Chapter 133 - Careless Spider-Man, New Super Heroes

"It seems someone else is secretly taking action," The Mastermind Norman Osborn said, looking down at the chaotic New York City with a smug expression.

With enhanced humans, Lizard, and various villains, those Super Heroes would surely be too busy to care about Dr. Otto's experiment.

Dr. Otto's laboratory was built in an abandoned building next to the Hudson River—part of the building was over the river.

He had already assembled all the equipment and was debugging it.

Barring any accidents, his experiment would begin in ten minutes.

In ten minutes, not only would those Super Heroes not discover it, but even if they did, they might not be able to make it in time.

It is worth mentioning that Norman was currently hiding above the dock, monitoring the experiment in an invisible state—he couldn't possibly not personally oversee such an important matter.

Additionally, Norman had placed three protectors around Dr. Otto: Electro, Rhino, and Niels, an Indian executive wearing a Green Goblin Armor.

Electro Max had already been subdued by Norman.

The process was not complicated; Norman promised to heavily rely on Max in the future and help him kill the traitor Spider-Man.

Max was very grateful and agreed to work for Norman.

Rhino, named Aleksei, was a Russian gang enforcer, an enhanced human, wearing the Osborn Group's Rhino heavy Armor.

Niels was an Osborn Group executive and Norman's confidant.

Besides the Green Goblin Armor, he also had a glider, pumpkin bombs, and other Green Goblin equipment.

Simply put, he was a knock-off Green Goblin.

Of course, none of these three knew Norman's true purpose.

Just as Norman was excited, a figure suddenly appeared on the monitor.

Norman fixed his gaze and saw that it was none other than Spider-Man, wearing his Spider-Man suit.

"Damn it, how did Spider-Man get here? At a time like this, shouldn't he be on the streets stopping enhanced humans? Can he not be so unprofessional?"

Norman's expression was a little grim.

He didn't know that the reason Spider-Man found the dock was because he had been tracking Dr. Otto during this period.

Tonight, he figured out a key point and successfully guessed the location of Dr. Otto's lair.

His intuition told Spider-Man that tonight's chaos might be related to Dr. Otto, so he specifically came to check it out.

"Electro, Rhino, Niels, Spider-Man has appeared.

Don't let him leave alive."

Norman commanded, "Electro, you attack first.

Use electricity to destroy his communicator.

He absolutely cannot be allowed to transmit any message."

"Leave it to me, Mr. Osborn.

Don't worry, Spider-Man is dead today," Electro shouted excitedly.

The last time he lost to Spider-Man was because he hadn't absorbed enough electricity.

This time, it wouldn't happen again; the entire Osborn Group's power grid was supporting him.

Most of New York City was powered by the Osborn Group, and this power system was designed by Max.

"Good."

Norman nodded.

The three Super Villains pretended not to notice Spider-Man, waiting for him to fall into the trap.

Just then, Spider-Man suddenly stopped.

His spider-sense told him that the abandoned dock was very dangerous.

He hesitated for a moment, put his hand to his ear, and prepared to call for backup.

When Norman saw Spider-Man's movement, he immediately shouted, "Electro, attack!

Niels, prepare to ambush!"

Electro wasted no words, transforming into electricity and teleporting in front of Spider-Man.

Then, he pushed his hands forward, and a current violently struck Spider-Man.

Spider-Man screamed, and the communicator in his ear was burned out.

Fortunately, Spider-Man's web-shooters were specially treated and unaffected.

He endured the pain and jumped aside, asking in shock, "Max, why are you here?"

"I'm here, of course, to kill you," Electro said with a sinister smile, continuously firing electricity at Spider-Man.

Spider-Man nimbly dodged using his spider-sense.

At this moment, Niels on the side pulled the trigger, and a dissolving ray attacked Spider-Man in the air.

Spider-Man sensed the danger immediately, tilted his head, and narrowly avoided the ray.

Then, Spider-Man turned his head to look behind him.

He saw Niels, was startled at first, and then reacted, "You're not Mr. Osborn.

You are The Mastermind behind this incident."

"So what?" Niels snorted, releasing spinning blades to attack Spider-Man.

Spider-Man hurriedly used his web to evade.

Just then, Electro teleported beside him, and a current violently blasted him to the ground.

"Finally, you're down," Rhino said with a sinister smile, charging at Spider-Man like a real Rhino.

Dr. Otto heard the commotion outside and sped up the machine's debugging.

This time, he had to succeed, or he would be letting himself and Osborn down.

"Who is this again?"

Spider-Man rolled to avoid Rhino's charge.

At this moment, he discovered Dr. Otto and the artificial sun device in the abandoned building, shouting in alarm, "Dr. Otto, stop immediately!

Your experiment will destroy New York."

Dr. Otto shouted, "Shut up!

My experiment will benefit all humanity.

This time, I will not fail again."

Spider-Man wanted to say something more, but Electro appeared in front of him again, two currents blasting violently towards him.

Spider-Man quickly jumped to evade.

He hesitated for a moment, did not stay to fight, turned around, and used his web to escape into the distance.

"By my strength, I can't stop Dr. Otto.

