxue sat down beside him, her face cold and accusatory. "Act!" she commanded. "Keep acting! Liu Erlong already said itâdo you really think I can't see what's going on?".
Su Yan quickly checked the jade mirror after hearing Qian Renxue's words.
"Ah~" he said. "This is just a misunderstanding! What does Liu Erlong's blind date have to do with me?".
Qian Renxue raised a delicate eyebrow and pressed him. "Are you absolutely certain she isn't going on a blind date with you?".
Su Yan was genuinely bewildered. "Why would you think she's going on a blind date with me?" he replied. "Even if I were to meet her, it would be a normal meeting, not a blind date. Besides, do I even need a blind date?".
Qian Renxue looked confused. "Then why are Dugu Yan and the others reacting so strongly?" she asked.
Su Yan pondered for a moment. "It must be a misunderstanding," he explained. "I only told them I was going out to meet someone. I came here to find you. Then, when Liu Erlong mentioned her blind date, they probably assumed I was going to meet her.".
"So that's what happened," Qian Renxue murmured, an inexplicable sense of relief washing over her. Her tone softened considerably as she asked, "Are you full? If not, I can have someone bring more food?".
Su Yan glanced at the Little Monkey. "Bring two more portions," he instructed. "You rich people eat for show; it's not practical at all. The portions of each dish are simply too small.".
Qian Renxue looked curiously at the man and the Little Monkey. She was quite surprised that Su Yan's Spirit could actually eat. If her own Spirit were like that, wouldn't it be like raising a little angel? It sounded quite interesting!.
Qian Renxue then ordered double portions of delicacies, which soon covered the large table.
A short while later, Qian Renxue saw that Su Yan was nearly finished eating and spoke up.
"Su Yan, you still haven't answered my question from earlier," she reminded him. "Are you willing to help me?".
Su Yan looked up at her, just about to give his answer, when Porcupinefish Douluo's voice echoed from outside.
"Young Lord, Moon Pavilion Master Tang Yuehua, accompanied by Blue Tyrant Academy's Dean Liu Erlong, are visiting," he announced.
"Hm?" Qian Renxue's expression immediately hardened. She spun around and looked at Su Yan, her face blazing with fury.
"Scoundrel!" she exploded. "You actually lied to me again? It's one thing for you to go on a blind date with her, but you actually arranged it right here in my Crown Prince's Mansion?".
Qian Renxue clenched her fists, practically fuming with rage.
Su Yan was utterly bewildered. "What? No!" he sputtered. "Listen to my sophistry! Wait, no, listen to my explanation! How could I inexplicably go on a blind date with Liu Erlong?".
Qian Renxue angrily retorted, "How am I supposed to know what you, this scoundrel, is thinking? In short, you⊠you didn't tell them my identity, did you?".
Su Yan's expression grew serious. "I didn't tell them I came to find you, nor did I tell them your identity," he confirmed. "I didn't even tell Dugu Yan and the others. Tang Yuehua and Liu Erlong are probably looking for you for something. This has nothing to do with me, so you handle it yourself. Don't let them know I'm here, or they might start to suspect who you really are.".
Seeing Su Yan's serious demeanor, Qian Renxue nodded slightly. "Okay," she said. "Then I'll resume Xue Qinghe's identity and go meet them. You⊠you wait for me to return. No sneaking off.".
"Okay," Su Yan agreed with a nod. His heart was now filled with curiosity.
Tang Yuehua and Liu Erlong were looking for Qian Renxue? No, they were looking for Xue Qinghe.
Wait a minute? A bold idea suddenly flashed through Su Yan's mind. Could it be that Liu Erlong and Tang Yuehua really want to eat tender grass? Did they actually set their sights on Qian Renxue??.
Su Yan almost burst out laughing at his own outlandish thought. I have to see this! I absolutely must see this!.
Su Yan quickly transformed, taking the form of a parrot, and quietly followed Qian Renxue. No, he was following Xue Qinghe now.
Meanwhile, in the group chat, a flurry of messages continued:
"Su Yan: Liu Erlong, you're actually going on a blind date?". "Su Yan: No, are you really not waiting for Yu Xiaogang anymore?
I thought I already had a way to help you and Yu Xiaogang be together.". "Yanzi Is Not Swallow: What? You want to help her and Yu Xiaogang be together?". "Group Member Number Nine: I didn't mishear that, did I?".
