Inside the boardroom of the Wright Agency, what should have been a coordinated meeting had devolved into something closer to a protest.
"It is a matter of basic mathematics," one director shouted. "A partnership with Kingsley isn't just profitable. It'll rewrite our market. Their infrastructure alone would cut our overhead by half. We'd be untouchable."
"Look at the pattern, you fool!" another one slammed the table. "Have you heard of the Miller Group or the Hayes Group? No, you haven't, because they no longer exist. With your decision, the Wright Agency will be the next to join them. There will be no Wright. Only Kingsley."
Among the heated executives screaming at each other's throats, one figure sat motionless at the head of the table. Arabella's expression was nothing short of terrifying.