I must find others to help."

This was Spider-Man's thought; New York City had more than one Super Hero.

Norman quickly shouted, "Stop him!

He must not be allowed to escape."

Niels and Electro immediately chased after him.

Rhino remained in place to protect Dr. Otto.

At this moment, Spider-Man escaped onto a steel bridge.

Seeing this, Norman ordered Niels to throw pumpkin bombs downwards.

Niels hesitated for a moment, then chose to comply.

Boom, boom, boom, the pumpkin bombs exploded one after another, blowing up many cars.

The steel bridge was also blown open, flames spread, and countless people screamed and shrieked.

Spider-Man was greatly alarmed, immediately stopping his escape to save people.

He shot webs from both hands simultaneously, suspending a car that had fallen from the bridge in mid-air.

Just then, a scream came from nearby.

Spider-Man turned his head and was shocked to find that the one screaming was Mary Jane—she was tightly clutching a steel rope, her body swaying wildly in the strong wind.

Spider-Man quickly stuck a web to the side, then swung forcefully towards Mary Jane, successfully catching her as she fell.

Mary Jane screamed at first, then, sensing someone embracing her, she opened her eyes.

Then, she joyfully shouted to Spider-Man, "You saved me again?"

Spider-Man had saved Mary Jane several times, and they had even kissed once in the rain.

However, she did not know that Spider-Man was her good friend Peter Parker.

"Lady, hurry and leave here."

There were too many people needing rescue, and Spider-Man dared not waste time.

He sent Mary Jane onto the bridge, preparing to save others.

Just then, Electro appeared in front of him, spreading his hands, and brilliant currents continuously blasted towards him.

Spider-Man quickly dodged.

Suddenly, two pumpkin bombs landed at Mary Jane's feet.

Spider-Man's expression changed drastically; he immediately rushed over, embraced Mary Jane, and jumped into the river.

Niels did not notice the special relationship between Spider-Man and Mary Jane.

The reason he did this was because he knew very well that Spider-Man would never stand by and watch civilians die.

Boom, boom, the two pumpkin bombs exploded simultaneously, blowing Spider-Man and Mary Jane away.

Then, both fell into the river.

Fortunately, Spider-Man was tough and not seriously injured.

He held Mary Jane and surfaced below the bridge.

Mary Jane gasped for air.

At this moment, she was shocked to discover that Spider-Man was actually Peter Parker—Spider-Man's mask had fallen off due to the explosion and the river water.

Mary Jane asked incredulously, "Peter, is that you?"

Spider-Man was shocked, quickly retrieved the remaining mask to cover his face, and then said, "You stay here, I'll go save others."

Mary Jane pulled Spider-Man, kissed him on the cheek, and said, "Go, my good neighbor."

Spider-Man, greatly encouraged, used his web to fly upwards and re-engage Electro and Niels in battle.

"Saving Mary Jane again? It seems Jameson's son is destined for tragedy."

At a private estate outside New York City, Andrew shook his head repeatedly as he watched.

In the old Spider-Man trilogy, Mary Jane was kidnapped in every movie, which was quite speechless.

Why was Andrew at a private estate? Of course, it was due to Norman Osborn's arrangements.

He had arranged a charity gala and invited Andrew and Susan to attend.

Andrew knew the old Green Goblin's intentions, did not refuse, and bought some so-called charity jewelry for Susan along the way.

"Destroying New York with an artificial sun to enhance the power of the evil god? It seems the old Green Goblin is completely controlled by the evil god's power.

However, this is not a bad thing for me; there will be great gains tonight."

Andrew thought to himself.

At this moment, he sensed something and frowned slightly—the resentment and evil god's power beneath New York were boiling.

Andrew contacted Ancient One and asked, "Sorcerer Supreme, is your seal working? Why does it feel like there's a problem?"

"The seal is not the problem, New York is the problem," Ancient One said.

"Slaughter and Death are triggering a resonance of resentment, and it is furiously impacting the seal.

I am preparing to release a portion of the resentment and evil god's power."

"You want to use this method to gradually weaken the beast's resentment and evil god's power?"

Andrew stroked his chin and asked, "What happens when resentment leaves the seal?"

"It will attach itself to special targets, such as people with evil god power, or people full of hatred.

At that time, an evil demon will appear in New York City," Ancient One said.

"Of course, this is nothing to you."

Andrew asked, "Of course it's nothing, Sorcerer Supreme.

If this happens a few more times, can the resentment be completely eradicated?"

Ancient One shook her head, "It's difficult.

New York City is full of evil, and the beast's resentment and evil power are continuously replenished.

This method can only weaken it."

"No choice, New York has too good feng shui."

Andrew shook his head.

At this moment, Alice suddenly reported, "BOSS, four suspected demon monsters have been found."

As she spoke, Alice projected a hologram showing four human-like Giant Turtles wearing clothes and holding weapons.

"They are not demons, they are Super Heroes."

Seeing these four Giant Turtles, Andrew couldn't help but laugh.

They were the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and they also had a peerless genius rat master—that rat became a master, along with the four turtles, by picking up a 'textbook'.
