At the abandoned dock, the artificial sun's diameter had already exceeded two meters, and the surrounding magnetic force surged, sucking a large number of metal objects into the artificial sun.
"I won, New York is about to be destroyed."
Norman kicked Tony several meters away and laughed loudly, "I will become a god in the ruins of New York. By then, even that Ghost Rider will have to submit to me.
Iron Man, Spider-Man, it's a pity you won't get to see that moment."
Iron Man shouted, "The artificial sun will explode, and you'll die too, Norman. It's still not too late to stop Doctor Otto now."
"I won't die. I've made enough preparations."
Norman said, "Tony Stark, let me tell you something: the one who laughs last is the smartest person."
Tony's face was extremely grim. He unwillingly tried to fly into the sky, but Norman rushed over, grabbed his right leg, and slammed him hard onto the ground. With a bang, a large pit appeared on the ground.
"I really need to develop a close-combat system."
Tony cursed, climbed out of the pit, and continued fighting Norman. His expression was very anxious. Why hadn't that fiery guy shown up yet? Don't tell me he's stuck in traffic?
Just then, Doctor Otto's voice came from the abandoned building: "Norman Osborn, do you think you can laugh last?"
Norman was stunned. He turned his head and asked, "Doctor Otto, what do you mean?"
"I mean, you're a bastard who deserves to go to hell. You'll never have a good end."
Doctor Otto cursed, and then he controlled his four mechanical tentacles to smash the steel frames beneath the abandoned building, intending to destroy them all—he planned to sink the artificial sun into the river with him. Only then could he prevent the artificial sun from exploding.
Norman sensed something was wrong, jumped onto his glider, and flew towards the abandoned building. At the same time, he asked with a mix of shock and anger, "Doctor Otto, what are you doing?"
"I'm making up for my mistakes."
Doctor Otto shouted, "Iron Man, stop Norman! I have a way to solve the artificial sun problem."
"Doctor Otto, you've finally returned to normal. This is the real you."
Iron Man was overjoyed and vigorously chased after Norman.
Norman's face was extremely grim. He ordered Rhino, "Blow up the building with missiles."
"Yes."
Rhino, clad in heavy Armor, said nothing and continuously fired missiles at the abandoned building. His target wasn't Doctor Otto but the ceiling above Doctor Otto—if he attacked Doctor Otto directly, the missiles would be sucked into the artificial sun.
Boom, boom! The missiles exploded one after another, and the ceiling collapsed, heavily smashing onto Doctor Otto. Doctor Otto screamed and was crushed under the concrete blocks, spitting blood continuously.
"This is what happens when you go against me."
Norman cackled eerily and threw a pumpkin bomb at Doctor Otto. Doctor Otto hurriedly controlled his tentacles to grab the pumpkin bomb.
Just then, the bomb exploded, and a strange light illuminated the surroundings. Doctor Otto instantly turned into a skeleton.
Without a host, the mechanical tentacles fell weakly to the ground.
"What the heck?"
Everyone was startled. What kind of bomb was that? Its power was terrifying!
This was a dissolving bomb, an upgraded version of the dissolving ray gun. Its only drawback was that it was incredibly expensive, each worth several million dollars. Even Norman had only prepared one, to be used as a trump card.
"He just died like that?"
Doctor Otto's soul was utterly bewildered. What about saving New York and turning the tide?
Andrew's voice echoed in Doctor Otto's mind: "This is fate, Doctor Otto. Do you want to stay and watch the whole show, or go to hell right away?"
Doctor Otto gritted his teeth and said, "Of course I'll stay. I want to see how Norman dies."
"I told you, no one can stop me. Today, New York will surely be destroyed."
After killing Doctor Otto, Norman looked at the continuously expanding artificial sun and laughed triumphantly. Everyone's hearts sank. Could Norman truly not be stopped?
Just then, accompanied by the roar of a motorcycle, a ball of intense fire blazed across the river.
That's right, on the river surface. The motorcycle left a trail of white mist evaporated by the intense fire.
It's worth mentioning that Roxanne had already gotten off the motorcycle. She stood in the distance, holding a camera pointed at Johnny, her face full of excitement. That was her boyfriend, after all.
"Ghost Rider is here!"
Tony and Spider-Man were first overjoyed, then immediately realized something was wrong—the flame color was different, and furthermore, the one riding the motorcycle was a skeleton.
Tony was a bit confused: "Is he changing his look or something?"
Johnny said nothing. He raised his hand and threw a large fireball at Norman. Norman hurriedly dodged.
Then, Johnny took off the fiery chain wrapped around his body and forcefully swung it at the steel frames supporting the abandoned building. The chain, as if sentient, tightly wrapped around the steel frames.
Under the burning flames, the steel frames' temperature rapidly increased, turning them glowing red.
"No!"
Norman roared, activating his machine gun and wildly spraying bullets at Johnny. Johnny completely ignored him and pulled hard on the chain. The glowing red steel frames snapped immediately. Following that, the abandoned building tilted, and the artificial sun and instruments fell into the river together.
Under the effect of a large amount of river water, the artificial sun gradually extinguished. The crisis of New York's destruction was temporarily averted.
"It finally went out." Doctor Otto breathed a sigh of relief. Now he could die in peace.
