The room was completely dark, as expected.
Still, she had at least hoped that the lamp by his bed would be on, because she couldn't see very well in the dark, she was almost night-blind. Because of that, before closing the door, she took a quick look around the room.
She saw Julian sleeping in the bed. She realized he was asleep, so she was about to leave the room, but something stopped her.
Since it was december, the nights were very cold, and when she noticed that Julian wasn't covered with a blanket, she frowned, stepped inside, and closed the door behind her.
After reaching Julian with quick steps, she tried not to wake him as she started searching for the blanket.
Only then did she realize it wasn't on the bed. She had just spotted it on the chair beside the bed and was about to head that way when her body was suddenly pulled toward the mattress.
Julian dragged her onto the bed in one swift motion and leaned over her.
"Why are you here?" he asked.
