I stood restless, eyes blinking slowly. Looking at the scene in front of me.
"I have cleaned the room, but it's still not…"
My mom's words trailed off as her eyes glanced around the room and then hesitantly landed on the figure standing just beside me.
"Are you sure you don't want to use the guest room?"
As expected, they looked wary of her now. Alina was someone to be wary of. The Kingsleys were the royalty of the city, so their arrival was not something that should be welcomed with open arms.
My mind was still reeling, stuck in the living room. After Alina said Kingsley, there had been some arguments from my aunts, but the blood drained from their faces when Alina asked a single question.

Even though Alina had been smiling the whole time, they didn't linger and fled instead. They didn't say a single word, but their expressions showed that they hadn't fully believed her. That was when Alina reminded them to keep her identity to themselves.
