Chapter 304 - V5 Chapter 49

Cassius was certainly playing the part of a mad scientist right now.

He had been bringing forward an idea he'd had over a decade ago, drawing on his memories of his previous life.

Drawing on the will to survive by a certain white skinned scientific ninja he brought the idea of immortality to the wizarding world.

But not just immortality like that which was brought about by the Philosopher stone.

The stone might prolong life but immortality is quite a bit different from eternal youth.

While what Cassius was trying to perform now was more of a mix between the two.

A method of taking Eternal Life that already existed in this world, and combine it with a form of eternal youth.

Ghosts existed in this world, and had since wizards and witches died with regrets.

A form of half life, where they could linger on, in almost all cases achieving whatever was tethering them to the world.

And combining it with another form of half-life.

His homunculous bodies were capable of being born without souls, while Ghosts were souls without bodies.

If you could use a form of ritual to mesh the unliving and false life together into one.

You could in a sense allow possession of the souless body effectively resurrecting the ghost back into a state of unlife.

His experiments had resulted in a good variety of successes however this would the true final experiment.

Homunculous were varied in how they came to be, regular humans only lasted like a month or two before dying, in an earlier experiment a ghost was able to possess a soulless human body and is still 'living' to this day, but it was a regular human, no magical pathways or abilities at all.

So while they were a wizard in their first life they were a muggle in their second, and being a homunculous couldnt receive the injection to awaken magical abilities like they could do to regular muggles.

But now they had the final piece of the puzzle.

A magical homunculous, a soulless body that had proper magical pathways and core.

A perfect vessel for a magical soul to possess.

Tonight was the night.

It was her night.

"Hello, Cassius." The calm cool and collected voice sounded out as a blueish figure phased through the wall entering the deep chamber possessing only medical monitoring equipment, and a table where a teenage girls body lay.

Lay there like a corpse except for the rythmic beeping of the machines and the slow rise and fall of the sheet lain across her chest.

Cassius dressed in modern medical robes, with a mask across his face, and looking every bit the doctor aside from his lack of height which would come with a few more years of growth.

Didnt even turn to look at the ghostly apparition that had appeared behind him.

"Welcome Helena." His tone reserved.

They had known one another for years, ever since he first came to hogwarts and found out his was the chosen heir of House Draconis.

Then with further revelations that Draconis was the mother to the founders themselves and even the true founder of Hogwarts.

Helena otherwise known as the grey lady came seeking out her Grandmother.

They endlessly discussed things, and there was even a moment after Cassius used his abilities to banish the Bloody Baron that she would pass on from this world.

But it was while she was fading from the world that she actually took a real look around her for the first time in decades if not centuries and realized she had more to still live for.

She had long distant cousins of all the descendant houses who still lived.

And key among them was the young lad who had made her false life as a ghost far far more tolerable, in fact he was the very reason she didnt feel the need to linger anymore.

And in doing so actually made her have a new regret that tethered her down to the earth.

And from that regret now created a whole knew scene.

"Are you ready?"

Cassius still speaking clinically asked, only giving her a sideways glance.

Helena had lived a relatively full life, she had lived well into her teen years, possibly even reaching graduation before the events that lead to her death took place.

"Pft, whats the worst that can happen?"

"Quite right, i suppose."

Cassius couldnt help but smirk at how this typically dour and generally gloomy ghost had instead become lively once again in the last few years.

She was so full of life, and longing to linger on.

Once given the choice between remaining as she was and claiming a new life.

She dove for it.

Promising Cassius her everything if he could make it happen.

But now as she floated there staring down at the soulless body that would become her own, she couldnt help but look back at Cassius a bit critically at how this artificial body was made to look exactly like herself.

It seemed he had planned this all along.

Helena had she passed on, and learned of this from behind the veil would have cried tears of blood.

At the knowing that there was a young man who loved her so deeply, so purely unlike any love she had ever received before in her entire life.

Helena couldnt possibly blush but even so she still brought a hand up to her cheek, as if checking to make sure she herself wasnt actually blushing.

And yet just the action of checking was witnessed by Cassius, and from his excessive witnessing of female behaviour knew what she was thinking.

But also having been surrounded by his girls, Cassius also knew what the end result would be if this experiment was a success.

And that would be the expansion of his 'harem' as the ressurected Helena would no doubt be joining his Draonis house, and the only remaining question then would be would she return to the school as a year 1 prodigy, or would she be returning where she left off?

The last option being a false identity to go along with her False body, and False life.

Allowing her to enroll as a transfer student and making her take the same year as Cassius.