"Ghost Rider, cool."
Seeing this scene, the audience cheered loudly. As expected of Ghost Rider, he never disappointed them, solving the disaster with one move.
Susan glanced at the screen, then turned to Andrew, looking puzzled. Why were there two Ghost Riders?
With the artificial sun extinguished, Norman was both despairing and furious—if he couldn't become a god, he was doomed. Neither Ghost Rider nor the Superheroes would let him go.
"I'm not reconciled! It was only one step away!"
Norman roared up at the sky. At this moment, the underground resentment completely erupted. Ancient One opened a gap, and some resentment and Evil God power surged out from the ground, pouring into Norman's body.
"This is... Evil God Power?"
Norman was stunned at first, then overjoyed. Immediately after, his body rapidly turned green and expanded, even his Green Goblin Armor was shattered and fell to the ground one after another.
"Resentment and Evil God Power, huh?"
Andrew's eyes flickered slightly. Having had this experience, next time, he would collect the resentment and Evil God Power in advance. It was fine for the Evil Demon to appear once, but if it appeared continuously, it would cause aesthetic fatigue.
"What's going on?"
Seeing Norman's transformation, everyone's expressions changed. Johnny, without a word, immediately swung his fiery chain and smashed it towards the old Green Goblin.
Just then, a pair of bat wings suddenly erupted from behind the old Green Goblin. Then, the wings flapped hard, batting away the fiery chain.
"I am Norman Osborn! I am the Green Goblin!"
Norman roared. Under the influence of the Evil God Power, he completely transformed into a monster—a monster over three meters tall, entirely green, with a single horn on its head, and bat wings and a tail on its back.
Overall, it looked like a demon, a green demon.
"Is this ever going to end?"
Tony's face was grim. This disaster, it seemed, was far from over.
The audience was dumbfounded. How did even a demon appear? Then, they suddenly realized, no wonder the old Green Goblin Osborn had become so deranged; it turned out he was possessed by a demon.
"Hahaha, heaven truly favors me! Since the artificial sun isn't working, I'll personally slaughter New York City."
The old Green Goblin laughed wildly. The surging Evil God Power made him incredibly bloated, and at the same time, his intelligence completely went offline.
"A demon? I specialize in dealing with demons."
Johnny snorted coldly and, riding his motorcycle, crashed into the old Green Goblin like a giant fireball.
The old Green Goblin flapped his wings and flew into the sky to avoid the motorcycle. Then, he wrapped his tail around Johnny on the motorcycle, forcefully pulled him down, and slammed him hard onto the ground.
Bang! A large pit was smashed into the ground by Johnny. Johnny roared, and Hellfire burned towards the old Green Goblin's tail.
Seeing this, the old Green Goblin forcefully threw Johnny into the sky. Then, he condensed dark energy in his right hand, forming a basketball-sized black orb, and blasted it at the falling Johnny.
Boom! Johnny exploded on the spot, his bones scattered everywhere.
"Ghost Rider died?"
Everyone, including the audience, was simultaneously bewildered. Was this Green Goblin too powerful? He even blew up Ghost Rider?
"You're embarrassing me."
Andrew looked disgusted. Taking advantage of the spreading fear and despair, he continued to sign soul contracts.
The old Green Goblin laughed wildly, "I am invincible!"
Just then, all the bones flew up on their own, reassembling into the skeleton Johnny on the ground. He rotated his neck and looked at the old Green Goblin with a solemn expression. The Evil God Power on him was very powerful.
Ghost Rider possesses an immortal body; killing him is almost impossible.
Seeing that Ghost Rider was not dead, everyone breathed a sigh of relief. Tony pouted and said, "Another knock-off."
Doctor Banner shouted discontentedly through the communicator, "Tony, I can hear you."
"You're not a knock-off, you're a comedian."
Tony flew beside Johnny and asked, "Can you get your colleague to come? The one who's especially good at acting cool?"
Johnny gave Tony a displeased look. He was about to answer when Andrew's voice echoed in his mind: "Tell him that the guy who's cool without even trying was punished by Heaven for lifestyle issues and can't use his power right now."
"Lifestyle issues?"
Johnny was bewildered. He asked, "Demon King, what are you trying to do?"
"Nothing."
Andrew replied, "My power is simply too strong. With me around, many villains don't dare to act rashly, and that's not good. New York is a place of freedom, and we can't stop those villains from pursuing their dreams. So, I've decided to retire."
"Freedom? Pursuing dreams? Are you sure you're not using the wrong words?"
Johnny retorted. He asked, "Are you doing this for the souls they bring? Demon King, are you really not going to intervene anymore?"
Andrew said, "Nonsense. Ghost Rider is just one of my aliases. If needed, I can always act under another alias, for example, a Kamar-Taj Mage."
..."I really hope you get beaten to death by the Sorcerer Supreme."
Johnny wanted to roll his eyes, though he had no eyes now. He said to Tony, annoyed, "That guy who's especially good at acting cool was punished by Heaven for lifestyle issues and lost his angelic power. From now on, he won't intervene to save New York anymore."
"Huh?"
The Superheroes and the audience in front of their televisions were once again bewildered. Lifestyle issues? What the heck? Is Heaven that strict with angels?
